Awesome book on Powerlifting especially if you're like me with no coach, no powerlifting friends and on a solo journey trying to learn it.

Book is very detailed and breaks down pretty much everything you need to know about Powerlifting (at least the basics to get you going). I've watched a ton of videos on form and movements but there is something about reading about it that I've found quite helpful. From reading this book I've tweaked my form for all of my lifts and seeing a great benefit from it. The informative descriptions and thought process has helped heaps!

The author also seem like someone who is deeply passionate about Powerlifting, as a sport and as a lifestyle. It was quite interesting to read about where Powerlifting came from and where it is going. There is a sense of community in people passionate about Powerlifting. It is a sport that you can't fluke and the numbers show dedication. It is a sport that you can't blame anyone or have anyone take your credit, just you and the bar. Like many pro sports, it's a sport where you need the conquer your own internal dialogue to believe in yourself completely to be successful.

Great book!

Great introduction to the sport, some programing, a lot of tips for proper form. The parts i liked most involved interviews done with professional powerlifters. Great book overall.
