I love Airfureta. I love its ridiculousness. I love the over-the-top action and situations.
What I didn't love was a slice-of-life book where nothing of any import or interest happens. What I didn't love was if you removed all the repetition of how all the people of Japan though Yue and the others were so cute that the book would be half its length. What I didn't love is that for a bunch of characters I love I can't even tell you one thing that happened in this book and I only finished it a few days ago.
Will I read another one? Yeah, probably. But only to see if there is actually some movement.
I am not anti-slice-of-life -- but that has never been Arifureta and making it that just didn't read well with me.
