Rate this book
The Thicker than Blood Trilogy Christian Fiction Boxed Set includes Books 1-3 in the Thicker than Blood series. While each book stands entirely on its own, we suggest reading them in order.

Thicker than Blood (Book 1)

Two estranged sisters, one a rare book dealer, the other a cattle rancher, meet again after fifteen years.

Christy Williams finally has her life on track. She’s putting her past behind her and working hard to build a career as an antiquarian book buyer. She could never imagine that a stolen first edition of "For Whom the Bell Tolls" would lead her back to the sister she abandoned fifteen years ago. With her life in danger, can May’s Triple Cross Ranch be the safe haven Christy’s searching for? Will the sisters realize before it’s too late that each possesses what the other desperately needs?

Bound by Guilt (Book 2)

A botched robbery at a used bookstore sends a guilt-ridden teen girl on the run.
Foster kid Roxi Gold longs for a family and will do anything to fit in—even if it’s against the law. Police officer Abby Dawson has seen the worst of society, and not just at work. One fateful night a man’s innocent blood changes both Roxi’s and Abby’s lives forever. One searches for justice; the other finds herself fleeing with a stolen first edition of The Great Gatsby. Will the power of forgiveness set them free or will they both remain bound by guilt?

Ties that Bind (Book 3)

On a quest to find her father, a young woman discovers she has two sisters who have no idea she exists.

Newly released from prison, Brynn Taylor is determined to find her father, a man she's never met. Her only clue to his whereabouts is an address she finds in a rare volume of Jane Austen's “Sense & Sensibility” which he inscribed to her years ago. Armed with a bus ticket, a backpack, and her grandfather's gun, her search leads her to Elk Valley, Colorado where her plans and her life begin to unravel.

C. J.'s love of reading began when she was a kid dragging home bags of books from the library. When she was twelve she started dreaming about becoming a published author. That dream came true when her first novel Thicker than Blood won a national writing contest. It became the first book in the Thicker than Blood series, which also includes Bound by Guilt, Ties that Bind, and Running on Empty. She has also written Jupiter Winds and Jupiter Storm the first and second books in the Jupiter Winds series. Her children's fantasy Alison Henry and the Creatures of Torone has also been well received. She lives in Pennsylvania and is the horse care manager at a stables in Lancaster County.

Christy struggles with addiction issues and seeks to free herself from her past. In the midst of this, she finds herself drawn to her estranged sister, who has found faith in Jesus. What I love about this series is that it portrays Christians who are trying to authentically live out God’s command to love others. And they seek to do this while acknowledging the struggle that this can be. The characters are well-written, the narrative captivating, and the stories overall uplifting. Each of the 4 books in the series can be read as a stand-alone.

Wow

All were very good. The last one was a little confusing going back and forth in the time settings, and all the time wondering how it was going to fit in. Made up plenty of ways myself 🙃😉. Very good!

Very good stories

This series of books are very well put together. The settings, characters, and plots are well developed. My only criticism: why do authors write about pouring over a book instead of poring over a book?

Changing Souls

Intertwining stories of young women who are struggling through life. Haven't we all been there? These young women aren't rescued by a knight in shining armor. They are saved by Christian people who have learned that Christ accepts us where we are. That's true love!
