“I think someone is after me.”

When a true crime podcaster suddenly vanishes after her broadcast without a trace.
She leaves behind an ominous message to her listeners and a cryptic text to her best friend.

Soon unexpected feelings arise,
feelings that Allison thought she left in the past.
The two vow to do everything in their power to find Mia.
But as time runs out, the glimmer of hope begins to fade, and emotions Allison tried to bury start to resurface.

With the help of lawyer and PI Avery Hart, finding Mia Davis will lead Jacob and Allison on the path to finding more than they bargained for.

The third installment of the Juniper Springs series is here, and you don't want to miss it!

Miss Davis is a local true crime podcaster in Juniper Springs, but she thinks someone is stalking her. There are weird clues, ending with her very last podcast that tells her followers as such. She packs a bag and leaves town, only to vanish into thin air. Her brother, Jacob, gets a call from her best friend, Allison, and the two of them begin their search. They enlist the help of local PI, Avery, to put the pieces together. Can they find her before the unthinkable happens?

This series is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine, and AJ Rivers is doing a phenomenal job of blending suspense, thriller and romance into stories that will keep you turning the pages.

The Search | Book 3 in the Juniper Springs Mysteries
By A.J. Rivers
Narrated by Tiffany Vanlandingham
⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another fantastic addition to the Juniper Springs Mysteries. This one leaned a little heavier into thriller territory than some of the previous books in my opinion, with a much bigger final showdown and higher stakes throughout (trying to save someone versus solve a murder).

But don’t worry... the romance is still there 🥰

I’m hoping a future book gives Kaylee her own love story. Girl has been through it! You never know, maybe some more ghosts of podcasts past can come back and bite her again.

I really like how Rivers continues to build on the characters in this series - while this one focused on Allison and Jacob's relationship, we still see Carrie+Ryan and Avery+Lance.

As always, Tiffany Vanlandingham absolutely delivers with the narration. There are a ton of characters and emotions woven throughout this series, but she gives each one their own distinct vibe and personality. It never feels confusing or repetitive.

I did struggle with the doctor character, though. Between the voice choice and his absolutely wild malpractice-level suggestions, I spent an entire chapter of the book wondering how he was even in business and why Carrie gave him the time of day at all. Unfortunately, because Carrie doesn’t have the same strong, confident energy as Avery and Allison, she more or less let him walk all over her. She second-guesses herself constantly, apologizes for everything, and feels much more emotionally vulnerable, which made parts of this storyline extra frustrating. Imma need this girl to get it together at some point!

Overall, another solid installment, and I’ll definitely keep recommending this series!

This is gripping from the very first chapter! There are so many red herrings and twists and turns along the way that it really kept me guessing to the last!

The sparks flying between Jason and Allison we everything 😍 Some might argue that these are, perhaps, not the best circumstances in which to fall in love, but life is too short, eh?
We also catch up with our old favourites Avery and Lance, as well as Ryan and Carrie from the last book. It’s lovely that the world is expanding, rather than just concentrating on new characters each time!

I listened to this one on Audible - Tiffany has done an absolutely amazing job with the narration. I was so invested in every single character! You can see even since the first book how far her narration style has come on (and let’s be honest. I adore the first one as well) and I can’t wait to see what she comes up within the next one!

The book takes place in Juniper Springs again when Mia disappears. She does a true crime podcast and finds herself being followed and it is up to her best friend and brother to find her. Characters from past books, Avery, Lance, Ryan and Carrie are also there to add to the story. I absolutely love that this small community has repeat characters, yet each story is different. There seems to be some crossover for the story only to enrich the story. It is well written and descriptive. The story is fast paced and interesting. I am also enjoying the romances added in. Although I am a fan of the Emma Griffin, Dean Steele and Ava series, this is a nice change of pace. It is really exciting to look forward to more in this series, and it's always a surprise to get into a completely new story with a familiar setting.

The Search pulled me right back into Juniper Springs from the very beginning and did not let go. This time around, Kaylee—the podcaster we’ve come to know from earlier books—believes someone is following her before suddenly disappearing in the middle of the night. When her best friend Allison lands from a trip and finds Kaylee’s message waiting for her, things spiral quickly as family gets involved and Allison teams up with Kaylee’s brother, Jacob, to figure out what happened. Their investigation takes them through Kaylee’s recent true crime cases, trying to determine whether someone connected to the podcast could be responsible. I loved that the mystery unfolded alongside the characters because there wasn’t an obvious answer waiting from the start, which kept me fully invested in piecing everything together with them.

At the center of everything is the relationship between Allison and Jacob, which added just enough romance without taking away from the mystery. Allison having feelings for him from years before created some fun tension while they ignored repeated warnings from police to stay out of the investigation and, naturally, got involved anyway. Just like the previous books in this series, I was completely engrossed the entire time. The writing continues to pull me in effortlessly, and the audiobook narration elevated everything even more. Tiffany once again does such a great job allowing the characters to come through naturally, making it easy to disappear into the story. Now I’m already counting down until book four.

I was gifted a copy of this and really enjoyed that the Avery Hart PI story line continues in this installment of the Juniper Springs series. I love how we get to keep in touch with our favorite characters, while also falling in love with new ones!

I found this book to be a little more intense than the last two, due to the searching vs solving aspect. Allison and Jacob's story line was great. Not only are they working through clues to solve a mystery, but they are also working through personal insecurities, past feelings/idealizations, and finding what truly makes them happy. As always, the characters are very relatable, dragging the readers into the story line immediately.

Tiffany Vanlandingham knocked it out of the park once again. The connection to the characters is 50% the writing and 50% her performance. These books are the perfect match for her narration style!

This has been my favorite so far in The Juniper Springs series. I enjoyed the mystery inside the mystery that this series tends to have but The Search turned it up a notch including different true crime elements for Kaylee’s podcast. And Allison & Jacob’s romance was just perfect. As always TIFF’s narration was perfection and always has me locked in. In fact, I was so immersed in this story that I got in my head pulling into work over the weekend and seeing a coworkers car parked there outside of normal hours. I totally had it in my mind I was going to walk into my own mystery. Definitely didn’t happen. I was just channeling my inner Avery 😂😂😂 Anyway, The Search is a for sure yes for me! If you enjoy mystery listens you should definitely give this one a try.

I enjoy this series but would like more of a homey feel to them than this. So far each book has introduced new characters and their stories which is what books do but Hopefully the 4th book brings the small town gang together like in the Emma books. Meaning more of Lance, Avery, Ryan and Carrie. This book didn’t hold my attention as well as the first two, slow but I did enjoy the podcast storyline.

I really enjoyed this one.

The premise hooked me immediately — a podcaster vanishes after hinting that someone is following her — and the execution held up all the way through. The investigation unfolding through podcast episodes was a standout element and made the story feel fresh.

This wasn’t a mystery you could solve halfway through, and I appreciated that. When the truth was revealed, it felt earned, not forced. Looking back, the clues were there, which made it even more satisfying.

Tiffany Vanlandingham’s narration significantly enhanced the experience, and seeing familiar characters again made Juniper Springs feel like a place I want to keep returning to.

If you enjoy mysteries that trust the reader and don’t rush the reveal, this is worth picking up.

I’m really enjoying the Juniper Springs series by A.J. Rivers. One thing I like most is how the story keeps building with each book. The town and the characters continue to grow, and the series doesn’t forget the storylines from earlier books, which makes everything feel more connected. It’s one of those series that pulls you in and keeps you wanting to see what happens next. I’m definitely looking forward to listening to more.

I don’t know why Kindle keeps suggesting these books to me. I wish I could remember that they are just not for me. If you like Scooby-Doo type mysteries with overly detailed descriptions, coupled with inaccurate references of said details - then you may like this series. I am hoping by writing this review that Kindle stops suggesting the next book. Once I start a book, I have to finish it.

Kaylee has a true crime podcast. She does all her own investigating, lays out all the clues she has and voices her own opinions causing enemies. Kaylee's best friend, Allison, gets a message from Kaylee telling her she thinks she's being followed. Allison rushes home from her weekend in Califo

horrible anxiety and terror - and ultimate triumph

Odd uninvited “gifts” to a true-crime podcaster, curious but not quite unsettling, then - she decides to go dark. Unfortunately, she disappears.

A fun story that takes you on a mystery ride. Trying to figure out the "who dun it" was fun. You had many guesses, but were wrong as you continued the story.

Small town mystery

The storyline is very predictable. Characters are slow to evolve. Not much mystery or suspense. Needs a little more energy.
