Aiden E. Messer does not exist. Are they an illusion, a ghost, a mere thought? No one knows. If we are to believe one of the children they seem to work with, if they were a teacher, they would be as tall as a human. They are not a teacher. According to various sources, they have studied psychology, and have always had a penchant for horror and the macabre. They like to combine these subjects in their books.

"I want to be killed over and over again and come back every time just to experience it again. Until science makes some unbelievable progress, I'll have to keep it a fantasy."

From the very moment I heard about Snuffpuppy, I was intrigued. A book with a title that could have just as easily been my Tumblr handle back in the day? That had to be good, right? Then the reservations set in - you see, the extreme horror genre has burned me before, it's kind of a sodden place, oversaturated by books with less than mediocre writing, books that exist simply for shock value. However, upon starting the first page of Snuffpuppy, those fears abated, because it was then that I realized that this is an author who truly gets it. Books like Snuffpuppy are a rarity, they're so unlike anything before them. It's just so obscure, so intense and weird and fucked up, but it's so wonderful, also.

Snuffpuppy reads like a much shorter version of The Sluts, only, its The Sluts for the Tumblr generation. It's similar, yet, it's still entirely its own thing, while it may be true that there are similar stories out there, Snuffpuppy feels so strangely unique, I can't quite say I've read this before. There's this rawness to the writing, it's scaled back, compressed, Messer has done away with all of fancy tricks, leaving behind something grotesque, horrifying and extremely authentic. Never once did Snuffpuppy feel overwrought, or like it was trying to be edgy for the sake of simply offending us, it just constantly felt so fucking real, it felt just like the internet felt back in the day. Snuffpuppy is exactly the kind of book that the queer horror scene needs.

"I want your tears, but I want so much more than that. Your scream. Your fear. Your adoration. I should be your everything, your whole world. You'll beg for scraps of my attention, no matter how painful. I want you to start crying and throwing up from fear as soon as I enter the basement where I keep you chained, and I want you on your knees, begging me to stay and hurt you some more after I'm done using you. You're nothing without me."

Snuffpuppy is so much fucking fun, and sometimes that's just what we need. Sometimes we need to read about fucked up people engaging in some really weird shit, sometimes we just need a good old-fashioned gore-fest. It may only be about 25 pages long, but, that doesn't hinder it, it's totally wild, a never-ending thrill ride, the entire time we're following this deranged protagonist who likes to get high and post about his raunchy fantasies to his followers - it's a simple premise, but a brilliant one. Snuffpuppy makes wading through a sea boring, surface level horror books worth it, it's gone from something that simply had an interesting title and cover art, to one of my favorite pieces of queer media in the extreme horror sphere. So, thank you, to the author, for that.

"Ugh I'm so high and horny I just need someone to snuff me! Beat me up with a club, pour boiling oil down my throat, crack my ribs open and fuck my still beating heart, I'm begging you! I'll make such pretty noises for you!"

My apologies, Aiden, it took me a while to finally get acquainted with your game. But this story really grabbed me by the throat and choked me. Now I must read everything you write. I see you now. I see you.

For readers desiring a brief yet intense horror experience that can be finished in less than a day, this book is recommended. Snuffpuppy's goal of finding someone to take his life in an extremely graphic manner is achieved through a connection made on Tumblr. Aiden's capacity to produce engaging content that meets readers' expectations is showcased in this work.

⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Pages: 25
Format: e-book
Genre: Extreme horror, Erotic horror, Splatter punk

The author Aiden E. Messer recently put this little gem up for free on Itch.io and I just had to go and give it a try, since I am always looking for stuff to shock my system.

I also went into this completely blind (probably not the best idea with extreme horror and such) but honestly, I like to dive into something and just go with the flow.

And boy oh boy, was I sucked into an interesting story! The MC has some dangerous kinks he is into and after getting high and drunk, he made a mistake that would cost him dearly... Or... Will it?

Honestly, think of me what you want, but I enjoyed this one! The writing was actually pretty good and to my liking, it was a quick read and had some shocking scenes poking its head in the story.

If you want a quick read, with crazy dangerous kinks, and some torture along the way, this is the book for you!

Someone come get their deranged Tumblr boy. Somehow, even knowing what I was getting into, Messer got a gag out of me. In sum, "this was such a bad idea-" aaand roll credits.

There was not enough time to develop any real sense of destruction. The story is only 5,000 words and takes place over several days of meatless wandering. I can see that the author wanted some sort of personal connection to the sexual acts committed and the character, but there simply was not enough space to develop it, rendering the characters to be flat and uninteresting.

Overall, this story is a forgetful mess that relies on the cover to draw you in just to leave you guessing why you spent the $1.29.

Idk, 2-2.5? Wanted to read something sadistic and this certainly was but the end was like startlingly abrupt and felt like it was written by an amateur ff writer. 😐 Happy for Brennan, tho lol

I really enjoyed this story so much more than I thought I would. There are two main things that I enjoyed the most about reading this. Even though Brennan is making some wild choices, the motivation behind those choices feels very familiar. What does that say about me as a reader? Not the point.

The second thing I really enjoyed was Cain. I think it would have been so easy to make Cain a sadistic, one note, and irredeemable character. I fully expected Cain to be our villain and I was so happily surprised when I was wrong. I loved the dialogue between Cain and Brennan. All of it.

tbh? I've started this book because i saw that the cover was made by one of my favorites artists.

it's a little fucked up story, exactly what I expected, nothing more nothing less. I'm surely gonna read some other books from this author.

Short and easy read! I knew it was a short word count, but I do still wish some scenes were a little more drawn out. Despite this, super enjoyable!

Unlike most quick EH reads, I have to give extra points towards the fact Brennan is pretty fun to read about. I have such a hard time with other novellas because the MC’s tend to feel flat at best or aggravating at their worst, and Brennan wasn’t either of these! Will definitely be checking out some of the author’s other works in the future.

Snuff puppy

Brennans into some messed up 💩. His biggest dream in life is to be brutally 😵. Posting online his deepest fantasies of how he’d like to go, someone finally takes his bait. Will it live up to the fantasy?

Wow this was all kinds of messed up! For 25 pages it had me open mouthed the whole way through 😮 Aiden has such a talent for making even his shortest work have the biggest impact!

Makesure to check your triggers, it’s a lot! 4⭐️ from me!

“I’d love to impale you on a long metal bar from mouth to anus. I’d do it slowly, carefully, making sure you’d remain alive until the very end, feeling every agonizing second. You’d still be conscious when I roast you over the fire, nice and slow, before devouring you.”

Wow. For 5k words, and around 20 pages… this story packs one hell of a punch. This was a binge in one sitting read for me, and I can see why it’s been doing so well on Godless.

I have no idea how, but this was my first time reading Messier, but it certainly won’t be my last. The story telling, the tone, the character… literally everything was chef’s kiss and ON POINT!

It’s hard to say a lot without giving away too much… so I’m gonna have the synopsis help me with this, lol.

Autassassinophilia should probably remain a fantasy Brennan loves to daydream about being violently murdered, but is it still as funny when it leaves the safety of his mind and enters reality?

Grab it on Godless now.

Beware to anyone that's not into extreme horror or gore or the exploration of a very extreme kink.

An extreme horror good time. This was quite interesting for how short it was. The exploration of the snuff kink was fascinating and something to learn about. I wished this was longer into delving into the psychology of why/how would one have this kink in the first place. Overall, solid.

P.s. plus this there's a hot trans guy Dom if that helps to peek interest at all.

I am obsessed with this story! It was intriguing, dark and so much fun to read.
And the ending was absolutely perfect, I loved it so much.

it's not bad and for the price of free and at 20 something pages it's worth a read. however for a guy who's biggest kink is to be snuffed, it kind of... ended right as it 'got good'.

i was more unnerved by the nsft tumblr blog side of things lol. great cover though, definitely did its job of drawing the eye.

This was a fun, short read.

Brennan has an interesting kink and can't stay away from it, living through his desires. Except sometimes, perhaps we shouldn't follow through on them, except for Brennan...

Snuffpuppy is reminiscent of some of the most disturbing parts of 'The Sluts' by Dennis Cooper, but with a fun twist for the Tumblr generation. Highly recommended if you're looking for a fast, queer read.

The writing was simple, but I think it worked for the story.
I think I would enjoy it more when I was in my preteen years (I wrote similar stories back then, mostly for shock value)
