Two rival mapmakers. One remote frontier town. And a matchmaking mistake with lifelong consequences.
Harper Whitmore has spent years proving she can chart territory as well as any man—better, in fact. Her maps are vivid, detailed, and in high demand. When she lands a contract out West, she writes to Miss Mabel’s Matchmaking Service for a husband who won’t mind the dust, the solitude, or the way she sometimes argues with her compass.
Wyatt Harding is a no-nonsense surveyor with military precision and zero patience for “decorative cartography.” He requests a practical wife, someone steady and supportive—definitely not someone who might challenge him in the field.
Neither of them expects their match to be another mapmaker. Especially not the mapmaker they’ve spent years avoiding, rivaling… or secretly admiring.
Now they’re stuck in the same town, fighting for the same job—and thanks to Miss Mabel, sharing the same last name.
It’s messy. It’s maddening. And it just might be a match made in heaven.
They ask for quiet, obedient brides. Mabel sends them the ones with fire.
Full of laugh-out-loud banter, heartfelt faith, and sweet frontier romance, The Brides of Miss Mabel’s Registry is a series of wholesome, charming love stories where opposites attract, sparks fly, and happily ever after comes with a few unexpected detours.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet! So who am I? Well, it’s quite simple actually. Of course, first and foremost, I’m a wife and mother. I totally enjoyed reading The Mapmakers Mismatched Bride. Both Harper and Wyatt have reached out to Miss Mabel to find them a match. Their jobs are unique and need someone who will fit into their lives. They both butt heads as they arrive in Red Fern for the same job, little do they know that Miss Mabel is sending their matches there too. Just when their feelings aren't professional, their matches are arriving. They are both in for a surprise. I loved this story so much. I think it was the best of the five books I was given an ARC of this book by the author for an honest review.
Harper and Wyatt were two very headstrong people who were assigned to work together. Wyatt was beyond shocked that he was to work on a surveying team with a woman, of all things! Harper was beyond ticked that she was placed with a man that thought she should be at home planning the evening meal.
They both had signed up with the Matchmaker for spouses, but over time, they had to fight their growing attraction…
Miss Mable had other ideas for these two! I loved the ending 💘
Harper Whitmore & Wyatt Harding are paired up by a matchmaker, but neither has been told they are each other's intended. While surveying and creating maps in Wyoming, they drive each other crazy, until they don't. Interesting story. Several writing flaws (again). Really wish there would be moments of danger in this series. ⭐⭐⭐ Read 9/19/2025
I purchased this eBook. All opinions are mine alone without expectation or compensation.
A good read about two mapmakers who are working together on a project for the railroad out west and the relationship that unfolds between them…
This was a very well written story about two map makers who are sent to work on the same project for the railroad out west and unbeknownst to either of them they both had written to Miss Mabel’s Bridal Registry in search of a partner and boy oh boy does Miss Mabel set off a fun set of events in this story…
This is the tale of stubborn and straightforward you map makers. After being matched by Miss Mabel the two head for the same location and to share the same job. Neither knowing they have been matched. They do their job together in a precise manner, often butting heads with no agreement and argued compromise. Neither suspecting they were made for each other.
I have enjoyed all of this series and look forward to number 6 coming out in September. This number 4 book is one of my favorites in the series although each one stands alone and are fun to read as well.
Two very headstrong people seem like the perfect match for Miss Mabel. Working together to find the best way for the railroad line to be routed through rough terrain forge bonds that are unbreakable.
This was probably the best matchmaking story I’ve ever read. Yes the love story was great and the banter was good but the detail in cartography is fascinating to read.
