I bought this book because I read Every Soul, which was a freebie on Amazon, and it ended in a cliffhanger. The reason I gave it only two stars is because I don't really feel it was worth it. Really, the book could have been (and should have been) tacked onto the end of Every Soul, and I probably would have given it one more star.
Arion really got on my nerves in this book, and part of it was because throughout most of the book, she did some sort of "smirk." Either she said she smirked, or Bain said she smirked, and in one chapter, she said she did her "signature smirk." Who has a signature smirk? Arion does, apparently.
The sex in this book was just too gratuitous, and became boring after awhile. I mean, I like a good steamy sex scene, but when it's described the same way and they do the same thing each and every time, I just skim through them.
I really don't understand all of the great reviews for this book, but maybe it's just not my cuppa tea. I really wish I could have my $3 back.
OMG! This story was amazing. I am so glad it turned out the way it did. I loved the characters in this story. They went through a lot of pain and regret to get to where they belonged. There were a few twists and turns that kept me guessing on which way the story would go. Really kept me hooked in the story.
Bain and Arion love each other deeply. But with the return of her "dead" fiancée, Arion starts to question everything she knows. She decides that she needs some space to determine where her future lies. When there is an unfortunate event, Arion is face to face with Nate before she was ready. She knows she still loves him, but it is not the same. She doesn't feel the same passion and pull that she feels for Bain. She realizes that she was where she was supposed to be all the time, and that was with Bain. She knows he is her happily ever after.
Can't wait to see where Nate's story will take him.
I think I pretty much summed up how I felt about this in my review for book #1. I don't know why I put myself through reads like these, I love them but even though I'm happy at the end for one reason, there's alway's the other one that kills me! IF YOU READ EVERY SOUL & EVERY HEART, YOU WILL. NOT. BE. SORRY!
Once again I am left feeling like I can't find the words to leave a review worthy of how I feel !!
Bain and Arion were living the good life. Back in the game , an NBA star , Arion working as his manager with James and living in the city they love. It was almost too perfect , which is why LK tortured us at the end of book 1 with Nate's return. Sorry , not really a spoiler if you have read book 1 or any other reviews !! So now we start right where we left off and all heck is about to break lose. Arion's reaction to Nate is spot on , I mean seriously I would probably react like that as well. When the one thing you hoped for month after month now happens when you finally picked yourself up and moved on , what the heck do you do. Well , have an anxiety attack , pass out and have a breakdown !! This pain and struggle is so real. We again have 3 POV's but no more Kinsey , we now have Nate. Brace yourself because it gets a little scary here.
Nate is struggling with losing Arion and his leg. He is still recovering and all he wanted was his girl to be there with him. Well surprise surprise she has happily moved on and now cannot handle the fact he is home. Arion has no clue what to do , she loves them both , she wants to be happy Nate is home but cannot imagine being without Bain. Wow what a tangled web we weave. Bain is heartbroken. He has no clue what to do but let me just say he is an absolute gentleman , the things he says the love he shows. I understand why she needed the time. I would never be able to say no to Bain and it wouldn't be fair to not give Nate a chance to talk and plead his love. The fact that Arion was a wild card to begin with had me all nervous about what her choice would be. Throw in the drama with Zeus and Nate's mom and you had the makings of that edge of your seat who will choose scenario. Arion and Bain have invested so much into their relationship in a short period of time. Do they have what it takes ? Will Arion be too late for Bain , his demons are coming for him and he has no strength left to fight. Bain and Arion really are a beautiful couple , great love story and I just cannot get enough of them and their love and their HOTNESS !
After Arion makes her choices and the story takes a turn it almost becomes 2 separate books. Nate is not finding it easy to move on but with the help of a friend he is able to join in a business venture that may be the one positive thing he has going. I think I wanted him to fight more , cause drama , make himself a fixture in Bain and Arion's life. Don't get me wrong I love how it all played out and ended for Arion and Bain but I felt Nate was kind of just blah. I am not sure where I wanted Nate's POV to take us and I am not sure it was even needed some of the time but I did make a connection with him when he first came home and being invested in his family made this cliffy heartbreaking. I hope there is an HEA in there for Nate. He really does deserve one. I am just wondering what this cliffy means for Nate and Arion ??
EVERY HEART is a heart-wrenching love story that brought me to my knees. This is a story of hope, love, perseverance, and sacrifice. It's about making the tough decisions and following your heart. It's about trying to live your life to the fullest no matter what fate throws at you. This book flooded me with emotions just like I knew it would, leaving me in a state of bliss and contentment.
Would you choose something safe, something familiar, or would you choose something more intense, passionate, and unpredictable? You may think this is an easy decision to make, but when your heart is on the line, nothing could be further from the truth.
EVERY HEART is the touching and emotional sequel to one of my favorite books of 2014, EVERY SOUL, where we first met Bain and Arion, who began their journey to one another. These two have been through HELL and back. They are each other's life line, their anchor, their other half. Well, as they say, 'if one door closes, another one opens,' and what's on the other side of that door throws a wrench in Bain and Arion's happily ever after. The past and present collide in the heart wrenching continuation of their story. Happiness, contentment, and bliss turns into fear, indecision, and pain. Walls that took so long to break down, slowly rebuild as the situation changes, leaving everyone in a state of pain, loss, and regret. One decision could change everything. Either way EVERY HEART involved will take a hit, and someone's will be broken completely.
EVERY HEART took a toll on MY heart, taking me on quite an emotional roller coaster ride. There were parts that gutted me, parts that made me laugh, and TONS of parts that made me cry. At the end, a weight was lifted, and these characters I fell in love with at the very beginning, carved a permanent place in my heart.
After the whopper of a cliffhanger that we were left with in Every Soul, I couldn’t wait to see where these characters were going to end up.
Life has certainly decided to put a damper on Arion and Bain’s relationship and thrown them a curveball. Just when things were getting intense for them and their love appeared to be unshakeable, a blast from the past comes crashing on their doorstep and turns everything upside down. Bain and Arion go on a whirlwind of emotions as Nate suddenly appears and we learn that he was being held captive while everyone thought he was dead. Obviously, he has returned for Arion and this makes for one hell of a love triangle.
We see a very vulnerable side to Bain as he’s trying to come to grips with the situation. Not knowing which way Arion will be swayed, he is going crazy with worry and makes sure she knows how much he loves her. Nate is also trying to make her see his love and Arion is left with her mind in shambles while trying to figure out what it is her heart really wants. Nate is going through so much and I wanted him to find happiness and peace, but I really hated to see Bain suffer.
Arion and Bain.
Arion and Nate.
Nate was Arion’s first true love…her soulmate. Bain is her SOUL. Which one is her FUTURE?
I loved that LK gave us very emotional moments with these characters and showed us how much they meant to each other. I also loved that Kinsey’s story was not left unfinished. The way Bain was at the courthouse, and the speech he gave, sure had me covered in goose bumps.
This heart-wrenching story of love, hope, and sacrifice will have you pulling out your hair in anxiety as you wait to learn about Arion’s decision. Who does she choose in the end? Is it the correct choice? Seeing her go through all that turmoil proved how difficult this decision was for her. How much she suffered knowing that no matter who she decided to give her life to, in the end, she would be causing suffering to someone else. I was extremely happy with the outcome and know that a HEA for the unchosen one has to come next.
Read for ByoB This is the follow-up to Every Soul and if you haven't read that one...STOP and go back!
At the end of Every Soul, Arion is met with the impossible. There is no way that her life was ever supposed to have the choice she in now facing. Her first love was never supposed to come back. To say that story was heartbreaking is an understatement. Everyone's heart was on the line and you could feel their pain come off the pages.
Arion and Bain have come a long way since Every Soul but this one thing has the potential to tear them apart. Bain grew on me through Every Soul, he was so lost and finally he has purpose. But he doesn't know if he has purpose without Arion. When he finally gets to a good place, his life goes up in flames. He doesn't do well with the news and I guess I was a little disappointed in how he deals.
Then we have Nate, whose soul and will are broken. He lost everything by the time he came, especially the one thing that kept him going. He does slowly get to a better place and then the end of the book has the potential to turn all of his work upside-down again. I am truly interested about what is going to happen to him later on.
Then there is Arion, who decided she was going to live again, to find out if she had just waited a little bit longer she wouldn't be where she was. She is crushed by guilt and a bunch of "what ifs." While she is the one with the biggest decision, she handles herself the best and in fact I found myself proud of her.
My heart hurt for everyone involved though. How do you choose one love from another? How can you heal when what you lived for is gone? How do you not lose yourself when your heart is ripped out? I do have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the way the book ended up. While there is a definite direction for the next book, this one leaves you satisfied (for now). There was heat, turmoil, tears and laughter, along with the burning desire to read this all in one sitting.
This book was fantastic! I've been dying for it since I read Every Soul. This book was a little emotional for me. I'm blown away how LK brought out so many emotions in Bain, Arion, and Nate.
The book picks up right where Every Soul ended. Nate is back and Arion standing in the hallway of her and Bains's condo. Nate really made me fall for him. He has gone thru so much. I wanted to grab him and hug him. I was angry when he came back in Every Soul BUT now I totally love that he's back. Even with everything that he has gone thru, I hated to see him and Arion get back together. They had their time together and you realize how much of a connection these two have with each other. Even after he was "dead."
Onto my man, Bain. He certainly did not disappoint. I will have to say I fell a little bit more in love with him. He's just OMG! He truly loves Arion and as much as it hurts him, he knows that he has to let Arion figure out who holds the key to her heart. He reminds her by texts, when they aren't together.
I'm glad we got to see what happened with the trial of his twin, Kinsley's, murderer.
We got a glimpse of what Nate went thru when he was "dead." He truly is a survivor. He knows what he needs to do to continue on in any situation he is in.
Arion gosh how she has a hard decision. Does she chose the one that she has a connection with that was the love of her life? Or does she chose the man that has taught her that life goes on and your are blessed to find love again?
Bravo to LK Collins. I truly love this book and can not wait to see what happens in the next book!

4 Stars !!!
I was looking forward to continuing Bain and Arion's story. The ending of Every Soul leaves you with a cliff hanger. I was dying to know what was going to happen. I'm going to try to write this review as best as I can without giving anything away.
I just want to start by saying...I did enjoy this series. I have a feeling there's going to be additional stories considering the way things ended in this book. Which, again, is somewhat of a cliff hanger. As for the continuation of book 1, book 2 started right where Every Soul leaves you. I was surprised with the turn of events that takes place. It gives you the feeling of not knowing how it's going to work out. There are two ways it can go, so it does keep you at the edge of your seat. With that being said, I hoped that a particular part in the story had more volume then what was presented. I felt that it could have been used to make the story a little more emotional. Throughout the story, I just felt like I needed a little more. I guess I wanted things to be more difficult when it came to the characters' choices.
I did like that Every Heart also continued with information regarding Bain's sister. When Bain gave his speech I was balling. The pain he had to go through, and the difficulty of having to talk about it, was heartbreaking. I'm really glad that it all worked out. I'm also interested in seeing where the series will go from here. I'm pretty sure I know which character it will be about, so I'm really hoping that they get their happily ever after. All in all, it was a good story.

Well not a love triangle, sort of I had my doubts and worries but I think LK did a great job telling Nate, Bain and Arion's point of views, now I just paid mainly attention to Bain and Arion as I know there is going to be another book and this time it will be Nate's which means I'll focus on him next time. Bain is actually more vulnerable in this book he's not sure which way Arion is going to go and it's killing him, "of course I did. I lost my effing mind without you." I really loved the closeness Arion and Bain had, "she walks back in with a water for James and sits next to me. So close that she is practically on my lap." As the story goes on you see Bain's confidence come back not that the boy ever really lost it but the situation was taking a toll on him so when he was back to his old self I was excited and happy, "well, you should have told Carl to get a limo so I could have effed you." Now that I feel Bain and Arion got what they deserved I can totally focus on Nate and his many, many issues in the next book.
Gahhhh… my heart just couldn’t take this book! There was so much FEELS and it was just so intense!! I cried throughout this book. Life can be so unfair sometimes and this book shows it perfectly!
This was a hard book… I’m trying to figure out how to review it without giving away key parts. It’s difficult. I can tell you, this book will pull your heart strings. I really thought Arion was super grown up in this book and for as much heattache as she’s went through… she was strong.
However, Bain is just an awesome guy that you want to route for him. But… you also want to route for something else (haha very mysterious). It’s a book that you just don’t know which way to go or what to decide. You might just find yourself stamping your feet about how unfair life is!!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.
This book was everything I expected it to be with that cliffhanger at the end of book one. A complete shock, Nate's alive. Oh my gosh!!! Now what, Arion has the worst decision ever. I cried several times for both Nate and Bain. Two amazing men in love with the same woman. Wow this has to be terrible for all three of them. Bain and the trial for his twin sister and Nate just getting after being a POW with part of his leg missing. I want nothing but love for him. Onto my man, Bain. He certainly did not disappoint. I will have to say I fell a little bit more in love with him. He's just OMG! He truly loves Arion and as much as it hurts him, he knows that he has to let Arion figure out who holds the key to her heart. And Nate is in so much pain. I couldn't help but hurt with him. This is an AWESOME read. I got my HEA!!!!!
I received an arc of this book. Let's just say I have been beyond antsy to get my hands on this book. I needed answers after that ending in Every Soul and I needed them BAD!!! I don't want to say anything about the story to give away what happens. All I can say was that I loved the story and got my answers and then some extra sweetness for the happy couple. There was lots of hotness throughout the story too. I have a feeling that the man left alone will find his happiness too and I can't wait to hear about it.
Wow! Going into Every Heart I was #TeamBain but I do have to say Nate made his way into my heart as well. So many times I wanted to skip forward to find out who Arion picked. I am so happy I didn't. Every Heart Is angsty and emotional as well as absolutely perfect. Loved getting Arion, Bain, and Nate's POV. Can't wait for for the unchosen ones story.
This book is everything I was waiting for and more! Nate is alive! That's the ending of the last book/beginning of this book. Arion reacted appropriately! Shocked is an understatement! How do you choose between the man you promised forever that you thought was dead and the man who makes your body burn?!? Its a beautifully written book with a great story!
Love love love love love. These books have left a major imprint on my soul. Read them once and couldn't stop thinking about them. Reread them and fell more in love with them. I <3 Bain.
Hope you read book one first cause just wow didn't see that coming at all. Now this book has the perfect love triangle between Bain Arion and Nate O did I feel for Nate through this book and poor Arion that was the shock of her life now in this book she has a huge choice to make. I think she made a good one read to find out which love she chose you will not be disappointed :)
Such a good book! We left on a huge cliffhanger in the last story. Arion was finally happy and completely in love with Bain when her first love Nate reappeared after being reported killed in action. Arion has a huge decision to make. Where does her heart lie? Her first love of the one she has now? Such a beautiful journey.
I LOVED Every Soul but Every Heart... it broke me! A book that can evoke emotions like that from me is far better than any book that can't. I don't cry easily but I felt the emotions in this book. The cliff hanger in Every Soul left me reeling... I HATE CLIFFERS!! Cliff Hangers are THE WORSE!! If I know a book has a cliff hanger I will not read it until book two is released. Anyway back on topic. We all know THAT cliff hanger Every Soul left us with.... Yes Nate is alive! ALIVE not
dead like his family & Arion were told Hell they buried him.... How can he be alive? What will Arion do? She has just learnt to love again, and given her heart to another man. Arion has a huge choice infront of her & its going to be the hardest choice she has ever had to make.
Arion is happy and in love with Bain. Sexy NBA star & all round good guy. He has experienced loss the same as what Arion has when his twin Sister's life was taken from her by a sick a twisted man, who set her death up to look as if she had committed suicide. Bain make Arion feel. She feels alive when she is with Bain, she has never felt a passion like what she feels when Bain looks at her or touches her but her heart has always been with Nate.
Arion will always be Nate first love. She was what kept him alive when he was held captive by the enemy he was meant to be protecting his country from. Knowing one day he would be coming home to his girl, that kept him alive, that kept him fighting. Only to get home & realize she actually is not your girl any longer must be completely heart shattering. I can't even begin to imagine the pain Nate went through when he realized the girl he had fought for was with another man, and no less than in love with him. He can tell by the way they looks at each other that he loves Arion as much as he loved her.

First of all, I love LK Collins. Since her debut novel Fatalism, I’ve been completely immersed in her words. The characters just amaze me and always leave me wanting more. The stories she weaves will give you an absolute tailspin in love, misery, happiness, and triumph. Not only is LK an excellent writer, but she interacts with her readers on a personal level. What more could you possibly ask for in an author!?
Every Love killed me. I was so torn between Bain and Nate that I couldn’t decide what I wanted Arion to do. I wanted her to be with each of them in their perspective ways. The raw emotions come from the characters is simply flawless on every level. I don’t know how many times I cried while reading this, or wanted to throw something in anger over the absurd choices that had to be made, but I couldn’t love this story more.
After the cliff hanger in Every Soul, you just don’t know what will happen. This was the perfect follow up. Not only do you get to meet Nate, but you get to see a new side of Bain that you thought you’d never see. There is this way that LK evokes you as the reader to be involved with this story is simply astonishing. If there was a scale from One to Even, I can’t. Honestly, I mean I can’t even create a coherent sentence I’m so tore up over this book.
In the end, a decision has to be made, but how does one make that choice? I don’t think I’d ever want to be in the situation that Arion has herself in. Past and Current loves… it’s just unimaginable! The heart-wrenching pain that each of these characters go through in this novel is insufferable. This novel will leave you cradling your knees while crying asking why?!, several times while reading it. I simply can’t say enough about this novel, you really just need to read this series, right now. LK will leave you speechless on so many occasions, I promise you. I’m always rendered speechless at the end of her novels, and find it so hard to write a review because honestly nothing I say will ever be good enough to compare to the level of love I have for this woman’s words.
