The contents of the book was great. The bond the women had was so beautiful. I would give the book 5 stars on that alone but I can't. I had to rate it lower because the formatting/editing is not great. The book was like one run on sentence, making it hard to read. Because there was no separation in text, it was hard to follow the dialogue. The cliff hanger was awkward. Each lady had so much potential to have their own story. I realize this book came to the author in a dream but story left a lot to be desired as far as character development.
I will read book two because I'm invested, but I hope the editing and formatting improve.
All B.A.R.K. No Bite is a book about sisterhood and Black women empowerment, filled with drama, laughter, and heart.
We follow four friends as they navigate love, family, and the ups and downs of life while always holding each other up: • Bianca steps into a new relationship with Mike, who comes with a beautiful daughter and a high-conflict BM. • Alicia, the oldest sibling, juggles family responsibilities and her workload. When one of her siblings is in an accident, she’s shaken—but a new doctor catches her eye. • Regina has been with Jeremy for years in a toxic but familiar cycle. He’s finally ready to commit, but will they even make it to the altar? • Karina, a bisexual woman, loves her man but also feels drawn to Dominique, who may not be as genuine as she seems.
This book was an absolute ride—packed with messy drama, funny moments, and emotional depth. A fast-paced, engaging story about friendship, love, and the resilience of women.
All B.A.R.K. No Bite by Michelle Nicole is a fast-paced, suspense-filled ride that grabs you early and doesn’t let go. By chapter three, you’re completely locked in, turning pages to see what happens next. It’s the kind of quick read that still manages to pack in high stakes, emotional beats, and unforgettable characters. At its core, this story is a reminder of the power of sisterhood and the beauty of found family; those bonds that hold us together even when the world feels dangerous and uncertain.
I really liked this book a lot. The sisterhood between the women was my favorite part. No matter what happened, they always had each other’s backs and knew each other better than anyone else. I loved seeing such strong friendships where no man ever came between them. The messiness and drama kept things entertaining and made the story fun to read. It was an easy, enjoyable escape and a great reminder of how powerful real female bonds can be. A solid, feel-good read that kept me smiling.
The plot is there but the execution could’ve been better. It just seems like so much in so little time . I feel as if they each got a chapter to tell their story would’ve been better. Instead it’s like reading everybody’s story all at once and hoping you get it right cause it just kept switching perspectives
This book was overall OK. There were a lot of characters at the beginning to try to digest. My only suggestion was to like do one person per chapter at the beginning so we can get their story and then go into it sometimes it just jump from one person to the next in the chapter, not knowing who story we’re reading.
All Bark and no bite was gripping me by the edges. When i say ride or die girlfriends THIS IS WHAT I MEAN. I got all the feels of sisterhood in this story and i pray she working on part 2 cause im ready to eat that up!!! Good job girly!
I know this is this authors debut, and I don’t mean to be harsh, but I did struggle through this book. I wish the dialogue was separate from the other parts of the book because the way it was formatted it kind of all just ran together and made it a bit difficult to read. It could be the Kindle formatting; I know it’s happened before where Kindle will screw up the way the book is formatted.
