Fascinating early account of the post-Constantine era of ecclesiastical history. More personal and readable than the ecclesiastical history of Socrates Scholasticus. Perhaps that is due to what seems like a better quality of translation. However the final book of the history seems to be a fragment since it ends in an unusual place. Perhaps the remainder of the history will be discovered someday.
