I'm back in Millbrook Texas for one summer—helping Dad with his veterinary clinic while taking a break from grad school. What I didn't expect was spending my days elbow-deep in horse rehabilitation with the same arrogant bull rider who humiliated me at the county fair seven years ago. Tucker Conway is still infuriatingly hot, still rides bulls like he has a death wish, and still thinks his charming smile can get him out of anything. Now he's Dad's most important client, and I'm the only one qualified to oversee his high-profile animal rehab program. We're stuck working together all summer in a barn full of sweat, sparks, and sexual tension thick enough to cut with a scalpel. I should keep things professional. I should definitely not be thinking about what those calloused hands would feel like on my bare skin. Instead, I'm falling for the last man I should want.
A good story but for me it felt too tame, I didn’t feel the connection in the main characters and it wasn’t realistic in any way. Several instances it was a bit out of timeline eg Breaking ground on anew barn in a week but in same paragraph looked out the window to them breaking ground. Saying they used an old nickname but it wasn’t used!!! So inconsistent. Don’t think I’d read again.
