Sometimes a book just hits right and this one did just that.
The main character isn't annoying and making stupid decisions for the sake of the story, but feels well rounded. I really appreciated that the main character wasn't some chosen princess or extraordinarily magical being, she is just a human trying to make it out alive.
The world building is unique and well done. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A new favorite! The story had some fun twists and I loved the Slips and world building with the Ashlora and other supernaturals.
Also the romance is believable and not another insta-love, fated mates like I've been reading so much of lately. There is a little spice which I hope to see more of in the following books. Spice 🌶️🌶️
If you are looking for a well written mature FMC with romance and a strong plot, add this to your TBR!
