Quick fluffy novella ft. ultimate green flag MMC with a protective streak! 💚
It didn’t reinvent the wheel but it was a cozy SAFE read ✨ I really enjoyed Rhodes’s character and how accommodating he was to all Quinn’s fears.

finally got to finishing the series
cute, safe, dual virgins, VERY insta love
this had a little more plot and drama than the first 2 books even if it was only a couple chapters
book 2 is still my favorite lol
I like both Characters in this book, both likeable and cute too .
The only thing I'm going to complain about is Quinn living out of her van because she doesn't have the money to pay rent because she's already renting a shop for her cat grooming business, but if sleeping in her van is so unsafe and stresses her out especially with a psycho stalking her, then why doesn't she just sleep at her shop ? it's safer and she can lock it.

Rhodes and Quinn, two truly lovely people. He takes such good care of her once he understands the stress she is under. She to is one strong woman who knows what she wants. A creep from her past comes on to the scene and he is dealt with quite promptly. A swoon worthy ending

I read this when it came out but did not write a review. This review will be quite general as the story is no longer fresh in my mind but I will refer back to the book to jog my memory. It will have some SPOILERS so I can remember it in future.
I did enjoy it very much because it is DV! *obligatory booty shake and happy dance!*

I remember this one, now that I skimmed through it. Quinn is a cat groomer and Rhodes is a gentle giant who works near her place of business. She sleeps in her van with a giant cat by the name of Boss. I love animals, so Boss being a character of his own in this story was delightful. Our hero watches over her to keep her safe because she is scared, apprehensive and he believes she is hiding. He is right. She is hiding from a man tracking her down. Ahem....nothing to do at all with him being obsessed with her and a tad stalkerish *smirk* I love my obsessed heroes and Rhodes is obsessed, possessive, but knows that she is skittish so he careful not to frighten her and is determined to find the source of her worries and eliminate whatever or whomever is threatening her.
This is what she is running from; this journalist started following her a while back bumping into her and so she felt obliged to go on a few dates with him. She was not interested and since this unwanted OM who she calls her ex (I did not like that) was rejected by her, he did not take that well, so he is on the hunt for her after she moved to be away from him. She reveals all this to Rhodes. This was in the past and explains why she moved to a small town. Rhodes already deems her his so his mission is serious and Quinn, although apprehensive at first, warms up to her handsome protector. As for Rhodes past, he was a runt and at fifteen years old started to grow into a giant, so all the girls that once shunned him started to show interest, but he became jaded so he decided not to date, until he meets Quinn.

him that. We’d gone on a handful of dates, but several were forced. He
would show up and present it as if we just happened to cross paths. I began
to quickly realize that it was complete bullshit.
"So we both haven't dated much?"

Us being on the same level puts me at ease. I'm not sure what’s
happening between Rhodes and me, but it's nice to know I don't have to be
awkward and out of my comfort zone alone.

He convinces her to move in with him, and of course takes care of the threat that looms over her. No one lays a hand on his woman, and what better protector than a gentle giant that is wrapped around her pinky. In the interim, they share meals, talk, spend time together (sexy times as well *wink*) and these two seem made for each other. Their romance felt natural, and it was really cute that he listens to the same podcast as her does in order to have stuff to talk about. The story is mainly them getting to know each other and for him to be able to protect her from Simon who is in town. Her tires are slashed so they know that this relentless guy is close.
I liked the side characters that cheered Rhodes on with his quest to get his girl. Macy who works for Rhodes, is his biggest cheerleader and I love that she and her wife Hannah are rooting for him. Macy is a hoot and a loyal friend to Rhodes. Boss the cat is one feisty feline taking charge side by side with Rhodes to stop the obsessed unwanted OM who found Quinn. No one can stop a man like Rhodes, especially since his love for Quinn makes him deadly. Boss's sharp claws and fangs are deadly too and this feline is just as protective of his human companion! The threat is stopped, Rhodes and Boss protected Quinn, and all breath a sigh of relief.
One thing I did not like, and it irked me is when he says this in his inner monologue during their first time having sex,

I know it could be that he has seen breasts before, but I hate comparisons like that of any kind. It is just personal preference for me; it makes me scrunch my nose in displeasure. That is my only complaint.
I will say that this is the best series I think AR has done in recent memory! I know that she wrote a bunch of DV (dual vcard couples) in the past, but I am glad that now she is giving us a whole series with virgin heroes coupled with virgin heroines. Reading this series brought a smile to my face, and I can see myself getting cozy in my reading nook ready for an "Alexa Riley Sofa King Series Reading Day" accompanied by a cup of tea plus dessert of course! That sounds heavenly already!
I recommend all three books since they are all DV, two of them having my favorite type of hero, the innocent, sweet, gentle giant. I hope Alexa Riley sticks to writing DV couples; we crave them in the romance world.

Out of all the three books I've read in this series, this is by far my favorite. I guess it's probably because of Rhodes. He does his best to look out for Quinn without being too much of a bulldozer. He always asks her opinion and never acts like he knows more than she does. Also, consent—gotta love a consent king! I think, atm, I'm just not in the mood for men who just take what they want. And yes, although the women might be okay with it, it's still feels different when the men actually ask them what they want.
I really like Quinn because she's so open to accepting help. Sometimes I just can't get why FMCs would turn down good assistance just because they want to be stubborn. But I'm just really glad she's not like that.
This is a novella, so everything that happened in between moves pretty quickly. And it seems like they’ve known each other for a bit since it was mentioned that Quinn moved to this town not too long ago.
There was some suspense added to the situation by Quinn's ex. But in the end, Rhodes took care of it.

If the duo behind Alexa Riley reads these reviews. I would have to ask for more series/books like this one. I really enjoy when y'all write about virgin heros. I would love more of them or put them all in one series like this one. Though I'm not sure if the last one would count as DV. There was a time when I would read anything Alexa Riley but everytime the heroine was a virgin and the hero was experienced/very experienced. **Eye roll** After a while I stopped enjoying them. But I loved this series and would buy 20 more similar to it if I could. I'm still a fan and will continue to read more of y'all's books but I just want more series like this.

With this one over, I confirm that the best and most decent one was the second, and it was also the least disturbing. Here, thank God, they toned down the number of references to getting pregnant and having babies. As for this one, it was the most implausible and the one with the wildest plot involving a stalker, and that made me dislike it as much. I liked the aspects of the cats and the fact that they're both willing to give themselves completely to each other, and that's it. Everything else is cringeworthy.

Reading AR is really a crapshoot, it can be sofa king good or a complete disaster. This one wasn’t bad. Loved the characters, full story and a decent amount of sex. The major problem was that they jumped straight into them being a couple with zero build up. They don’t show any lead up to them basically moving in together. We don’t hear how they first met, or experience them becoming friends or getting to know each other it’s just bang they’re together. *trigger warning-there is some touchy stuff in this one in regards to domestic violence and if you’re anti-gun this would not be for you*

Ambos protagonistas son un sol, Rhodes es el hombre más tierno! (aquí todos los protagonistas masculinos de esta serie tienen mi corazón) y Quinn es la chica más tierna! además de Boss por supuesto.
la historia es una cosa tierna, con un poco de suspenso, con mucho spicy del lindo y un final feliz para todos.

Ok ok as always this books help me to get out of the book slump, short, cute and 🌶️ , the FMC is running because a stalker and the MMC rescue her, in more ways that she imagined, is a kidnapping in the plot but if you know these authors you don’t have to be worried about it.
