I Will Find You is another addictive thriller by Jessica Huntley. The plot kept me guessing and intrigued. I was immediately drawn into Bonnie’s chilling, terrifying journey. Her life was constantly in peril with danger waiting for her at every turn. “They say time heals all wounds. It doesn't heal them.
It merely dulls the pain on the surface, but underneath the scar is a wound so deep that it's impossible to reach the bottom.” Bonnie not only has physical scars, but also scars caused by loss and betrayal. The story is original, twisted, and frightening. Thank you Booksprout and Inkubator Books for my copy.

3.5 ⭐️|Another good read by Jessica Huntley. The story held my attention and continued to build the anticipation as to how the two FMCs in this story endings will play out. I enjoyed the dual POVs from Bonnie and Annalise, as well as the alternating timelines between “now” and “then.” Readers definitely needed the backstory in order for everything to come together. The atmosphere Jessica set was chilling to the bone, and brought an eerie feeling to the overall plot. The descriptive scenes in part 3 made me feel as though I was watching this play out. Those moments were very tense and made me continue to turn the pages. Although the story definitely had some secrets that were revealed, I think I was expecting a little more of a connection between Bonnie and Annalise. Overall, a good read that I enjoyed.

A fast paced thriller, set in the Swiss Alps in middle of a fierce snow storm. I flew through this wild one. Full of secrets and multiple points of views and time lines, I Will Find You is addictive and easy to read. The twists and turns were a mixed bag, some surprising, some not so much but still enjoyable.

I will certainly be looking out for more from this author.

This story started off very well: good writing, lots of suspense, decent character building. That blurb hooked me in!

And then, like the main characters in this story, the plot got lost in the Swiss Alps and I began to lose hope that both the main character and this rambling, repetitive, directionless thriller was ever going to find its way out of the verbal and literal snow storm it was lost in.

Too often the "misdirection" that the author attempted to take us on turned out to be more of a figment of Annalise's tortured, self-deluded imagination (or her lies? I stopped caring which it was.)

SLOPPY MISDIRECTION

I also expected so much more than that rushed - and the one hallucinatory - ending for each of the female character leads.

I have ZERO idea as to why Bonnie started lying about her entire ordeal, and then in mid-stride decides to tell the truth, and nothing but the truth.

No one was who they seemed, and the various flashbacks and the slow as molasses revelations were, to put it kindly, anti-climactic.

I'm giving this 3 stars (2.75 rounded up to a 3) because the first third of this book had me on the edge of my seat and kept me coming back to find out what the heck was going on. The SET-UP of the mystery pulled me in, but boy did the momentum fizzle out fast once the improbable, credibility-straining, and unsurprising "surprise" plot points were revealed.

My thanks to the author, her publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this novel in exchange for an honest review.

Off. The. Absolute. Rails.

Jessica Huntley has outdone herself—I Will Find You is a wild-eyed adrenaline rush from start to finish. This book is chaos, carnage, and claustrophobia wrapped in one icy nightmare, and I devoured every minute of it.

Bonnie? My nerves are still recovering on her behalf. Stranded in a blizzard with her husband and a shady stranger and no cell signal? Oh, I’d be a popsicle with trust issues! The suspense? Vicious. The twists? So damn good!

Blizzards, betrayal, and blinding panic—Jessica spins the kind of tale that grabs your collar and doesn’t let go.
Jessica writes like she’s actively trying to raise your blood pressure, and honestly? I support that.

One of my top reads this year, hands down.

As a devoted fan of Jessica, I’ve devoured some of her most delightfully twisted tales. However, this latest offering felt more like a murder mystery than the typical dark, jaw-dropping experience I’ve come to expect from her.

In the Swiss Alps, Bonnie and her husband Steffan seek refuge from a snowstorm in a remote cabin, occupied by a mysterious woman named Annalise. Initially relieved, they soon become uneasy as Annalise's sinister intentions surface. As tensions rise, Bonnie uncovers Steffan’s secret life, straining their marriage further. With Annalise growing increasingly threatening, Bonnie realizes that a deadly confrontation is imminent, forcing her to face a grim truth: someone is going to die in the mountains.

The story unfolds through a dual timeline and alternating points of view, adding depth and dimension to the plot. This structure allows us to delve into the lives of each character, exploring their pasts and the motivations behind their actions. Both protagonists are incredibly relatable, and the underlying message is crystal clear: you never truly know what someone else is going through, so be kind and avoid jumping to conclusions. And let’s not forget the age-old adage—be cautious about whom you trust; the closer you are, the less you may see…

The setting is atmospheric, at times almost claustrophobic, and Jessica paints a vivid and chilling picture. As an avid hiker myself, I can easily envision the precarious situations these characters find themselves in.

If you enjoy a moderately paced whodunit that keeps you guessing about what really happened and why, this book will captivate you for an entire afternoon. While it may not be the mind-blowing experience I typically associate with Jessica, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and will continue to recommend it. After all, her unique writing style is often impossible to put down! Don't miss out!

Thank you, Booksprout, for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Y’all, picture this: a romantic hike in the Swiss Alps, snow falling like a postcard—then BAM! Snowstorm of doom, one creepy cabin, and a woman named Annalise who definitely didn’t learn her hospitality skills from Airbnb. 😬

Bonnie and Steffan are rescued… sorta. But when “thank you for saving us” turns into “why are you watching us sleep?”—you know things are about to get icy. Annalise is unsettling in the best way, and just when you think she is the problem, guess who’s also keeping secrets? (Cough Steffan cough.) This book is a total pressure cooker of lies, tension, and paranoia, and I was hooked.

Jessica Huntley’s writing is razor-sharp with vivid, cinematic imagery (you’ll feel that snow in your bones), and the pacing? Chef’s kiss. Short chapters, rising dread, and characters so layered they practically peel themselves.

This is psychological suspense done right—moody, twisty, and chilling in every way.

Thank you Jessica Huntley and NetGalley for the eARC

This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I will admit, I was mildly confused with the quick change between character narration, but that only made me more intrigued. A few overwhelming thoughts:

1. Never wanted to go hiking in the Swiss Alps (too cold). No I really don’t want to go hiking in the Swiss Alps.
2. I want a book solely dedicated to Annalise. Our queen deserves to have her story heard
3. Didn’t expect anything that Bonnie did for Bonnie to have done. Her character development might have been the most shocking plot twist in the book.

I can’t wait to read more by Jessica Huntley. For the first book I’ve read by her, I can only expect it to get better.

I really enjoyed this book. The premise was good and made this a page turner!

I liked the cover. It was chilling. All the snow added to that feeling! It was well designed and perfect for the book!

The story is well written and flows nicely. The book is chilling and the language and word choice is the reason for that. It draws you in and hooks you beautifully.

The setting is excellent. Stuck on a mountain in a snow storm is so claustrophobic. It's absolutely perfect for the psychological thriller.

I loved the characters. They had depth which was good. Annalise was creepy but she worked so well in the scheme of the story.

I definitely recommend this. I adore Jessica's books - you won't be disappointed.

What a great read! I love this author for her unique plots! I just enjoyed reading this book without checking to see how far it was until the end. This is the making of a great book! I loved the closed in snowy feel. I loved the dual stories, and the tales of survival! I highly recommend! The only other comment I have is that the book ended quite abruptly. It didn’t leave on a cliffhanger or anything. It resolved satisfactorily! I just was expecting more pages. I’ve noticed this on some of her other books as well. But it does not take away from my experience!

The premise of this book sounded amazing and I was instantly attracted, especially as I love Jessica Huntley‘s dark and twisty psychological thrillers.

This one starts slow, then gathers pace and it is a quick read, but it didn’t really ever take off for me. I would say it is more of a murder mystery than a psychological thriller. The twists were predictable and the two main female narrators, Annalise and Bonnie, were too similar for me to differentiate between them as the POVs and timeline switched for each chapter.

I was expecting something more shocking when the two women’s backstories came together, but the tenuous link that was revealed was not really a shock considering how Annalise lived in the mountains.

Enjoyable enough, especially for those who are new to thriller style books, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations for me this time.

This survival thriller, was also a mystery that follows a couple’s desperate quest to find a missing person. However, their journey takes a perilous turn as the unforgiving weather and their discoveries intensify the journey.
The narrative employs a dual POV, captivating the reader from beginning to end. I found myself engrossed in the climb and horrified by the morally grey characters. They were mentally and physically challenged and I found it both terrifying and unsettling.
Jessica Huntley’s writing is nothing short of engaging and suspenseful, drawing the reader into a world of edge-of-their-seats experiences. If you’re a fan of a good thriller, I highly recommend this book. 4.5⭐️

We follow Bonnie and her husband Steffan as they seek shelter in a cabin during a snowstorm in the Swiss Alps, only to find themselves drawn into the unsettling company of a mysterious woman named Annalise.

I’m a huge fan of isolated mysteries, stories where characters are trapped in a confined space and forced to confront each other, so the premise immediately pulled me in. But while the setup was promising, the interactions and unfolding events didn’t fully deliver the tension I was hoping for.

The writing is fast-paced and easy to get through. But the repetition, overly coincidental twists, and a lot of telling rather than showing made it hard to stay emotionally invested. Certain motives didn’t make sense, and the prolonged focus on being trapped began to feel more suffocating than suspenseful.

The central theme that people aren’t who they seem had potential, but the story didn’t dig deep enough to make it resonate.

I really wanted to like this one as the premise sounded incredibly interesting however this book just wasn’t for me.

I will say that I read this book quickly and it was short so if you’re in need of that kind of book then you might want to give it a go.

This book contained the POV of Bonnie and Annalise, both of them in the present and in the past. I found that the chapters were short (which I normally love) but in this case the constant switch between POVs meant there wasn’t any flow to the narrative and in all honesty both Bonnie and Annalise’s chapter sounded like they were coming from the same character.

Furthermore, on the front cover it says “a gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist” and “the truth with chill you to the bone”. This book was neither of those things so I just feel disappointed because the plot was predictable and even the last twist left me feeling like wow… is that it?

Maybe this would be good for people wanting to try the thriller genre, but sadly it just wasn’t for me.

What an atmospherically chilling thriller! I can’t remember the last time I read a book like Jessica Huntley’s, “I Will Find You”. She wrote an immersive stranded in a cabin during a snowstorm premise that had me unable to out this one down. Not only did I love the premise of this haunting story, I also loved the complex characters, their shifting allegiances and emotional undercurrents. Above all, the high stakes climax was so claustrophobic and thrilling that I devoured this book in one sitting!

“I Will Find You” followed Bonnie and her husband Steffan, who were hiking in the Swiss Alps when they were caught in a deadly snowstorm. They took shelter in a remote cabin owned by a mysterious woman named Annalise. As the storm raged outside, buried secrets came to light—both in their marriage and in Annalise’s intentions. Being trapped and isolated, the couple soon realized the real danger may not be the storm, but the people inside the cabin.

Jessica Huntley delivered all the claustrophobic and atmospheric elements in this perfectly constructed classic thriller. The remote Swiss Alps setting and the brutal snowstorm heightened the tension and vulnerability the characters faced. Upon Annalise’s arrival, Bonnie and Steffan were introduced to a potential rescue and threat to their already terrifying circumstance. It was utterly gripping.

In addition to the isolated setting, the character dynamics made this story more layered and intriguing. While the characters were trapped in the desolate cabin, Bonnie and Steffan’s relationship revealed some marital cracks and Annalise true colors had shone through.

This chilling, twisted story wouldn’t have been as morally complex had it not been for the haunting and introspective themes. Trust and betrayal took the spotlight by unveiling how each character carried their own secrets; and as the true motives emerged, their alliances shifted and unpredictable twists and turns untangled. The theme of isolation was as dark and unsettling as the remote cabin scenery itself which made me love this story that much more. There’s nothing I love more than reading a thriller-mystery that’s set in a desolate location during the middle of a snowstorm. I also loved how the cabin served as both a refuge and prison for the characters. The cabin also mirrored the emotional walls that the characters possessed. Moreover, about a quarter of the way into the book, the pressure to survive was ever present and the desperation and unrelenting need to persevere continued until the shocking culmination. Altogether, Huntley skillfully showcased the raw and extreme choices the characters had to make in their menacing situation. It was engaging!

“I Will Find You” was the first book I’ve read by Jessica Huntley and it won’t be my last. I devoured this engrossing claustrophobic thriller! When compared to other novels in the psychological mystery-thriller genre, the suspenseful escalation and claustrophobic tension held strong ranking among well known authors such as Lucy Foley and Freida McFadden. If you enjoyed books by these authors and have not read a book by Jessica Huntley, I highly recommend giving this captivating thriller a read.

Who knew a warm, secluded cabin in the breathtakingly snowy Swiss Alps could feel more like a prison than a place of safety? That’s exactly what happens to Steffan and Bonnie—a couple already carrying emotional wounds—as they find themselves stranded with a mysterious, reclusive old woman named Annalise. And why, exactly, does her cozy home sometimes reek of rotting meat?

This psychological thriller pulls you in with chilling suspense, snowstorms, and a cast of deeply flawed, possibly dangerous characters. Steffan and Bonnie must grapple not only with the elements and their own lack of survival skills, but also with the growing suspicion that Annalise—and maybe even Steffan himself—aren’t who they claim to be.

I could almost feel the freezing air, hear the wind pounding against the cabin walls as the snow piled high over the cabin. The tension is palpable as Bonnie tries to decide who’s more dangerous: the witch-like woman in the cabin, or the man she married who may be hiding a darker truth.

I loved the layered storytelling, told through multiple POVs and four different time frames. We get Bonnie’s backstory from a year ago, Annalise’s haunting past from four decades earlier, and how the decisions made by their husbands set both women on a collision course that neither saw coming. The psychological depth of each character adds richness to the horror and suspense.

Will anyone ever find the missing couple? Will anyone uncover the secrets Annalise has been hiding in her remote mountain home? And seriously—what is that meat in the soup?

Gripping, eerie, and smartly written, I Will Find You is a slow-burn descent into isolation, madness, and secrets best left buried under snow.

Bonnie and her husband Steffan stay at a strangers (Annalise) secluded cabin after a storm forces them to seek shelter while searching for her brother’s remains on the Swiss Alps. They quickly realize Annalise isn’t as innocent and welcoming as they had first imagined. Hidden secrets from Steffan begin to emerge that make Bonnie question how well she knows her own husband.

This book is split into 3 parts and is told through the POV of Bonnie and Annalise. Their POVs alternate between their past and present and transitions smoothly.

Part 1 consists of Bonnie and her husband’s journey of their hike and their initial impression of Annalise and vise Versace.
Part 2 is when secrets unravel and things get more intense.
Part 3 is the most nerve racking part of the story and my favorite part.

It has untrustworthy characters with twisted secrets. The details of Annalise cabin and her characteristics were unsettling. Most of the plot twist were unpredictable and interesting. The ending was satisfying and tied the story together. Annalise past was sad to read about.

The only thing I didn’t like was the way Bonnie handled certain situations and at times the story felt slow.

I really liked this book along with her other book Room 21.

Bonnie and her husband Steffan are hiking in the picturesque Swiss Alps when an unexpected snowstorm forces them to take cover. When they find an isolated cabin, they think they have found the perfect place to wait it out. The cabin is inhabited by Annalise who takes in the stranded couple with no qualms. But very quickly it becomes clear that Annalise has something to hide. Trapped together, Bonnie and Steffan's marriage starts to crack when it appears that Steffan has been hiding a secret life. As the storm outside rages on, the nightmare inside has just begun.

I Will Find You is an atmospheric psychological thriller that will pull you into its icy grip from the first chapter. Huntley expertly creates a gripping sense of isolation and dread and the tension only deepens as we progress through the story. With short chapters and a brisk pace, this is easily read in one to two sittings. I have read quite a few books by Huntley before and she always does an awesome job layering tension and suspense. The final twist was satisfying without feeling too over the top. Overall, if you love atmospheric thrillers dripping in unease, I Will Find You is a solid pick!

First, thank you to NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC!

A dangerous trek to the Swiss Alps, leaves Bonnie and her husband Stefan stranded in a huge storm. Seeking refuge they tumble upon a cabin and its decidedly creepy occupant, Annalise.

This book definitely had me intrigued from the beginning. It’s told from the present and past perspectives of both Bonnie and Annalise, which definitely helped build the suspense. I think Annalise was a more interesting and more developed character than Bonnie though. Annalise’s backstory was quite frightening and helped develop my understanding of her present day situation. It’s hard not to feel sympathy for her despite how creepy she is, and part of me wishes her story ended differently and that she deserved way better than what life gave her. Bonnie on the other hand, I had a harder time understanding her motivation for the journey. I think her relationship with her brother could have been developed better so we could understand her choices.

Also, I definitely enjoyed the setting and understand the need for the devastating storm but part of me kept thinking “why didn't you choose a better time of year to do this trek?!”. Like yeah I get the peaks of the Alps will be covered in snow most, if not all, of the year. But c’mon I’m sure the risk of huge horribly storms is vastly diminished in like July or August. But that’s just me being a downer lol, the story obviously wouldn’t have worked all well without a crazy storm.

I can never say no to a Jessica Huntley read, you just know you’re instantly in for a good ride whenever you pick up one of her books, and I Will Find You did not disappoint. Everything about this book drew me in, the cover and the description both screamed out and as always, I loved every minute.

I was gripped from the very first page to the last. I enjoyed that I was constantly questioning some of the character’s motives, especially Annalise. I was constantly flipping sides, was she generally misunderstood? What she really so bad? Now I’m just accepting that it’s a bit of both.

I loved how the twists and turns began to unfold and how quickly Jessica was able to change the atmosphere of the book with these little curve balls. I did see some parts, but maybe this is because I’m getting used to Jessica’s writing now! Therefore this didn’t spoil anything, in fact it was nice to know I still have the detective skills in me at times.

This was such an enjoyable chilling read, my one regret and wish was that I actually picked this up in Autumn/Winter as it’s a book perfect for the colder, darker nights.

Bonnie and her husband Steffan take what’s supposed to be a hiking trip through the snowy Swiss Alps. But when a sudden storm forces them to seek shelter in a remote cabin with a mysterious woman named Annalise, things start to spiral fast. Secrets come out, trust dissolves, and survival becomes less about the storm and more about who’s playing a dangerous game inside that cabin. With tension building and the walls closing in, Bonnie realizes she’s not just stuck in a snowstorm... she’s trapped in a nightmare.

Spillin’ the Book Tea:
Let me be real with you... I’m never setting foot in the Swiss Alps. Nope. Not after this book. Jessica Huntley wrote a wild, twisty psychological thriller that had me second-guessing every single character and motive.

This story throws you right into the action and never lets up. The pacing is quick, the chapters short, and the tension is like a pressure cooker about to blow. I couldn’t put it down because every time I thought I had someone figured out, another layer would peel back. Everyone has secrets, and trust me, you won’t know who to believe.

Bonnie was such a layered character to follow. Watching her start to unravel the truth about the people around her was intense. And Annalise? Whew. That woman is a whole mystery wrapped in a smile. Creepy and compelling.

It’s one of those books that gets under your skin because it’s not just about who’s dangerous... it’s about why they’re dangerous. And the ending? Let’s just say you’ll be thinking about it long after the snow melts.

Folklore and storytelling are just made up stories right? The White Witch is just a story to scare the hikers right? When stranded in the Swiss Alps truths will be discovered that will change everything. This story unfolds in two parts then and now. Following the storyline of two seperate couples you discover multiple issues.Bonnie and Steffan are hiking in the Swiss Alps when they get stuck in a winter storm which leads them to a valley with a cabin that looks abandoned besides one light on. Crazy Bonnie found Annalise had Chris’s watch he had when he fell from the cliff hiking a year ago with Steffan. When all of the truths come out only one person comes out alive with a wild story to tell. Was very well written and I enjoyed the book so much! Very suspenseful and kept me on edge the whole time.

Great way for us readers to get to know the characters. The tension within each chapter had me on the edge of my seat. The plot was excuted flawlessly. I was floored with the twist. The characters were something else. I found myself cringing at some parts because WTFudge. I honestly was able to picture what was written as if it were a show. Bonnie went to the Swiss Alps to learn what had really happened to her brother and to bring his remains home, what she did not expect was to uncover secrets that would bring her life upside down. Her husband was a liar and a monster, she also discovers part of the story of the White Witch and is able to tell the truth about what happened in the cabin. I Will Find You is a story of resilience, rememberance, loss, domestic violence, lies and deceit and will keep the reader guessing who is the worst one till the end.

This book hooked me from the start. A trek in the swiss alps for Bonnie and her husband, does not go to plan. They are hiking to find her lost brother’s body but get lost themselves. They stumble upon a cabin the the middle of nowhere snd a huge snowstorm and seek shelter with its occupant Annalise. Strange things happen and lies come out.
A fantastic read. Would love to read more from this author. She has a great writing style.

Thank you for the opportunity to preview I Will Find You.
Interesting premise as this book is written in two timelines with the POV of two people. Bonnie and Annalise are in the alps and things take a turn for the worse.
I didn’t find this book as a thriller but it is short and entertaining.

This was a fab read, very fast paced and had me hooked throughout. I really enjoyed the secluded setting of this one and the little twists throughout. I really think this one would be a fab read for winter.
