I wanted to relate to this book so badly being 25. I couldn’t get into it. It felt like a series of iPhone notes that you write down high at 2 in the morning. Only to read them the next night high (again) and think they are profound. The blank page every other page in an attempt to make it longer but then having random clippings on some of them was bizarre. I read this in 20 minutes cover to cover. I can’t say I personally took anything away from it other than I can’t believe the money I spent on it when there are used classics for sale half the price.

Most of the poems in this book didn't resonate with me or just seemed surface level. There were a few redeeming poems that I related to A LOT that captured what growing up and entering adulthood feels like. I liked that the poems were specifically based upon your 20's coming from a gal in her 20's. It made me feel less alone on some of my thoughts/feelings I've been having lately.
