Despite having everything, twenty-five-year-old Lucas Devero always felt lacking something. The job, a car, a sexy body, and all the boys he had did not fill up that gap inside him. Lucas needs to be controlled by a man. Someone who will make him his property. A master who will own him and this is where Jake Heller comes into the picture. A hot leatherman with a strong hairy chest who will take control of Lucas. The story is narrated from Lucas's point of view.
The first book serves as an introduction so the readers will know the characters and the type of relationship that is going on between them. You will understand what each one of them needs from this bond or what is expected. If you read many gay BDSM books then so far nothing is new here because you are in a familiar territory. Taken Down does not offer new or revolutionary ideas in the genre but it is deliciously written and that is what matters. The two characters hookup after Lucas gets turned on by Jake's online profile which says "Special boy needed for serious use". The story is based on inequality between two consenting gay males. One of them becomes the Alpha Master to the other, controlling him in every way and this is what the narrator needed, to lose control. In this part, Master Jake dominates and uses one hole only, the other one will be used in the next book! The story is entertaining especially if you are a fan of the genre and can understand or tolerate the dynamics of such a bond. This is erotica so sex talk and action dominate from start to end. I loved it and want to continue and finish the series.
