Alaska weather is awful, dogs are mean, wolves are mean, people are mean. One of the men, Weedon Scott, is different. He trains the ½ wolf ½ dog named White Fang to love him. White Fang is loyal only to him. When Scott returns to his home in California, White Fang goes with him and learns to adapt to his new family. He saves Weedon’s father and almost dies. A precious, sweet ending. Very nice illustrations.
