In the dazzling world of K-pop, where fame is fleeting and secrets come at a cost, Jace—a brooding, bad-boy idol—and Minho—the band’s talented makeup artist—find themselves tangled in a forbidden love that threatens everything they’ve built. As their relationship blooms behind closed doors, another member’s gentle confession sparks a love triangle that tests loyalty, friendship, and the meaning of family.
When a single photograph exposes their secret, Jace and Minho must decide between their careers and their hearts. With the world watching, the members of ECLIPSE—and later NOVA—face a battle for their identity, their music, and their love.
Encore of the Heart is a powerful story of passion, resilience, and the unbreakable bond that can survive even the brightest spotlight.
The blending of BL and K-pop is almost a natural progression, and this book had all of the bones to be great. Unfortunately, the repetitive statements from the characters and the haphazard writing took away from a lot of it. They made it seem like one of the characters had been there from the beginning of the groups formation, when in fact he was brand new. They made a lot of lines blur between questions like, was he a makeup artist? Was he a part of the group? Did he just decide he was going to write songs? The love triangle was handled poorly, and the overuse of the word hyung got irritating. It wasn't a bad book? But it wasn't great either.
