This souvenir anthology for the 2025 Stokercon held in Connecticut is an extremely interesting mix of presenter's notes, background information on the event and awards, industry insider information, tidbits of horror ephemera and a nice sized selection of poetry and short stories. I have to say that all around, this was a very informative, entertaining and fascinating read. I enjoyed slipping back and forth between various topics, a la magazine style, and it almost made me feel that I had attended the convention myself.
But to be honest, my main focus was the poetry and prose and this did not disappoint in the least. Every single piece was worthy of its inclusion and my only regret was that there weren't more on offer. By the close of the book, all I could think was, "I wanna go to the next Stokercon." Which is about the highest accolade I can give this book. If the anthology is this stellar, what must the convention itself be like?
