“Knowing is only half the story. Doing is what transforms our health and rewrite your story.” I LOVED this book and Sages gentle yet fiery, unapologetic approach to the topic of herbalism and holistic health. This is such an excellent introductory book for women of all life stages on herbalism. I truly feel like I have a solid foundation on which to build throughout my life. I am so thankful for Sages wisdom and insight, and can't wait to see how my journey in herbalism continues to take shape and how it will be a tool that nourishes both my health and that of my family. Highly reccomend for all women with a deep *interest* and *respect* for the topic!
If you’re like me—past the “just winging it” phase of life and staring down the chaos of brain fog, energy crashes, and all the mood swings that come with the late 30s, 40s, and 50s—Herbal Biohacking for Women by Sage O’Reilley is like a breath of fresh, leafy air. This isn’t some woo-woo, “just believe” spiel. It’s legit, science-backed, and totally practical. What I loved most? Sage doesn’t just throw around the usual “hormones are messing you up” advice and leave you hanging. Instead, she dives deep into how you can actually work with your body’s changes, not fight against them. It’s about tuning into yourself with the wisdom of ancient herbs combined with modern science—which, honestly, feels like the perfect combo we all need but rarely find. The book is packed with down-to-earth tips for everything from sleep struggles and digestion issues to anxiety and inflammation. Plus, Sage’s guidance on easy lifestyle tweaks makes herbal biohacking feel accessible, not overwhelming. I appreciated how it felt like a conversation with a wise friend who’s been through it all—and wants you to thrive, naturally. If you want to ditch the fads, cut through the fluff, and finally reclaim your mental sharpness, energy, and peace of mind without turning your life upside down, this is the book for you. It’s empowering, practical, and honest—the kind of wellness guide I wish I’d found years ago. For anyone ready to feel like themselves again, herbal biohacking just became your new secret weapon.
I really liked the balance between being informative and totally relatable. What stood out most was how the author kept everything grounded—you don’t need to overhaul your entire lifestyle or start foraging in the wilderness to benefit. The guidance is clear, the tone is encouraging, and it really feels like it was written with real, busy women in mind. There’s a comforting sense of “you can do this” on every page. I especially appreciated the way the content was laid out. It’s easy to follow, not preachy, and gives you the tools to make small, meaningful changes without pressure or overwhelm. If you’ve ever felt curious about herbal support but didn’t know where to start, you’ve found it here.
I really did not know what to expect from reading this book, but I was very impressed by the information that was specific to women. I have read quite a few books on wellness, but they seem to only apply to men. This book goes through how to naturally work with your body, which made it easier and more effective for me. I was never educated in such a way that made me feel so in control of my health, until this book. Wonderful resource.

O'Reilly's book offers up some very good advice on hormonal balance mental clarity and everything else that comes with aging as it effects your body. The fact that it uses holistic remedies from natural and ancient plants is a plus. It is well written in such a way that is easy to follow along and makes for a great resource to have on hand.
