A lovely collection of essays that point Christian parents toward discipleship. Someone below reviewed that they "weren't even original essays," but I'm not exactly sure what she means by that because it very openly says they are from Daily Grace Co's magazine. I found the collection encouraging, but if your family did discipleship really well and it's been a part of your life since you were a child, I could see how this book seems like it doesn't go very deep. On the other hand, if you grew up in a home that didn't do church or Jesus and you are looking for a way to get started with your kiddos (me), this is a good little primer.
I liked the format with a collection of essays. It makes for quick and easy reads in moments of quiet for busy moms. I liked a lot of the information and suggestions in here, but also because of the short format, you do lose some depth. Some of the writing does seem surface level and basic, but I would read this again and/or gift it to a friend.
I keep thinking I am going to like the studies from this company but everytime they are super boring and redundant just light and fluffy and this one isn't even original thought just a bunch of other peoples thoughts put into a book
I really wanted to love this book, & I did love parts of it. However, I was hoping more for a devotional-type book geared more towards families. It was easy to read, easy to follow, just wasn't exactly what I was looking for.
