Listen, I could read it, and I did finish it! But it was poorly written. The funniest part I remember is her living in Ethan’s house, her mother being faced with being (basically) a slave for the family. Gavin is trying to get she and her mother out of this situation and she says she CANNOT tell Gavin her families financial situation. She’s too ashamed to tell him what’s going on… but the second time she met the guy, she went to his office in lingerie hidden under a trench coat and flat out told the guy her father was in prison and she needed the money to get him out. We are supposed to believe not only HE forgot that, (as brilliant and powerful and all-knowing as he is supposed to be… he has minions that can supposedly found out ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE within minutes) but she forgot she did that, too? This is just one of MANY discrepancies that make absolutely no sense.
Irene is flat out told by Ethan’s family that there was a relationship between Judy and Ethan, and she is still confused? Over and over, throughout this book, nothing makes sense for any logical person. Gavin treats her like absolute DOGSHIT at times, considering her a slut, but he’s in love with her? Same with with Ethan. She was a VIRGIN when this story started, and he kept telling her, “all you’re good for is spreading your legs!” It’s just absurd.
Oh, and the many, many times we hear, “I let out a breath I didn’t know I was holding”. This book sounds like it was written by a teenager, at best. Was it?
Then there’s the weirdness that these are WOLVES AND LYCANS, yet you never hear ANYTHING about them actually being wolves and Lycans. It’s just thrown in there, I guess, because it’s appealing to people who read these stories.
Oh, and I cannot even begin to describe the illiteracy. Being nice, it’s poor. Misspelling, lack of punctuation, on and on, like it was written by a child.
All of that said, listen, if you’re in it for the hot tension and love story and don’t give a shit shout details, and you don’t care about any of it making sense, it’s fine. It’s not even finished. It can keep your attention well-enough, if you ignore the constant discrepancies I mentioned. I’m just appalled it has so many five star reviews that bait people into spending actual money on this. I find it sort of shameful, even more so because it ended so abruptly, and I highly doubt there will be any finality. I think the only reason this book has gained any traction at ALL, is from the shitty bait they put on Facebook. My advice is, do NOT spend your money. Find it for free.
