Oh yeah, this guy. No no no, he's...what was I thinking? I wasn't. I was losing my mind from being sheltered in place in a less-than-ideal situation and thought this would be a diversion or amusement but it's neither.
It's garbage.
He's poorly drawn and not at all gifted.
Even in The Time of Corona, pass. He's in a landfill somewhere already because that's where that clumsy idiot belongs. 🤣🤣🤣

Just for the bawdy jokes, this comic is a must read. Never disgusting and always funny.
Plus the social message is subtle. Which is weird because the pictures are completely based on it. Yet the message doesn't jump it out at you. It just settles down in the mind.

Well, hopefully, by the title you know this is not for children. But in case not. This is not for children. It is a laugh out loud feminist delight of a graphic novel that advocates female pleasure and shows women in power supported by a man who focuses on their pleasure. It shows women leaving relationships with men who don’t support their needs in bed or out and shows women sexually enjoying themselves at different ages, races, and stages of life. I could not love this more.

Super silly and fun. A young kid comes in contact with a radioactive lollipop and gains the power to bestow "enlightened orgasms" on sexually frustrated women everywhere. What follows is an account of his adventures bringing women pleasure, which can motivate them to save themselves from negative situations of all kinds. There's an issue with consent here, but it didn't sour my experience of the book. What I did dislike was the lack of coherent plot and the ending- I wanted Lick-It Man to reveal his secret identity to the main female character.

Anyway it's, light, a bit dirty, and enjoyable.

So I found this book on kindle unlimited and thought it looked humorous. I've got a twisted sense of humor so anything along these lines I just can't resist. it's a quick read at only 66 pages (but it is a comic after all...so it felt more like 40 lol), the graphics are pretty awesome and the idea of a superhero having THAT power is just funny for a female reader, it leaves you thinking "if only" haha.

I guess I read this for ...... science?

It's a fun concept - a superhero whose objective is to help "women cum first" - and there are some interesting ideas and good things going for it, like how Lick-It Man does not discriminate based on age or race, how mediocre men are insecure about feminism and successful women, and jokes and snide remarks that land well.

BUT - and that's a big butt.....I mean, but

The concept of 'consent' is entirely missing here. Lick-it Man does his job without asking for permission - What if I don't like men? What if I don't enjoy what you do? What if I hate your ridiculous outfit? WHAT IF I DON'T WANT IT?
If only Lick-It Man started everything with a 'May I?', he would have been one of the greatest, if not the most useful, fictional superheroes of our time.

3.5 Stars.

Bawdy jokes abound in this feminist comic. Lick-it Man has been transformed by a radioactive lollipop that gives him the power to give women “enlightened orgasms” - their life is always better after it. Never asking for anything in return, he visits women in peril trying to juggle a career, family, and all other obligations that are completely overwhelmed.

A cute read, and illustrated by an illustrator for DC comics, so the illustrations were fantastic!

A quick, funny, adult themed read.

A Comic Book for Ladies.

Lick-it Man, written by a women to be appreciated by women, is a guy dressed like Batman who, clumsily at times, helps out stressed women. Either by helping get a bad guy or, as in the case of a lady President of the USA, puts her in a more conciliatory mood to deal with a phone call that leads to world peace. His secret power, a muscular tongue and advanced skills in cunnilingus.

This comic maybe isn’t for all ladies, only those with a knowing sense.....of humor. Enjoy!

Not the hero that every woman needs, but what every woman deserves.

Lick-it Man is written by a women, to be appreciated by women. However, this comic maybe isn’t for all the ladies, and only those with a knowing sense of humor, an openness towards sex and a more liberal idea of feminism, may find it in their capacity to appreciate the effort and concept by Camille Carida.

If the title and the cover art aren't enough to clarify what the story is about, lets say we have a new superhero in town and this time its a guy dressed like Batman who gains the power to bestow women with "enlightened orgasms", and their life is always better after it. Never asking for anything in return, he visits women in peril (he knows they are in peril because his chakra energy tingles) trying to juggle a career, family, and all other obligations that are completely overwhelmed. What follows is an account of his adventures bringing women pleasure, which can motivate them to save themselves from negative situations of all kinds and do anything they desire: make important medical discoveries, uncover illegal behavior or deal with three hyperactive kids. Even when it comes to the Lady President of the USA (who is a Hillary Clinton look-alike), he puts her in a more conciliatory mood to deal with - a phone call leads to world peace. His secret power is a muscular tongue and advanced skills in cunnilingus.

Taking inspiration from Spiderman, with the radioactive lollipop as a kid, from Batman, getting trained in his teenage years from his mom in feminism, and from Iron Man, getting his Chakra stone implanted that balance out all his Chakras, and many popular superhero movie scenes, Carida brings together the old trope of superheroes, with a new spicy adult twist, and it paid off. The concept is absolutely wonderful, very imaginative and ensures the book had its own personality.

The comic is sexual as suggested by the theme and the cover art, but its not dirty-sexual. In fact there is no actual nude scene or depicted sex scene in the entire comic. I've seen much more nudity in acclaimed comics like Watchmen or Saga. There are only references and indications to sex through the art, dialogue and the story, but never visually depicted per se. It's present in a classy way, and never gets disgusting. Besides Women's Sexual Needs and Women's Pleasure, Feminism and Women Empowerment also run throughout the comic as its main theme, although some might argue with me, and I present my points on that later on in the review.

This comic deserves a read for its super silliness, puny jokes, bawdy humor and, a very imaginative development and thinking on the part of the writer. The imagination of the writer is commendable, from the overall concept and the theme to the small elements like Chakra Stone that opens all the chakra and enhances his energy, from the close relationship with his teacher (The Pink Hood) who teaches him feminism, yoga and sewing, to the entrance to the Secret Den of the Pink Hood which is located inside a statue of Susan B. Anthony. From the young trainer Lick-It man wearing pink panties like underwear, to the Pink Hood punching the Minute Man (a villain) in his balls. The real detail is in the small things.

I think the word play is the best and a laugh riot. The comic starts with the line: At this time in history, women face the insurmountable duty of juggling all tasks…Career, Family and Lover…a 'cumming' challenge. The arch nemesis of The Lick-It Man is The Stick -It Man, and there's A Minute man and the Poker too! The nickname of the journalist, main female is BJ. The real name of The Pink Hood superhero is Klitty. Its just so creative.

The best part is Camille feature women of all ages, races, professions and stages of life and covers a wide gamut trying not to discriminate against anyone and showing that Lick-It man is for everyone.

I was a little worried that it would be sort of a feminist preach the whole way, but it is surprisingly normal. When it does bring up feminist talking points it uses them to develop the character of the world, rather than to send a message of activism. I think it is safe to call this a feminist delight of a graphic novel that advocates female pleasure and shows women in power supported by a man who focuses on their pleasure. I don't think I've read that many books, let alone graphic novels that focus on women's sexuality and pleasure as a priority. As the moto of Lick-It Man goes: A Lady should always come first! It shows women leaving relationships with men who don’t support their needs in bed or out and shows women sexually enjoying themselves.

The art was very much American comics. It's not the bad and has a retro tone to them. The colors are a bit on the darker side. But still the graphics were pretty and from an illustrator of DC comics, so he definitely gave it that classic superhero comic style.

As good as the graphic novel is, there are some things lacking also. There is definitely an issue with consent here, but being a graphic novel and understanding if we got into that much detail, Lick-It Man would come across as a creeper rather a hero, I chose to not wrap my head around it and let it be. Another thing lacking was that all the women are blatantly cis-women - who need sexual gratification from a male superhero. What about the lesbians or the trans?

Plus the social message is subtle. Which is weird because the pictures are completely based on it. Yet the message doesn't jump out at you. It just settles down in the mind.

One thing definitely I thought was poor, was that however much thought and detail was put into the Lick-It Man's character, the same was missing for the villain. It's kind of weak for a villain. He also has weak reason to be a villain: women are making the front page too often and they don't know their place anymore. For this reason he wants to subdue them again. Maybe I was expecting something a little more elaborate.

The story line though good and imaginative and funny, felt more like a list of bullet points for a future comic. It seemed very simple, jumped around incoherently, the character not much fleshed out and the back story too shallow to ensure room for the whole story. Maybe it should have been developed in a different way. Maybe something longer.

While people might argue that feminism is much more than that shown in this graphic novel and I completely agree, this book just grazes on the surface of feminism, it is the first book or rather comic to focus women's pleasure. It also does have it moments of women empowerment, like the first lady president, or women scientist finding cures. The moment where as a young kid Beaver (alias of Lick It Man) is told off by a strong girl.

How the pink hood teaches Beaver about feminism, sewing, yoga and trains him. Even the scene in the beginning where the mailman was going down on some woman, that woman chose that guy. She was shown very empowered and modern and not at all subdued or repressed. These and many more scenes are about women empowerment at the end.

If anyone believes that this is a classic "man-saves-woman" superhero, you've just made all the feminism and women empowerment this graphic novel did touched, an irony in itself. What one fails to see is that is not a man-saves-woman, but man-clears-obstacles-from-already-saved woman. As per my understanding, the women depicted in this book are not looking to be saved. They were in fact very much capable of achieving their goals and desires or on the path to. The female president of the USA didn't need the Lick-It Man's help to become the president. The scientist doing the research for cure didn't need the man. It wasn't that the mom won't be able to take care of her kids without the Lick-It Man's help. They were just tired, exhausted or suppressed, with some or the other obstacle coming in their way. In spiritual terms, there was a blockage of the flow of energy and with the enlightening orgasm, their chakras open up, and the obstacle is removed. As is said even today for any man or woman facing blocks in their life.

In short, I don't this book is anti-feminism or wronging it in anyway, instead it's on the path to open up women's sexuality and pleasure more popular, not make it a taboo topic so that it's more accepted, and so that men too can accept the fact about going down on women. It is one of the first feminist comics that feature women sexuality and should be in fact encouraged more, so better versions come out and more people are encouraged to let their stories come out. This can be the beginning of a new revolution.

Overall, a cute, good and quick read, especially for its creativity and imagination and the funny concept. This work is just the start, and I feel Carida can launch more parts and develop the characters more, and I really look forward to her work!

Okay so I was browsing Kindle Unlimited when I found this in the comics section and just had to have a look at what this was after reading the summary. In all honesty, I wasn't expecting anything of value, comedic or otherwise, but I was in for a wild wide. I think this may have had something to do with low expectations of the comic, or maybe the fact that I just didn't know what to expect from it when I first got it.

Lick-It Man is the story of Beaver, a young boy who licks a radioactive lollipop after having the shock of his life as a child, and is blessed with a superpower... of giving women orgasms, any woman, any time, if his chakra energy tingles, he's on the way to help.

I honestly choked up laughing reading this. Obviously (at least, in my opinion) this is a bit of a pisstake on superheroes, and a bit of comedy, and Carida does it amazingly. I don't think I've ever read a comic quicker, other than maybe when I read Batman: The Killing Joke .

Carida brings together the old trope of superheroes, with a new adult twist, and it paid off. This is absolutely wonderful. Highly recommended to older comic fans looking for a bit of a laugh. Definitely going to be looking into more of Carida's works!

Y'all, what is this? Imagine the cis-white feminist movement wrote a comic book, and you got this. It's supposedly "empowering" because evidently, according to this book, women - and all these women are blatantly cis women, so that's already horrible and exclusive - need male sexual gratification to be successful and change the world. And I never saw this "superhero" ask any of the women if he could go down on them???? He just went for it and they were all super pleased but like... I guess we can just throw consent out the window huh. And the stereotypical roles for women in this book... like Carida, please check yourself. What are you doing?

Oh, and the story made no sense. It just jumped around incoherently. It had the basic "man-saves-woman" superhero trope and I get this is satire or whatever, but it's not good satire. It's still super regressive and weird and just bad. Really bad. From the get-go I knew this was going to be chaotic but good lord.

I'm not against what the comic was going for, but it wasn't funny enough to be a parody and was nowhere near fleshed out enough to be halfway serious. Nor was it xxx enough to be a fun sexy comic.

All the characters were flat and boring, and the storyline felt more like a list of bullet points for a future comic. The art wasn't bad, a bit bland and cookie cutter for my tastes though.

Not something I'd recommend, but not bad enough to warrant warning others away. More meh then anything.

Je to přesně to, co si myslíte - superschopnost tohohle chlapíka je... "lízání" a.k.a. cunnilingus.

I hate reading comics on Ebooks...

I don't know how I found this short graphic novel. It probably popped up as a suggestion and I was curious about it. I read it on my laptop first but I really had to strain my eyes to read to minuscule writing on some of the panels. Then I tried to read it on my Kindle. That was even worse! So I guess my rating is kind of influenced by a bad reading experience.

Anyway. I really like the concept of the graphic novel: a superhero can help women around the city giving them a sort of enlightened orgasm. After that, they can do everything: make important medical discoveries, uncover illegal behavior or deal with three hyperactive kids. Even Hilary - or her look-a-like - decide not to wage war against a foreign country.

The villain... Well, it's kind of weak for a villain. He also has weak reason to be a villain: . Sigh! I was expecting something a little more elaborate.

The art is very American comics, it's not bad but it also very different from my usual kawaii style. Colors are a bit on the dark side.

Well, it's OK, I guess. Maybe it should have been developed in a different way. Maybe something longer.

Silly, but does it well.

It's a pretty good little story. I was drawn in by Joe's art, as I love his work on Spider-Man, but stayed because Camille managed to be just serious enough for a true story to develop.

It borrows from many popular superhero (movie) scenes, but manages to spice them up into its own. Camille did an excellent job on ensuring the book had its own personality.

I was a little worried that it would be sort of a feminist preach the whole way, but it is surprisingly normal. When it does bring up feminist talking points it uses them to develop the character of the world, rather than to send a message of activism.

It is very simple though. The characters aren't very fleshed out, the back story is shallow to ensure room for the whole story, and the "funny" dialogue is fairly annoying at points with how uncreative it is.

Definitely give it a quick read.

Meh

You know those preppy girls in college with the short coloured hair and big metal rimmed glasses with the nose piercings that are hot but you know they're just not suited for you? They're who this is for, I'm a guy who likes comics of all types, my favourite being either Nailbiter, Saga, Teeth or Sex Criminals and I thought this would have more substance or not be totally one dimensional. But really all it does is kinda push this agenda onto the reader that this one man is the only guy that will ever support a woman and help her achieve some kind of success because men as a whole don't do that. It would be fine if it was done in a clever way or was humorous but it wasn't and its not.

What a hero Lick -It Man is. Colourful caped crusader with a dextrous tongue that makes the ladies happy, emboldened, empowered, and the world a better place. My kind of hero.
Different kind of superhero story and I admit I liked the theme it took. Artwork was brilliant, especially the gallery pics at the end. Before I get all tongue-tied I will gladly give this book a five star rating.

Not the hero that every * needs but what every * deserves

I didn't know that this world needs a superhero who can inspire women to great things by giving them enlightened orgasms. Now I am waiting for the movie. Wordplays are light and perfectly executed. Very much in the same ballpark with south park. Light stories with politically interesting coloring.

Lick It Man to the rescue

This comic is a laugh out loud fresh breath of air. Sure we understand that consent is required. We all know what it's called when consent isn't given so no need to go over that issue. It's just intriguing to imagine a superhero dedicated to the needs of women, in the ideal world, the answer to those needs won't all be the big O.
