The Bear’s Perfect Mate is the fourth title in the Bear Creek Forever: Thornberg Vineyard series, and brings us Sophie’s and Nero’s complex romance. Sophie is a recipe creator, a cookbook ghostwriter, an influencer with her own following… but none of that mattered when the man she loved, trusted betrayed her with her PA, her friend. But worse, it’s his cookbook she’s ghostwriting, creating recipes for him instead of herself. She’s beyond devastated, now she’s lacking trust in herself, in anyone else, and building walls that will be difficult to scale. She’s in Bear Creek for a wedding expo, not realizing that her entire life is about to change because of one man, one fated mate.
Nero is a jeweler who specializes in not only restoring older broken pieces, but also in creating new and exciting pieces, often special designs. He’s just finished an engagement ring for a friend and is preparing to deliver it to the wedding expo… and his brother Finn has just texted the station number he’s to deliver it to. And once again, Finn’s magical touch of matchmaking strikes as Nero is sent to the wrong station to completely embarrass himself in front of his mate, his mate who is furious and looking at him not with love but as though he’s the ultimate disaster to enter her life. Not a good start for a fated mate bond.
I enjoyed The Bear’s Perfect Mate by Harmony Raines so much. Sophie easily captured my heart as her walls slowly crumbled thanks to Nero’s steady influence of simply being there, and being himself. Her confidence in herself, in her talent, has been badly bruised by her cheating ex, yet she’s beginning to come back to life, but it’s taking time and patience from Nero and his impatient bear. I enjoyed watching their bond grow as Sophie regained her self-worth, and even in the face of confrontation, she stands tall, stubborn as she fights for what is hers. If you love a well-written shifter romance full of all the emotions you could ask for, some steaminess, lots of humor, and a couple to root for, then you’d love Sophie and Nero.

The jewel designer brother finds his mate but can he convince her to stay?
Finn has done it again, Sophie is in Bear Bluff for a wedding expo and to try and reimagine her life when Nero accidentally stumbles in front of her holding an engagement ring! What's a girl to do when she finds herself in the spotlight after leaving behind a terrible betrayal of her trust? Is this some kind of joke? It's no joke to Nero, Sophie is his fated mate, but she only plans on being in the area for 2 days. He will have to work hard and fast to convince her that this is real and not a scam. Can he do it? Read this to find out!
The pace is fast and the tone is uncertain yet hopeful with a character centered storyline that only has steamy suggestions, not detailed descriptions. The characters are vivid and endearing. Read at the minimum, this series in order, or the Thornberg Ranch series in order and then these. But if you like them, you may want to start at the beginning by reading the Bear Bluff and Bear Creek box set, then the Return to Bear Bluff box set and the many Return to Bear Creek box sets and single titles in order. Then there are MANY side series set in and around Bear Creek, including Bear Creek Forever#1 Thornberg Ranch series and then Thornberg Vineyard series.

Nero has been waiting for his mate his whole life. When he heads to the wedding expo to drop off the ring he designed for a friend, he didn't expect to come face to face with her. Or more to the point, fall to his knee in front of her with a ring box in his hand! Oh boy, his mate looks mad as the devil & she is glaring a hole right through him!
Sophie just wants to get through this day & head back to her hotel for a bath & a glass of wine. After finding her "boyfriend" in bed with her personal assistant, she just wants to forget men exist. So why is this man an his knee with a ring, while everyone is filming it for social media? This must be some kind of stunt to humiliate her, someone sent by Tito!
Nero needs to do damage control, so when Sophie mentions that she may stay in Bear Creek for a while, he offers her his guest house & use of the nicest kitchen she has ever seen. While Nero spends his days in his studio, creating beautiful jewelry, she spends time creating meals for him. When given the opportunity to do a pop-up dinner at the vineyard, Sophie can't believe her luck. Just when things are looking up, a visitor from her past could destroy it all. Will their budding love last, or will the past ruin everything? This story was lovely, heartfelt, emotional, sweet, spicy & wow, kinda hot as well! Enjoy!!

Cooking in bear creek
I do love this author wishing moon bay is my favourite. This series is good but not best work so do read others.
I have noticed they do not warn, it's still me I will not hurt you before they turn to bear. Really just Bam.
I would of like lose ends tied up, she had a commitment to his book what happened, did she talk to her best friend again or not who did she replace her with as a personal assistant? To much detail on not so important and less on what mattered. That's why three stars but like I said not her normal work so keep reading.

Loved it!!!
Who could have known how this would all turn out ..no one could. I think this was the best of the others in this series...topping it off with a celebration for Norman and Hilda 50th Anniversary, Sophie Cookbook with a twist, and a baby on the way. Which makes two babies on the way..or will there be more. Can't wait to read another of Finn's Mishaps pairing..lol.

A new Thornberg bro!
I love the newest brother in this series - Nero. Not only does he have a cool name, but he's taken his own path and is a Thornberg that does not work with the land. A high-end artisan jeweler, he finally finds his mate. A social media recipe queen named Sophia. This was such a fun romance with descriptions of some out of this world sounding food!

Good Book. Slightly repetitive.
I love the beginning, then it turned into Cassia's story. It would have been a better book if there had been some explanation of why Sophie's family wasn't there for her book signing it anything else.

Bear Creek Thornberg book 4
This is the 4th book in the series and it is just as good as the first3. You will think you are reading double in Chapter 22. You will be. One sentence was put in twice. The book was really good. Definitely a must read for the complete series.
