Well, this is something I have read now. Though the author does warn you at the beginning it airs on the side of ludicrous.
It involves a cursed sentient object in the form of a glory hole. He can feel sexual contact and can speak, but can’t see. He (Josh apparently) is used in some match making connections to get a 21-year old together with her roommates much older father. There’s some mild daddy kink mixed in and they both go down on each other out before going home for the real action - which the reader doesn’t get to see. Josh gets edged during this whole thing but doesn’t actually get off, apparently the person who cursed him wants him to suffer for a bit longer.

After finishing my current read, I was thrilled to find that I had received the eARC of The Glory Whole Experiment, so I immediately put this novella at the top of my virtual pile of eARCs to read.
Having read The Glory Whole Package, how could I resist reading the latest book in The Cursed Matchmaker series? I don’t know either, because I couldn’t stop myself from giving in to my curiosity, and I’m glad I did because I really enjoyed this novella.
In The Glory Whole Experiment, we meet Josh again—who has been cursed to live the rest of his life as a sentient glory hole—as well as Bethany, the witch who put the curse on him. However, two new characters find themselves in the booths, separated only by the partition where Josh is trapped.
Olivia is a young woman celebrating her twenty-first birthday by going to a sex club with her friend Karrie. Unfortunately, the experience turns sour when the two young women see Karrie’s father walking into the same sex club. Looking for a place to hide, the two friends are separated when Karrie suddenly feels nauseous and runs to the toilet. Bethany then blocks Olivia’s way, but eventually helps her to safety in a booth with a hole in the partition—that hole is none other than Josh.
Rob Quinn is furious when he realises that his daughter, Karrie, and her best friend Olivia are in his club, having recognised the bar in a photo Karrie sent him. Determined to get the two young women out of there—Karrie is his daughter, and Olivia has been the object of his fantasies ever since he met her when she and Karrie became roommates—he goes to the club to track them down. After they try to escape and he tries to go after them, he finds himself blocked by Bethany, who advises him to go to the booth next to Olivia’s. The Glory Whole Experiment is the second story featuring Josh, the poor, cursed man stuck as a sentient glory hole, and if you thought book one was wild, buckle up. This novella is unhinged in the best way: funny, filthy, and weirdly emotional for something that revolves around magical voyeurism and a sex club.
Olivia and Rob's taboo age-gap tension is electric from the jump. She’s celebrating her 21st at a sex club with her bestie... whose dad just so happens to frequent said club. Rob’s grumpy, growly, and trying to play responsible parent, but Olivia has other ideas, and when they get locked opposite sides of Josh's booth, things get hot fast. The spice is absolutely on brand for this series: kinky with a side of daddy play and mutual desperation.
And poor Josh? Still cursed. Still stuck. Still edged. His internal monologue adds an oddly poignant touch to this ridiculous premise, and I genuinely need answers about what he did to Bethany! Is she playing matchmaker or just enjoying watching him squirm?
This is a short, spicy, unserious ride that somehow delivers character development, magical lore, and laugh-out-loud moments alongside the heat. If you’re in the mood for a wild, kinky novella with sentient-object POVs and cursed romance chaos, you’re going to love this. But fair warning: the cliffhanger at the end will leave you as frustrated as Josh. Josh deserves answers, and frankly, so do I.

The Glory Whole Experiment - Sabrina Cross
Reading this series after starting with book 3 really makes me feel sorry for Josh. Josh and Bethany went through so much, him, especially. But I’m really glad that he got his happy ever after in the last book. While their dynamic is very interesting they are not the focal point of the story. Olivia and Rob were very interesting couple. And I liked how similar to the last book in the series, book 1, there’s also a hint of the secret or hidden identity. Samantha in that book knew who was on the other side of the wall just like how Olivia recognizes Rob‘s voice and knows it’s him. I really like this author‘s writing on the plots they come up with. They are always so fun and engaging and entertaining. There’s never a dull moment reading these books.

Olivia is out at the club celebrating her 21st birthday when she sees her roommate’s dad. She’s had a crush on Daddy Rob for a while now, but figures he’s probably not into his daughter’s friend. Rob is single and ready to mingle. He thought he saw Olivia in the crowd and chases after her when she disappears to the glory hole section of the club. Bethany, the witchy matchmaker is there to guide Olivia and Rob (separately) to their private hole. Rob figures he can blow off some steam but Olivia would recognize his voice anywhere and indulges in one of her fantasies.
This was such a fun and quick read about an unlikely couple. Things got spicy and delicious…but not really for Josh. I can’t wait to find out what he did to deserve this punishment…

Enter Olivia + Rob. Oh yes, THAT Rob—whose daughter happens to be Olivia’s bestie. 🫣 Cue me cackling like a gremlin because the CHAOS is unmatched. This was straight-up filth, wrapped in pure unhinged energy, and I loved every messy, sweaty second of it.
Josh is out here playing voyeur fairy godmother, making sure the club gets its freak on while he’s stuck cursed into a wall like, “Bethany whyyyyyy 😭.” Two years, girl?? TWO YEARS?? I am begging for the backstory. What did this man do to piss her off so badly she said: congrats, you’re architecture now.

What did Josh do!!??!!
Honestly this story is wild, and really unique. We've two stories in one, here: this is the story of Olivia and Rob, her best friends Dad, giving into temptation at a kink club. If some light Daddy time is your jam, this will be a good time. It is also, however, the ongoing saga of Josh getting edged by Bethany in the most bizarre way possible (edging by transformation into a glory hole is both wonderful and very, very weird). I am significantly more invested in this second story - this is book two in the series, and I'm wondering how long Sabrina Cross can keep this going - will poor Josh ever be able to get off? Or is he forever trapped as a needy hole? These are not words I ever thought I would write, but here were are, and I am invested.

Honestly this story is wild, and really unique. We've two stories in one, here: this is the story of Olivia and Rob, her best friends Dad, giving into temptation at a kink club. If some light Daddy time is your jam, this will be a good time. It is also, however, the ongoing saga of Josh getting edged by Bethany in the most bizarre way possible (edging by transformation into a glory hole is both wonderful and very, very weird). I am significantly more invested in this second story - this is book two in the series, and I'm wondering how long Sabrina Cross can keep this going - will poor Josh ever be able to get off? Or is he forever trapped as a needy hole? These are not words I ever thought I would write, but here were are, and I am invested.

Here’s the deal: most of this book is all about the messy, forbidden, and seriously spicy romance between Olivia and her roommate’s dad, Rob. It’s hot and totally addictive.
Meanwhile, poor Josh—the cursed glory hole—is edged to the brink but denied release. Just as he’s about to finally get off, Olivia and Rob pull away, leaving him stranded again. I seriously feel for the guy stuck in this crazy curse. I need answers. Why is Josh even a glory hole??
And the ending? It left me hanging so hard I’m still recovering. I need more of this tangled mess—more Daddy drama, more tension, and definitely way more of Josh’s story.

Hahah poor Josh. Im really starting to feel sorry for the guy! I also NEED to know what he did to deserve that kind of torture from Bethany! In fact, I'm starting to feel like this series is a social experiment, and Sabrina is secretly called Bethany, and we're all Josh!!! She's slowly edging us with these books, and we're never going to find out why!!! Sneaky Sabrina (Bethany). Im looking forward to the next one!

This one was just as good as the first book, but sadly the age gap and Daddy play didn't end up being my thing. However the writing was excellent, hot, and I know you will love it if that is your favorite flavor. I love that we have a continuing plot between the books with Josh (the GH).

I really wanted to like this, but it just wasn't for me. It felt more like a scene rather than a novella, and I felt like the FMC's wants and needs were just on the backburner. And the sentient/cursed aspect felt more like just voyeurism rather than a plot point. Fun idea, but the payoff wasnt there for me.

How does such a short novella feel so complete but also not. That felt like a very mean cliffhanger, I wanted more of the sentient being. But we are left with a happy for now due to the sentient being and witch who decided to play match maker. I love these sentient novels. You expect garbage but somehow actually get a story, and in as little as 30 pages. The talent of this author is amazing.
