The Gemini Effect

Rate this book
A sexy contemporary romance about a case of mistaken identity in which Sarah falls for her boyfriend's twin brother... (15+) This is the third novel in the Deception series, and is set in England (York and Cornwall) and Canada.

Sleeping with the wrong twin.
What would make a ‘nice girl’ jump into bed with a total stranger?

Sarah had been keeping her boyfriend Christopher at arm’s length for simply ages, never quite ready to commit. But now he was back, and suddenly she wanted him with every fibre of her being. But why did she now feel so different towards him?

Christian is stunned when a gorgeous stranger throws herself into his arms and rushes him back to his hotel room. She seems to think she knows him, and somehow he can’t find the words to protest. After all, who could resist such a desirable woman? The only problem is, the longer he leaves it the harder it is to tell her the truth. How can he ever excuse his deception? And what will his brother say?

About the author

Emily Arden

5 books6 followers
Emily Arden is fascinated by people and their relationships, and loves exploring stories both old and new about the search for love and happiness. She has been writing since university: first poetry and history, then more recently music and novels.

It is the stories about love and human relationships that she enjoys creating the most, and she is currently
publishing her first series of romantic novels ‘Deception’ (Sexy Contemporary, 15+). She is also writing a series of historical romances set during the French Revolution (The French Connection) and a novel about a somewhat different form of time travel (The mirror of time).

Emily writes about the sorts of characters and stories that she likes to read about. She likes passionate heroines who believe in themselves and their right to a great match. She likes men with a blend of strength and caring - not too hard and tough, not too rich and unrealistic. Just real men. She likes her characters to be nuanced, and capable of change and adaptation. They should not expect to have everything their own way, as the best relationships involve compromise. But the important thing is that they love each other enough to be prepared to take risks and make it work.

Just finished this book and really enjoyed it. Gorgeous Canadian twins, sweet English girl, some great locations (York town, Tintagel Castle) and some really juicy scenes. Sexed-up scrabble is something I definitely want to try some time. And that trip to Britain I have been promising myself. I guess I should head over there rather than reading about it all the time. But in the meantime, I will definitely read more books by this author.
