I flew to the Caribbean for one week of damage control. Instead, I fell into the arms of my barefoot, surf-obsessed client.
I’m supposed to be fixing a spa project on a sweltering hot island (not my idea of a good time), but my client, Liam Carter, is getting in my way and on my nerves. He's the kind of man who makes business meetings shoes-optional.
He's beach hair and kombucha, and I'm pants and big hats.
And yet somehow I end up clinging to him on the back of an ATV, his shirt half-ripped open.
But there's more to Liam, so much more than I originally thought, and one night he makes me forget I ever belonged in Manhattan.
It turns out Liam isn’t just the barefoot CEO of this eco-resort—he’s showing me a different kind of life.
But the deeper I fall, the harder it gets to hide the my company’s grander plans and my overbearing father could destroy everything.
And if I don’t find a way to get him to back down, Liam will lose everything. And I'll lose Liam.
Enemies-to-lovers, fish-out-of-water, forced proximity, eco-romance, found family, comedy Spice Slow burn + sweet with low steam If you like Christina Lauren and Emily Henry, you’ll love this flirty, tropical escape full of banter and heart.
Chasing Sunshine was a fun, sweet read. There was some cute banter moments and the island vibes were plentiful. I did feel the character and world building were surface level. I would have liked to see more depth into the conversations and development of their relationship. I did appreciate the healthy work-life balance perspective!! Spice level: 🌶️.

This story made me stop and think about my own work-life balance. Elena has not taken a vacation in years; always the dutiful daughter. Yet, one favor owed changes her life forever. Elena finds peace and inner strength while on the island, and she is not willing to let anything destroy that.
She is an architect tasked with saving a design project on a gorgeous island. Elena starts off on the wrong foot literally right from the start when she face plants in the garden. Liam is a laid back surfer and CEO of the resort. Can she let go of her city girl persona and fix this project? Will a visit from her father’s developer friend cause her to lose everything she has gained so far, in regards to Liam’s trust and affection? This was an utter delight to read. I enjoyed the characters and the storyline very much. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book provided by booksprout.
Flirty, fun, and full of tropical charm. This romance sweeps you away to the Caribbean with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and just the right amount of heart. The clash between a Manhattan professional and her carefree, surf-obsessed client makes for delicious enemies to lovers tension, while the eco resort setting adds a fresh, meaningful layer to the story. With slow burn spice, laugh out loud moments, and a love that feels as warm as the island sun, this is the perfect escape read for fans of Christina Lauren and Emily Henry.
Super cute vacation rom-com read! I can see it being an interesting film one day. It's hard to get into at first cause there are some timing issues with characters just randomly appearing in conversations despite never being present or introduced into the scene.
As short stories go, the author did a good job capturing various story lines while trying to create intrigue. She also did a great job making the characters loveable.

'The barefoot CEO. This guy thinks business meetings are shoes-optional. I came here to work. He wants to teach me how to surf.'
The plot was pretty straightforward. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfect together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Chasing Sunshine is a story about Elena an Architect who goes to an island to plan a Spa. But was given wrong information so has to start from beginning and stay longer than planned. But I loved how the resort staff and islanders work together to give the visitors a special eco-friendly experience. Great story that I enjoyed reading and I recommend that you read.

The story drew me in immediately. From the awkward meet cute to Elena fumbling her pitch, getting drunk, and starting to embrace island life, I was invested in her character's growth. She grows to love the island, and while it was unclear why she didn't say something to Liam sooner when the island is in danger, she finds her strength in helping save it. And Liam is a perfect book boyfriend!
I really enjoyed this story. Liam is the relaxed resort owner who wants to protect the island. Elena is the architect sent to design the new eco spa but finds the island, and Liam, very hard to resist. This is an entertaining page-turner.

This was such a cute story about Elena and Liam. I fell in love with the beach setting. I giggled when she landed in the landscaping and right into him. It was fun seeing them enjoy life in a casual and beautiful setting. These two were so much fun. Elena learning a whole new relaxing life. The way they connected was just so sweet and fun. This was such an enjoyable read.
