An Egyptian holy man for the religion of Islam is assassinated, and the killer leaves a gold cross as his calling card. The same Christian assassin kills on US soil, and it is now up to the FBI and Interpol to bring him to justice. FBI Agents John Knox and Beth White team up with Interpol Inspector Malik Sharif, but they are at a loss when the assassin leaves no trace of evidence at crime scenes. Meanwhile the assassin is starting his own personal war with Muslims, and the government he works for becomes suspicious. Can a Christian FBI agent and a Muslim Interpol officer put aside their differences, and perhaps even use them to track down the assassin? Can Agent White battle her spiritual demons? Can the agents find the killer before the media turns the case into an international religious circus? Join the investigators on a journey that will remind you of the latest assassin-style video game, and your latest crime novel. But before it's all over, ask yourself - is the assassin any different than you or me...or is he just - Misguided?

I am a police officer who also aspires to be a best-selling author one day. Also, I thought maybe if I gave fans a peak at old blog posts, they could really get to see how I think. I don't know if that is a good thing or not, but hey - it's worth a shot. The main thing you need to know about me is that I am a Christian, I am conservative, and I am a pretty opinionated yet laid back kind of guy. I thrive on hearing or seeing a good story, and I have decided to give my own storytelling a try in the world of fiction. I am a family man, with a beautiful wife, and a freaky-intelligent son. I also have three dogs, Toby and Cooper, and our former foster dog who we just had to adopt - Daddy's girl - Layla.

Thank you to Jason for offering a copy for me for an honest review.

FBI Agents John Knox and Beth White team up with Malik Sharif form Interpol to capture a killer who becomes known as the Jesus Assassin - an assassin who is taking out Muslim imams one at a time, leaving a gold cross as his calling card at each crime scene. To make matters more complicated, the federal agents are Christians, while the Interpol man is a Muslim. See them match wits and figure out how to work together as they follow clues that lead them to the assassin...only to find out that they are not the only people after him.

A well crafted, well written great paced action thriller, with a strong and powerful story, great characters good and bad.

From the start I was hooked knowing it was my type of book, with characters chasing each other , twists and turns, to the very few last pages of the book.

With all forms of police, Interpol, CIA and FBI all involved.

The author a police man himself and also a strong believer in Christianity, brings a book with no much swearing, bloody violence, or strong sex scenes.

Still a great thriller, number two will be bought shortly

a clear 4 stars.

Found this free for Kindle. This is Jason Bourne meets Homeland meets NCIS meets Christian fiction. Originally it was self-published, this is a Fortress Press edition. I found it a little predictable and I am not a huge fan of the writing style. It doesn't go very high on my recommendation list but I may read the next in the series.

Could this really happen

I read the book wondering if it included even a hint of reality. Does our government endorse a Robert Brady and these type of activities?

An US trained assassin goes after Muslim holy men and 2 FBI and 1 Interpol agent team up to find the assassin. I thought the premise of the book worthy but the ending very unfinished. All through the book it talked about the 12th holy man like it was some portent - but it didn't finish that part of the plot at all. Would not continue on if there were additional books at this point.

Debut novel for this author, who is a devout Christian and active police officer. He successfully taps into the moral dilemma faced by Christians today in attempting to deal with Islam and practicing Muslims. The book has some structural errors and some formatting issues, but is well worth reading to get to the meat of the story, which is well crafted. I plan on checking out more of his work.

Jason E. Fort’s debut novel hits you like freight train! Stripped from the headlines, he tackles a topic many think of and few talk about, and the story is not what you might think it is. Action, suspense, empathy, surprise...he’s got it all! An enjoyable read!

The Book
Islam Imans are being assassinated. The killer leaves a gold cross at the crime scene and is labeled the, "Jesus Assassin." The FBI and Interpol seek to bring him to justice. FBI Agents John Know and Beth White team up with Inspector Malik Sharif to track down the killer. But this team is not alone in tracking down the murderer.

My Thoughts
The word that comes to mind is superb. I really enjoyed this book. The assassin was misguided much the same way Judas was corrupted. Judas felt he was helping God in His overall plan. Robert Brady, aka Jesus Assassin, kept a journal. His thoughts were chilling as he helped God.
The characters were ones that I could identify with. They were human and made mistakes even as Christians.
This book was packed with suspense and mystery. Twists and turns kept me reading at full speed.
I had to laugh at the humor. One scene a person was being interrogated by terrorists. The guy while duct taped to a chair says, "The ones that sent me asked if you wanted to buy girl scout cookies." I laughed so hard. That was just one example. Jason is a witty writer and I love it.
This was a very exciting read and I look forward to the next books.

What made this book interesting for me was how it was tied to the 2001 World Trade Center attacks, and the rippling impact that event had on the lives of many others. When Robert Brady’s parents are killed in the World Trade Center in 2001 he enlists with the CIA to take out Muslim terrorists. One day, the terrorists find Brady’s family and execute his wife and child.

While continuing his job at the CIA, on the side he vows to kill 12 Islamic leaders in revenge for the death of his family. However, in his blind desire to retaliate, he doesn’t bother to distinguish between good Muslim leaders and Muslim terrorists.

FBI agents John Knox and Beth White (both Christians) are on his trail. They team up with Interpol Inspector Malik Sharif (who is Muslim). As the intrepid three agents track down clues, sparks fly between Knox and White, and the body count continues to climb.

For those who like action and international intrigue, mixed in with a little romance and religious overtones, this book is your cup of tea.

Very well written, action packed novel. A very touchy topic especially in this day and age, with the ongoing conflicts and hate against the Islamic religion. Whoever is the ultimate bad guy, is a sense of perception, and blaming it on an entire religious group is in my opinion never the answer. The author did an amazing job in attracting the reader from the very beginning, jumping right into the action of the assassinations. You will find this hard to put down. A silent religious war. At first I was very shocked at what I was reading, but then the story does get better as we see the two sides working together to bring down the murderer, who in the end is the bad guy, seeking revenge on religious leaders for killing his daughter and wife. Divide and conquer is the ultimate tool for control.

How do I honestly review my own book? I wrote this story by a spontaneous inspiration working in the ER at the hospital one night. The story itself reflects my interpretation of how others perceive us...by what we exhibit as our guidance through life. I took it to the next level by picking controversial current events and mixing it with two very opposing religious views. Overall, I think the story does this well. I tried to use very descriptive details because I wanted readers to be able to envision the action on the pages like an assassin-style video game. If you get a chance, read Misguided. It will at least make you appreciate the way the author thinks, as well as reveal a little bit of local color with the closing scenes of the book.
