I've been so excited for the follow-up to Keeper of Death; you just do not know. JB came through, Messenger of Death was incredible!
With Sage being so open and accepting, it didn't occur to me that she might have difficulty at the academy because of how she was raised. Sage is taking classes and searching for a supernatural killer without any background information. Most students at least have the basics, but Sage never studied things like mythology or read fantasy books. It's wild, but she's doing a pretty good job. I just wish she had more faith in her intuition.
The harem is progressing nicely. Lucian is adapting. He's actually starting to grow on me. My sweet Khaild went a little primal, and I loved it. Then there is Liam. He's Irish and a bit of a psycho, so he already had me. I don't know if I forgot, but he makes cupcakes and reads paranormal romances, and he makes me laugh. I am a goner.
This series started off fast and has not slowed down. There is a working theory in play. Sage is gathering the clues, and everything is starting to make sense. They said if Sage and her guys got reincarnated together, then shit was about to pop off. Well, guess what? Shit is starting to pop off. I didn't expect the plot to go this way, but I always knew who the villain was, and it seems I'm not the only one who has a problem with them.
I loved Messenger of Death. I finished it in one sitting. Towards the end, there was a great twist and a really bittersweet moment for Sage. The end is near. There is only one book left, and I cannot wait.
