Sometimes the wrong number is the exact one you need.
When my phone rings and I don’t recognize it, I ignore it. Full stop. Never once have I regretted that habit… until today.
The message left on my voicemail was a plea for help, his car stuck on a country road as the rain cascades down. He had meant to call a tow company, but got me instead. No big deal. I just need to call him back, right? Wrong?
Cell service dies one ring in and I’m left with one two Hope they called someone else in the 20 seconds it took me to try and call them back or go and try to help them myself. I pick the latter.
Wrong Number, Right Grizzly is a sweet with knotty heat MM Mpreg romance featuring an alpha grizzly who gets a call he can’t ignore, the omega human with not one, but two flat tires, the crappy motel they get stuck spending the night at, just one bed, the wrong number that brings the two together, true love, fated mates, an adorable baby, and a happy ever after. If you love your alphas hot, your omegas strong, and your mpreg with heart, download your copy today.

A successful businessman and alpha grizzly shifter, Nix is all about comfort at home. Enjoy how Nix responds to a voicemail requesting a tow from the stranded human omega Ronan on a dangerously rainy night. If you’re a fan of comfort and love (first, steamy and family) you’re in for a treat!!!
Wrong Number, Right Grizzly is the 7th book in the Dial M For Mates series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story Nix an alpha grizzly shifter and Ronan a human omega. This was another sweet quick read in this series. These two are just so sweet together. This book was very enjoyable and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I would definitely recommend this book and series.
Another lovely tale of love found from a wrong number, as bear shifter Nix (Phoenix) gets a message left on his phone from a stranger, who is stranded in his car as heavy rainfall strands his car, and he is sounding ever more desperate when he leaves a second message. Nix realises the man has dialled the wrong number and that it is likely that no one else would turn up on that stretch of road, so tries calling him and tell shim he is coming, before the phone suddenly cuts off! Ronan is a human omega, who knows nothing of shifters, and was just desperate to get back to his own home after a long conference. If it had ended on time, he would have beaten the storm, but nothing seemed to want to go right, with his car conking out on a deserted country road! It is hours before help comes in the form of Nix, and he is desperate to get out of the storm and as Nix drives them back to the city, he realises the roads are flooded and they can’t get there. They end up at a rundown motel and have to share a room, but not a bed, ending up with a mix of dry clothes from the motel storeroom. Nix’s bear had recognised Ronan as their mate, as soon as they got to the car, and Nix realises he has to take it slow since Ronan is human, not something his bear wants. Once they can get back on the road, they go to Nix’s home and clean up, before calling in to work and taking the rest of the day off. Ronan is so comfortable being around Nix and doesn’t want to end their time together. Once he gets word his car is fixed, it means his time with Nix is over and he takes a brave step to connect physically with Nix before they part.
Returning to see Nix again, he catches him in his animal form and Nix suddenly has a lot of explaining to do. They know they can’t be without the other, but unfortunately, they live over an hour away from each other. Conversations are had about how they can continue their relationship, but no real solution can be found just yet. News of a pregnancy comes as a bit of a surprise and pushes them to figure out a solution a bit faster. Nix’s dads are both human and knew about the shifter world, making sure he could learn about that side of his world. They want to move closer and meet Ronan over numerous video calls, until they can make the move. Lots of amusement as Ronan starts to nest and get ready to have his baby or cub, as his emotions rocket from one extreme to the other, all of which Nix takes in his stride, always wanting to help his mate, no matter how weird the request may get. A cozy time watching either wildlife or murder mystery programmes, with compromise having to come, to please each of them. Nice to see the struggles at times, especially with trying to figure out how to manage life so far away from each other, and also changing jobs to enable the move. A lovely HEA for the pair, along with a new addition to their family and a set of proud grandparents in the mix. Reading about them getting serious about practising their breathing for the birth, turns quickly into reality, with Nix suddenly unprepared and panicking. Ronan is the sensible one then. Fate certainly has its own plan when it comes to bringing two people together and theses short stories always add a twist to the tale, which is always enjoyable. I can’t wait to read more of them!
I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above
Wrong Number, Right Grizzly is the seventh book in the, ‘Dial M For Mates’ series, This stars Nix, an Alpha Grizzly shifter, and Ronan, a human omega. This is told in first person from Nix and Ronan’s povs.
The authors created a cute plot. I liked the first one-quarter of the book the most, but after that, the book reverted to the usual problems the authors have in most of their other books. My mind kept wanting to skim the second half of the story. There were a couple scenes I liked, like the mystery sleuth rooms, and when Nix was completely clueless about Ronan being in labor.
In the beginning, it was easy to distinguish between the character voices, but once they lived together it was harder. Their names are different enough it shouldn’t have caused a problem, but because their voices were the same, I’d have to backtrack to the chapter beginning to remind myself whose pov the chapter was in. I liked that Ronan was an omega that was more in charge, not like the typical submissive omega found in mpreg. I also liked that Nix looked after Ronan. The authors did a good job of making me believe in them as a couple.
The things I didn’t like are problems that are frequent in the authors’ other books. Far too much monologue with telling rather than showing. There were multiple times I’d be reading and instead of one character continuing the conversation with the other in dialogue, he’d switch to inner monologue telling what the other character said and what he thought. It would’ve been so easy for the authors to enliven the scene if the two men interacted with each other instead of one just telling what was happening. The overuse of monologue had me wanting to skim read the story.
Overall, I liked the characters and the plot. However, there was far too much monologue, especially in the second half which made me want to skim read. I give Wrong Number, Right Grizzly, 3 Stars.

'But I hesitated, thinking the universe had chosen me to get his message. I couldn’t stop thinking of him stranded in the dark, unable to leave his car. And the rain hadn’t eased any. The road had no streetlights, it was in the countryside, and I wondered if he had somewhere to be. He’d sounded desperate and exhausted. Maybe he’d tried to fix the problem himself. But what if he was waiting for a tow truck that never came? I had to do something, and that something was to go and look for him.'
I really enjoyed this book. Good world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Nix and Ronan. Nix really impressed me after he decided to drive out to get Ronan after the guy mistakenly called him instead of a tow company. Ronan was an hour away, but because of the bad storm and flooding, it took two hours in dangerous conditions. All to help a complete stranger. And before that, he'd tried to contact tow companies to get him, but never got through to any. He really went out of his way, and put himself in danger, because he wanted to make sure he'd get the stranger the help they desperately needed. It really spoke to his character, and in spite of admitting he was a bit anti-social, he still made the trip. Fate rewarded him with his fated mate.
I loved that the authors also called a bluff: they got the last room in a run-down motel, and while Nix was secretly disappointed, there were two twin beds. I think this was the first time that the forced proximity trope came up, and there was no one bed to share. It surprised me enough I stopped reading for a minute to process that. lol
I liked the way Ronan and Nix's relationship developed. Nix knew Ronan was his mate him the start. Ronan felt safe around him and I liked the way the attraction grew.
“Most of the roads in the county are still closed, including the location of your vehicle.” 'My grizzly squeed, thinking we’d spend the day, maybe the weekend with Ronan. You’ll be mated by Monday.'
Nix works long days and doesn't get quite as much time for his bear to roam as they would like but they have a good understanding and make time for one another. His bear has also never pushed him to find his mate, they both know and understand that it is simply something that has to take its own course.
Arriving home, tired and wanting nothing more than to chill out, and knowing there is storm due to hit he decides to ignore his phone and just shut out the world. By bedtime he caves, he checks his message only to realise its someone who dialled a wrong number, someone stuck out in the storm in a broken down car, someone who needs help. He shouldn't but he does head out and it seems that it's going to be the best decision he ever made.
Ronan could have stayed another night in the hotel, had dinner and drinks with the colleage's he'd been trainign with all week but he wanted his own bed, the comfort of home and was certain he could out drive the storm. He was wrong and when his truck broke down he called for a tow realising he was unlikely to get help. When Nix appears and the situation becomes clear, they are both stuck and the motel has only one room, he begins to shut down, his desire to hide away coming on strong. Luckily Nix is kind, gentle and understanding, he is able to gently coax Ronan out of his shell and though he doesn't want to scare the human with his bear, Nix knows Ronan is the one. Ronan may be human but he knows there is a tie between the two of them. There is only one thing to do once the storm clears: work out how to be together.
Never has a wrong number turned into something so right. There is trust, love, protection, humour and a gorgeous bear or two in this sweet story. If only we could all dial M and find such wonderful mates, however I am glad we have this series to feed those desires!

Wrong Number, Right Grizzly is one of those romances that sweeps you up in fate’s wild sense of humor and doesn’t let you go. What starts as a simple wrong number spirals into an irresistible “meant-to-be” love story full of charm, heat, and heart.
I loved how Colbie Dunbar takes such an everyday mistake—calling the wrong person—and turns it into the spark that ignites something life-changing. The setup feels cozy and a little cinematic: rain-soaked roads, car trouble, spotty service, and then the tension of two strangers forced into close quarters at a run-down motel with just one bed. It’s the kind of romantic scenario you can’t help but lean into, grinning the whole way.
The alpha grizzly is rugged yet tender, and the omega human is strong, resourceful, and easy to root for. Their chemistry is instant, but it grows with layers of humor, vulnerability, and that magical fated-mates pull. Add in the promise of family with an adorable baby, and you’ve got a story that delivers both swoon-worthy passion and heartfelt sweetness.
What I also loved is how immersive the world feels—you can practically hear the rain hitting the roof of the motel, feel the weight of that wrong-number voicemail, and sense the inevitability of their connection. This book doesn’t just tell you about fated love, it makes you believe in it.
Colbie Dunbar once again blends steamy romance with genuine emotion, creating characters you want to spend time with and a love story that feels both fun and deeply satisfying. By the end, you don’t just want the happily-ever-after for them—you want to step into their world and be part of it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A wrong number has never felt so right.

Ronans just trying to outrun a storm when his car breaks down on a remote stretch of road. A panicked voicemail meant for a tow truck lands in Nix’s inbox instead. Nix lives a quiet life by choice, but something about the stranger’s voice pushes him out into the rain and straight into Ronan’s path. A motel room, mismatched clothes, and two twin beds turn a late-night rescue into something neither of them expects.
The connection builds fast, even when life pulls them in different directions. Ronan leaves, but their bond refuses to fade. When they find their way back to each other, secrets come to the surface and instincts take over. Nix isn’t just a loner, he’s an alpha bear shifter, and Ronan is his omega and fated mate. Together, they have to decide if they’re willing to trust what’s real between them.
As feelings grow stronger, so do the stakes. The future looks nothing like what either of them pictured, but somehow it fits. With big changes on the horizon, they face uncertainty together, learning how to lean on each other and build something that lasts.
Ronan starts out guarded and unsure, but becomes open, resilient, and quietly fierce in the life he chooses. Nix grows from reserved and self-contained to deeply connected and emotionally present. What begins as chance turns into something steady, loving, and real between them.
A steamy MM alpha-omega romance featuring a bear shifter, wrong number mishap, small town charm, and surprise twists. It’s about fate colliding with choice, finding strength in vulnerability, and building a home with the one who makes you feel seen.
Hang on get comfortable you are going to be a while because sometimes the wrong number changes everything. Ronan is a human who has been staying in a hotel training coworkers but he misses home so instead of hanging out he decides to head home assuming he can beat the storm but it never dawned on him that something could happen and so when his car breaks down right before the storm hits he panics thinking he calling the tow company but calls the wrong number leaving a message. Nix an alpha bear shifter who works too much doesn’t allow his bear out enough but they work well together he never pushed for a mate work then home is his life basically when he his phone he waits till he gets home to check his messages to listen to the message only to realize someone needed his help and he heads out to help him despite it being dangerous due to the storm. Ronan realizes it is unlikely he will get help but when Nix shows up he couldn’t be more grateful even if they are stuck in the same room since the motel only has one empty room but it gives them time to get to know each other some how Nix has the magic touch he pulls him out of his shell with his gentleness but is it enough time for them to know each other, his bear know he is his mate, will he accept all of him, will he want to come back after the storm, and is the start to their happiness?
I enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Dial M for Mates Series. This is a book about fated mates so their relationship moves at warp speed. When Nix, an alpha Grizzly shifter receives a voicemail from a man thinking he believes he rung a tow truck as his truck has broken down in the middle of a storm. When Nix tries to ring the number back it only rung once before the call drops, Nix knows that if the guys phone is flat or he doesn’t have service that he won’t be able to ring 911, so he goes to help since it’s the right thing to do.
Fate was definitely giving them a helping hand since Ronan happens to be Nix’s fated mate. I thought that they were cute together. How will Ronan take the news that not only are shifters real, that Nix is a Grizzly shifter and that they’re fated mates? I’ve already pre-ordered the next book, Wrong Number, Right Panther which I’m looking forward to reading it when it’s released, as well as more books from both authors in the future. I’d recommend this book, series and authors to others.
I absolutely adore the Dial M for Mates series. Book seven. Just how many wrong number stories can the Dunbar/Hart team come up with? Don't know, don't care. They're an immediate click when they come available. And they all have original twists on the alpha/omega, shifter/ human = babies theme. Maybe not as fun as needing a shelter for kittens nor as sinister as being offered to settle a debt (but that one might have been a Love-Sync story), but a dead car during a torrential storm is NOT a meet cute. Human, omega, Ronan, misdials for a tow truck and Alpha, Grizzly shifter, Nix, feels obligated to rescue him. It's Fate stepping in and matching the pair. Of course there's a bit of life juggling, but Ronan feels the bond and he isn't resistant . The story is very sweet. Ronan's pregnancy and the reveal handled perhaps not as original as some. But the labor was quite fun (maybe not for Ronan) and I couldn't ask for more. A quick, enjoyable read. Another team Dunbar/Hart win.

This is the seventh book in the Dial M for Mates series. Each book is a standalone read. This is the story of Nix and Ronan. Nix is an alpha bear shifter who is looking forward to vegging on the couch and watching TV after coming home from work. Instead he receives a call from someone trapped out in the storm with a broken down car who believes that they have left a voicemail with a tow truck company. Nix tries to tell them of their error but the signal drops due to the storm. With no name of the stranded person, Nix heads out to try and help the random caller. But once he arrives and meets Ronan he is certain that fate helped push him out the door to help. The human omega Ronan is his fated mate. Each feels an instant pull towards the other even though Ronan isn't aware of fated mates or shifters. This is their story. The book is well written and is easy to read. This is a fun and sweet romance and I enjoyed this book. I look forward to the next book in this series.

This was a really cute story of Nix who is an alpha bear shifter who get home just before a big storm hits and he notices there is a message left on his phone. He ignores it thinking that it’s someone from work, but when he listens later on, he realises that it’s someone in trouble and so goes out in the middle of the storm to rescue him. Ronan is an human omega who has left a conference that he was made to go to, the conference finishes late and he gets caught in a storm. He decides to go home the back way, but his car breaks down and he stuck in the middle of nowhere without a signal on his phone. When Nix finds him, he is cold, wet and hungry and all the roads have been flooded in so they can’t go home. They stay overnight at a questionable motel and this is the start of a beautiful relationship which leads to a beautiful son and a happily ever after.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
Nix got home saw he had a message from a number he didn’t know so went in to take a shower. But it nagged at him so he listened to the voice message from Ronan being stuck in the rain because his car quit. Nix’s grizzly wouldn’t let him go to bed knowing that someone had called him and had thought they called the wrecker service. Found the car and a tree across the road so he had to climb over the tree and helped Ronan and Nix took him to his house. Had to get a room to sleep in the road back was flooded he found some clothes and snacks in the office. Then when Ronan’s car was fixed he had to go home and to work but he felt so bad leaving Nix so he went to Nix’s place but found a grizzly in the yard. So Nix had to tell Ronan everything but Ronan had to find someone to take over the apartment and a remote job.

Nix was just at the place in his life where he really started to think about finding his mate. He has work and money but he was lonely. One night after the same day at work he always has he made dinner and sat down. When he checked his messages before bed his life changed forever. When he went to help the person out the last person he thought he would find was his mate. Now they are at nix's house and things get spicy. When ronan returns because he is missing nix he finds him in bear form. While nix wanted to tell him in own way this ripped the band-aide off for him. With the secret out he and Ronan talked about everything. Soon after they could no longer be apart because they seen two pink lines. They are spending together forever with their cubs! Sometimes the wrong number leads to your happily ever after!.

Another very enjoyable tale with bear shifter Nix rescuing human Ronan during a storm on a flooded road. Even though he didn’t know Ronan, he couldn’t leave someone stranded when they were expecting a tow truck, so off he went. Nix immediately recognized his mate but Ronan only felt drawn to him without knowing why. Time spent together led to Ronan seeing Nix as his Bear, nature took its course and soon there was a cub on the way. Even though the premise is the same in each of these stories, the characters are uniquely endearing and there is just enough difference to not make them feel repetitive. I thoroughly enjoy all of the stories from these two authors, and can recommend them as short, entertaining reads.

This was such a fun, short, and sweet paranormal romance that hit all the right notes! Wrong Number, Right Grizzly gives us Nix, a grizzly bear shifter, and Ronan, an omega who accidentally dials the wrong number when his car gets stuck on a back road. That one mistake leads to fate stepping in—and it’s clear from the start these two were destined to be together.
I loved the fated mates connection, the instant spark between them, and the way their story unfolded into true love and family. Add in a sweet baby and a happily-ever-after, and this book was everything I wanted in a quick shifter romance.
If you love MM, mpreg, and fated mate shifter stories, this one will leave you smiling!.

I love the books in this series. Sweet, romantic with a lot of knotty heat, and a fated mates ribbon to tie it all up.
One very stormy night Nix gets a wrong number call from Ronan, who is seeking a tow truck. Nix can't leave a stranger out in the storm, so he goes to rescue him. They end up in a cheap motel, bonding and having more fun than either ever expected to. They spend some time together, then have to part. Of course that's not nearly the end as they are fated and eventually figure that out. I always love the human finding out about shifters in this series and this one was particularly fun and sweet. I loved it.

This story hooked me when Nix checked his voice-mail. Ronan was a by-the-schedule kind of guy who liked his own space. Nix was much the same. Fate's funny that way. Their individual fixations on vastly different types of shows struck me as hilarious though - couldn't be more different.
The pacing and development of the story was appropriate as I remained totally invested in the characters throughout the various struggles they encountered. They both had to learn to work together and compromise if they wanted a real relationship. The inclusion of extended family was very welcome as well.

Heartwarming! Nix, a grizzley is tucked up in his home ready to wait out the storm. He gets a call from someone who obviously thinks he's a tow truck driver. He has to drive through hazardous conditions to find the stranded motorist, Ronan. Their meeting is dangerous and drives the men toward hightened emotions. Navigating a relationship that starts out with secrets is nerveracking, especially when the men, Nix and Ronan are so sweet. Nix's human parents are adorable and help Nix share his story. Nice story, excellent read, like a soft comforter. Well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Nix had just gotten home and was settling in for the weekend while storm raged outside. He realized he had a voicemail and debating on whether to check it thinking it might have been his job. Upon checking it he realized he did not know the person that was calling but it was a man named Ronan who is stranded and had called the wrong number. His first instinct was to leave it be. But after thinking about it and how at the storm was he decided to try and help them in. Imagine you're surprised when it turned out to be his mate.

This book is about Nix, a grizzly shifter and Ronan, a human meeting by fate in the form of a wrong number. When a storm leads Ronan stranded on the side of the road, his hero comes in the form of Nix, the person he accidentally called for a toe.
Nix instantly recognizes him as his fated mate, but how to explain it all? How will Ronan react when he first meets Nix's beast?
Read their journey on how they found their hea, you won't be disappointed!
holey t-shirt, motel logo clothing, chainsaw, foam egg crate, escape room, orange-yellow paint chip, so many bassinets!
Like the other books in this "Dial M for Mates", this is also cute and sweet. Nix is the best alpha bear shifter for human omega Ronan. They meet when Ronan misdials a tow company and calls Nix instead during a terrible storm. Left without viable options, Nix reasons that he must go and help Ronan. Nix scents Ronan as his mate. Coincidence or fate?
Nix and Ronan were so sweet together, and the events that led to their first meeting were quite interesting. I liked how fast they bonded and the way the truth about the supernatural was accepted. It was endearing seeing them spend time together, the professional decisions they had to take to be close to each other, and the wonderful time they had. The birthing scene of their bundle of joy was entertaining, and the happiness that followed immeasurable. I liked their story, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
Wrong Number, Right Grizzly by Colbie Dunbar is a sweet, low-angst romance about fated mates. During a snowstorm, Ronan, a human omega stranded on the roadside, accidentally dials the number of Nix, a grizzly shifter who usually prefers solitude. This chance connection leads to a tender love story set in a snowed-in environment, filled with warmth, gentle protectiveness, and just enough tension to keep you engaged.

Who knew that leaving a conference to beat out a terrible storm would leave Ronan stranded in a broke down car. Bear shifter Nix answers his phone and hears a guy asking for help with his car, before the line went dead. Driving into the storm to rescue a stranger isn’t something Nix would normally do but maybe fate has a hand in bringing the two together.
Sweet heat. Adorable couple who struggle with real life issues in long distance relationship, supportive parents and a very welcome baby!.

Such a sweet and beautiful story of mates finding each other through fate. One wrong dialed phone number is all it took. I'm enjoying this series...with all the fated matches by chance. Nix felt the pull from the start with Ronan's phone call and just couldn't help but go and assist the frantic man. Their story was so sweet...hardly no angst but a lot of comfort. This was truly a wonderful romance which will keep you engaged from start to end. The ending was a delight...loved their HEA.
