Stax and Strangler find their lives on a collision course with an unknown force hell bent on taking over every Club in the south. As they attempt to solve the mystery of who is trying to destroy the biker community and why, prospects and family members fall victim and the GGS is forced to find a way to save themselves, their Club and ultimately the very MCs that consider them unworthy.
Pamela prefers to be in the wind, surrounded by like minded souls. She enjoys riding, listening to country, southern and classic rock, socializing and writing. Living in the Midwest with her husband of twenty-five years, they put their Harley in the wind and ride to rallies, enter poker runs and hold benefits for their community every chance they get.
Are you, are you Coming to the tree? They strung up a man They say who murdered three. Strange things did happen here No stranger would it be If we met at midnight In the hanging tree. "The Hanging Tree" song by JENNIFER LAWRENCE:
As President Slider wanted more for his family, his brotherhood. As founding father of the Good Gaelic Souls it was his job to ensure their safety in numbers and survival. To make sure there was a future generation of GGS if civil war or natural disaster occurred. But then everything changed! Stax being the dutiful daughter of the president and the backbone of the club follows her father’s wishes, as her position within the club has forever been altered. The race for a new president begins. But how do you pick up the pieces to a broken heart? How do you show inner strength to your brothers and sisters when your world is collapsing? The drums of war is pounding! A new enemy is at the gate. Like locusts the Unknown Club (UC) invades, conquering territory in vast numbers, leaving only death and destruction in their wake. Strangler has been groomed for this all his life. He will defend, he’ll protect what is his! If you're stupid enough to try and take what is GGS, you will die. Want to know what happens next? Sure you do, read the book! Worthy of the five star rating!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. This book was very different from my usual biker fare. Good Gaelic Souls is a Hereditary Club versus an MC. One of the biggest differences that made was the status of women. Women are allowed to be full members versus property. There is also dreaminess to the writing that reminds me of old school historical romances. It really plays well in a tale featuring bikers in a castle. This feeling is helped along with everything written in third person perspective. This is a welcome reading change for me.
Wonderful book full of great characters that leave you wanting more of the story. Cant wait to read the next in the new series. Fabulous new author, ready to see more books from Pamela Murdaugh-Smith.
What I liked about this book was the idea of forming a group of people who all worked togeather pooling their resources to make a community where they all fit in and belonged. A group of biker's.
All supporting one another in their chosen professions to make their group whole and supported, emotionally, financially, and it works for them.
I loved Stax and her quirky love of earrings, good food, the ocean, horses, her man, and her Irish heritage.
In my dreams ..... oop's I mean in the book Stax and her crew and father had built a big huge Irish castle filled to the brim with everything you could desire and or need. It is a fortress and did I mention Id love to live in this castle.
Why? it has a library, a arsenal, among other things, Im sure the horses make it a great fantasy for me. What girl would not want to live in a castle, with horses, a library of books, guns, and hot biker men, at her disposal.....that adore her.... Ohhh, that be ME.......
Oh, so to get back to the book... Stax father has passed away and her boy friend takes the title of new President. Then some shady things start happening that force the close knit group to re evaluate.
A bunch of idiots are threatening their beautiful life with a take over and they must prepare for war....a battle a big ass fight....
Will, this MC and the beautiful Irish princess be able to keep their life the way they invisioned, will the castle still be their fortress?
I guess I must keep my head in the clouds, I mean in a book and read the second installment to find out if the princess in the castle and her Knight in shinning armor will have the happy ever after with their band of merry MC misfits.
Or will the evil assholes, I mean evil enemies force Stax and her merry MC to give up and let go of the life they always wanted? On to the next book...Guess this fairy tale is not over...
5 surreal stars This is not your typical MC romance. It's more focus on the family and community connection associated with a biker group of GGS. In this story, GGS is focused on preserving their heritages. President Slider wanted more for his family and his brotherhood. The founder of the Good Gaelic Souls it was his job to ensure their safety and to make sure there was a future generation of GGS.
Stax, daughter of the president following her father’s footstep as her position within the club has forever changed. Since her father passed away and her boyfriend takes over as President. Then you see things unraveling that force the group to reevaluate.
Strangler, member of GGS will defend and protect what is his to the death!
How do you mend a broken heart? Is there enough strength to show your brothers and sisters when the world around you is falling apart? The war is at it peaks when enemies are near. Enemies are threatening their lives and they must prepare for war. Unknown Club (UC) destroyed territories leaving only death and destruction as they pass by.
Will the MC and the Irish princess be able to keep their lives the way they dreamed or will it be a nightmare?
BTW....did I mention there was a castle?!?!
Bandits taking care of their own and a castle!! Looking forward to book 2!
3.5 Stars Need to think about my review. Too late / early in the morning to do it justice now but it was a different style of biker / MC book than I have read recently. Took me a while to get into the story but once I did I enjoyed it. You'll want to head straight into the next book though as this one ends in a cliffy :) Thank you to the author for providing a copy of this book to read.
I enjoyed this book. But the price for the next book was more than I wanted to spend for a book that was not amazing for me. This could have gone into the amazing if it had more dialogue and action, instead of so much narration, trying to explain all aspects of the people in it.
Recieved in exchange for an honest review. This was quite different than any other biker book I have read. It took some getting used to with all the different pov's. But once in, it was something I had to see through to the very end.
