"Under His Command" is a thrilling mafia romance brimming with danger and chemistry. Nikki Blake delivers a captivating tale that combines action, suspense, and steamy allure.
The story centers on Nadia, a woman fleeing from a troubled past and numerous aliases, who finds herself in the brooding, tumultuous town of Eira Bay. Just as she attempts to fade into obscurity, she is drawn back into the life she escaped from—by Cassian Wolfe, a powerful and mysterious leader of a ruthless syndicate.
What makes this narrative especially intriguing is the enemies-to-lovers arc between Nadia and Cassian. Their bond is rooted in suspicion, power struggles, and intense magnetism that gradually evolves into something raw and irresistible. Cassian is as perilous as he is captivating, and Nadia defies the typical damsel stereotype—she is fiercely skilled, layered with secrets, and never easily swayed.
The writing is rich and evocative, using storm imagery and architectural comparisons that elevate the atmosphere. Blake’s style balances poetry with grit, particularly in scenes of violence or closeness. Under His Command is book 2 in the Ruthless Ties series and is Cassian Wolfe and Nadia's story. Nadia, "a cybercrime maven" and the man who knows all of her secrets. Their journey is intense, intriguing, dramatic and sooo consuming. The chemistry between these two is palpable and there's no mistaking how in sync they are even when they deny it. They're complete perfection together in every way and their story quickly pulls you in and holds you in place until the end. There's lots of emotion, drama, and chaos packed into this short read.

Nadia thought she had escaped her past but it's about to come full force into her life and in the form of Cassian, and he wont be letting her go. Well written quick steamy desires and more!
