E. Jade Lomax has the ability to make the reader agree with multiple, opposing viewpoints. It's also believable, earned. No change of heart is quick or random. It's a long, slow, painstaking process.
I loved the relationship between Gregory and Andrea, and Will finally meeting Elijah. Fleshing out Sebastian and Marie also helped Gabrielle grow as a character and a person.
I enjoyed the little touches of romance in this one, especially regarding Pieter and Nathaniel. (I know it wouldn't happen, but in my imaginary epilogue, Marie and Lia get together. Oh well. Maybe when Lia marries she'll keep Marie as a lady-in-waiting with benefits, or have a loving polyamorous marriage.)
Must add, the fighting/battle scenes are well done. Lots of characters and situations to juggle, and it's done with aplomb.

I am glad that this story is complete. It's so beautiful, and the endings, are better than I can ever imagine.

gosh this is such a lovey ending to a fantastic book. I crave so much more now though. to be honest I decided to rate this at 5 stars about half way through; the lives of these characters have swallowed me and I can't stop wondering about their futures, I still really want to see a future where the sisters reign, where the seeming incompetence of their parents are remedied, and where their friends and new allies help them build a better world for everyone.

Simply excellent. I'm speeding my way through this series because I just can't seem to put it down! I love the intrigue and plots. Lomax is great at foreshadowing; she drops hints which are just right - subtle and non-clunky, making you feel like you've discovered a secret. Go read this if you haven't yet! They are available on her website!
