Spoil: A BDSM Club, Surprise Baby Romance

Rate this book
She was the one who got away. Now she’s back—with his daughter. And if he can't convince her to choose herself, he might lose them both forever.

Five years ago, Daniel lived for adrenaline and rebellion—skiing by day, partying by night, and dodging his wealthy family’s expectations. But nothing shook him like Penelope, the shy, funny woman who stole his heart during one unforgettable day on the slopes. One night in his arms, and she vanished without a trace.

Now, Daniel’s the CFO of an elite members-only club in DC. He gave up the wild life—but not the memory of the girl he couldn’t forget. When she shows up late one night to retrieve a forgotten phone, he's stunned to see... her. And a four-year-old girl who looks just like him.

Penelope’s world is nothing like his. Living under the thumb of a bitter stepmother and two manipulative stepsisters, she’s drowning in obligation and too kind to break free. Daniel is determined to protect her. To show her what real love feels like. To give their daughter the life she deserves.

But if he can’t get Penelope to believe she’s worth fighting for, he might lose the love of his life and the only family he’s ever truly wanted.

Is a deathbed promise worth sacrificing your entire future—your happiness, your dreams, the man you love? That’s the question at the heart of this story. Penelope (Nell) vowed to keep her family together, but her stepmother and stepsisters treat her like a live-in maid. Yes, the Cinderella parallels are obvious, but what truly got under my skin is that Nell isn’t trapped in a fairytale. She’s trapped by loyalty. While she’s scrubbing floors, cooking and cleaning, her “sisters” are sleeping in and flitting off to galas, while her “mother” lounges in bed. And still, she stubbornly clings to her promise, refusing to abandon the three women who treat her like dirt… even when the father of her child walks back into her life offering her everything she’s ever wanted. I admired Nell’s integrity, I really did, but I wanted to shake her every time she let those women steamroll her with their entitlement and bad behavior. Thankfully, their nastiness only serves to make Daniel shine even brighter. One unforgettable night five years earlier had etched Nell permanently onto his heart, and he never stopped searching for her. Learning he had a daughter doesn’t scare him—it delights him and he can’t wait to make both his girls part of his life forever. I adored that Nell never hid Daniel’s existence from her little girl, and that she kept a journal of all her daughter’s milestones to one day give to him. It’s such a tender detail. And Daniel? He’s the definition of “all in.” Every action he takes screams commitment, right down to opening a club in D.C. because that’s where Nell said she lived, long before he found her. But it’s also in the way he treated Nell and his daughter, Danny, as if they’re the two most precious people in the world. *Sigh* I also loved watching Nell find her place among Daniel’s circle of friends. They become the family she deserved: supportive, protective, and genuinely loving. For those nervous about the BDSM element, don’t be. It’s extremely light, and Daniel is a pleasure Dom, making this a perfect, gentle introduction to the genre without feeling overwhelmed. In the end, this is a sweet and satisfying second-chance romance that proves sometimes you have to put yourself first to finally claim your happily ever after.

Spoil by Christina Sterling is the second book of The White Envelope series. Penelope and Daniel's story is a second chance, cinderella style romance. Daniel lived a single bachelor style life skiing by day and parting at night. When he met Penelope five years ago he was blown away. She was shy, funny and unforgettable. They had one night together and she was gone. Now he is the CFO of a members only club in DC when he sees her again when she was retrieving a forgotten phone. With he is a four year old girl who looks just like him. I really enjoyed reading their story. I found it hard to put down once I started reading it.

A surprisingly sweet romance loosely based off Cinderella. Our main characters (Daniel and Penelope) have a great meet cute, spend time together, and lose each other the following day. They find each other years later (by accident) and must learn to trust each other to overcome obstacles. The characters are beautifully written, and the storyline moves at a good pace. It touches lightly on BDSM and has a HEA. Great read!.

I love how the story flows and how the plot thickens to more excitement. I love how it was fast pace and quick to the main point of the whole book. It was hot and steaming for my liking. I can relate to how Penelope family situation was similar to mines but different. In my love life I wish to meet someone like Daniel. I love how Daniel had a surprise baby and that he would do anything for his girls and provide for them at all cost.

Spoil is the 2nd book in The White Envelope series, but can easily be read as a standalone. It's a rather sweet, Cinderella-like romance and I absolutely adored Daniel. He's just the sweetest hero! There's plenty of spice, emotional baggage, a cute 4-going-on-14-year-old girl, good friends as well as a wicked stepmother and stepsisters. The HEA also is befitting of a fairytale! I received an early copy and am leaving this review voluntarily and honestly.

This story absolutely gives off Cinderella vibes complete with the evil stepmother and stepsisters. I love how he steps up and shows her that she is worth fighting for and how much they belong together as a family. Well this is a second book in a series it can absolutely be read as a standalone. I hope you give this story a chance and that you enjoy it as much as I did.

fantastic!

Loved everything about this book! Honestly there isn’t a lot of BDSM in it at all - and what there is, is very tame. There’s spice but tasteful. Penelope (Nell) has some things to work thru with her family. Daniel will do anything for her. I will put this on my shelf to read again! (And I cannot wait for the next book!!!)

Electric Sparks 🔥

Spoil is a love story for the ages… Daniel's passion for Penelope is fire 🔥, and their reconnection is everything. Sweet, sexy, and full of heart - with a possessive hero who'll do anything for his girl 💖. 🤓
