Dominic Lowing is a high-ranking lawyer who lost his father to a stress-fueled heart attack, and his own fast-paced career as a lawyer has done little to help. But he knows which coping mechanisms work for him: diet and exercise, of course... and a very active, particular, sex life. Fitch Lamont has been working his corner on Wylde Street for two years. Not exactly the direction he saw his life going, but he’s a glass-half-full kind of guy. He has a roof over his head, enough food to eat...sometimes...and two best friends that make it all worthwhile. When Dominic encounters the rent boy who ticks all his boxes, he decides to make it a regular encounter. Then their arrangement, their personal lives, and feelings, collide in unexpected ways. Fitch found more than a client in Dominic; he found safe arms and a kind heart. Maybe, if he could let his guard down long enough, he might realize he found his future also.
Fitch and Dom’s "Daddy/ boy" dynamic was off the charts and the kinks they explored helped to make another great story by N.R. Walker, who is one of my favorite authors and a very talented writer.
This story of Fitch, the "Rent boy", and Dominic (Dom), the high-priced executive attorney, is really "high heat"...so expect a lot of chemistry, some positive banter and a hot relationship. Also, a bit of a mystery was added in. The entire book is well written, and the dynamic is perfectly balanced, consensual and well presented. We were also given some very sweet moments to add to all the emotions that are to be expected from N.R. walker.
One of the things that really made the story stand -out, was the tough, but necessary, and honest conversations that took place between both men. As their relationship developed and deepened...they spoke about their feelings, both old and new, their professional lives, and especially what the future might/would look like for the two of them. A future that Fitch never thought he would have or was deserving of, and the future that Dom wanted to some much to share with this boy...more than he wanted to take his next breath.
