He offers to fix the damage to Graham’s car free of charge. The sparks soon fly, and the heat between them has nothing to do with welding equipment.

Breaking the Marine
By M.K. Elliott

Landscapes
By K D Grace

Alonso Darlington has a disturbing method of keeping landscaper, Reese Chambers, both safe from and oblivious to his dangerous lust for the man. Richie’s sunk all his hopes and savings into a new restaurant in south London promoting British ingredients and recipes. His best friends Craig and Ben should be around to help him celebrate the grand opening, but it looks like it’s all heading for disaster - until his friends step in to tell him some home truths. E2

Locked Out
By Josephine Myles

Getting accidentally locked out of his hotel room on Valentine's Day night is embarrassing enough for teacher Martin Cooper, but the fact he's stark naked makes it even worse. Now if only Martin could get the hang of this seduction business...

Until 2010, Ashe was a director of a regeneration company before deciding there had to be more to life and leaving to pursue a lifetime goal of self-employment.

Ashe has been an avid reader of erotic romance for many years—historical, contemporary, fantasy—you name it. Now, at last in control of her own time and working from her home in rural West Yorkshire, she has been able to realise her dream of writing sexy and compelling stories herself.

She draws on settings and anecdotes from her previous and current experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters, but her stories of love, challenge, resilience and compassion are the conjurings of her own imagination. She loves to craft strong, enigmatic men and bright, sassy women to give them a hard time—in every sense of the word.

When she’s not writing, Ashe’s time is monopolised by her role as grandma to a lively toddler. She shares her writing space with a tortoise called Teefer.

M/M Romance + Brit speak = SWOON! I'm a noted Anglophile and a huge fan of gay romance so putting both of these into a giant anthology is a dream-come-true, for me. This 8-novella compilation is mainly contemporary romance, but has a couple curve-balls, too.

All the books have sex on the page, and it is totally steamy. Below are some quick reviews of each story. Beware: There's a whole lotta manlove going on, and I adored every word of it.

Contemporary Boy on Boy:
Bodywork by Ashe Barker puts Graham in the path of Alex, quite literally. A fender-bender links these two lonely men with each other in a way that transcends the accidental. Of course, secrets from the past creep in, but love wins out...eventually.

Breaking The Marine by MK Elliott is a military romance. Brandon enlists in the Marines to escape an empty life heading for prison. He meets a random stranger, Will, the night before boot camp, and their tryst is hot and quick--with no plan to re-engage. Unfortunately, Drill Instructor Will Stewart wasn't prepared to have Brandon in his service. The tension is high, and the passion simmers as these two continue clandestine relations. Going Commando was never so hot.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse matches rising star Theo Samuels with a cast extra, Eddie. Problem? Theo is closeted, and he can't imagine a relationship with the demands of his acting schedule. Eddie's younger and not out, either. Plus, he's essentially jobless and not sure of his career path. There's a bit of kerfuffle regarding the state of attraction, but the end result is bliss.

Locked Out by Josephine Myles puts a timid kindergarten teacher in the role of aggressor. Martin spends his Valentine's consoling his sister--after her dramatic break-up--at a posh hotel. Drunk and needing the facilities, he finds himself naked and locked out of his hotel room in the middle of the night. Rod greets Martin with humor, and interest. Martin, ashamed to have never even had a single one-nighter, employs his sister's advice, finding that Rod is all too happy to have a dominant lover. The encounter stayed with Martin, even if he ducked away without a trace. Imagine his surprise finding Rod is new to their town, and eager to renew their...acquaintance.

Contemporary Boy On BOYS....
The Chase by Lily Harlem features a couple--Steve and Robert--who are only just reconciling, on the scavenger hunt for Carrick, an up-and-coming comedian who has expressed an interest in a menage meet-up. While Steve and Robert seek clues in the bitter cold, they reconnect. And the eventual tryst is wet and wild.

Dish of the Day by Clare London matches three best friends into a new menage romance. Richie's worked his way from line cook to head chef. On the night of his first opening as a restauranteur everything goes amiss. Busted crockery, drunken sous chefs, thieving employees...Richie's two steps from mental when his college mates, Craig and Ben arrive. Their confession--that the opening isn't going off--is the last thing Richie wants to hear. Good thing they're prepared to ease his mind, and body, in the most delicious way.

For those who love something different:
E2 by Sarah Masters is a sci-fi post-apocalytic romance featuring Dan and Archie. The Change has wrought devastation on London, a fate Archie escaped only by having called in sick to work the day the stones fell from the sky. Still, he's lonely and all his family was killed in the destruction, or so he thinks. A chance encounter with Dan, a refugee from The Other Side, leaves Archie with more questions than answers, and the knowledge of a governmental plot to determine the root of homosexuality.

Landscapes by KD Grace is a paranormal romance that features an interesting triad--between Alonzo, Reese and Talia. I really enjoyed the interplay between the dream-state and the reality. And, though Reese had every reason to be angry with Alonzo's machinations, I was glad they resolved their quarrel.

Well wasn’t this a real treat! Eight Authors all new to us and didn’t they make quite the impression. We enjoyed every single story in this Anthology; some more than others, and honestly can’t say that we’ve ever had such a diverse range of heroes; professions and storylines. It was brilliantly British and fabulously addictive not to mention HOT! The stories packed a real punch and we came to care for all the characters in a very short time. This Anthology rocked and we can highly recommend it to lovers of MM and readers wanting to give it a go!

Bodywork By Ashe Barker

A mechanic, Alex and interior decorator, Graham; one posh one not so much. A ‘metal meets metal’ meeting that turns into so much more. Quite emotional and very sexy! Brilliant writing with a bit of tough man angst and jealousy. Really enjoyed this story!

Breaking the Marine By M.K. Elliott

We’ve got the lush Brandon having a last one night – pub car park – stand before enrolling in the Marines as a way of changing his life. It was supposed to be nameless stranger so imagine his surprise when it turns out to be his Drill Instructor, Corporal Will Stewart. YUM! Stealthy late night hook-ups and baring of pasts made for an emotional and very sexy story! Loved it.

Love on Location By Lucy Felthouse

This one was both sweet and sexy. Theo is on set of his latest filming when he falls for the local lad Eddie. This causes issues as Theo hides his sexuality. Theirs is a proper country love affair and Eddie was so damn lovable. We totally pictured Prince Harry here. Really enjoyed this one. Short and sweet.

Landscapes By K D Grace

Oooh paranormal man loving. LOVED this one. Reese the gorgeous rugged landscaper falls under the spell of the intriguing enigmatic Alonso, as did we; he was lush and quite wicked. Landscapes was a pretty powerful story considering the length and we were enthralled whilst our pulses were racing.

The Chase By Lily Harlem

Loved that this story took place in a Comedy Club. Two men walked into a club and propositioned the bartender…hang on no that’s a joke and this story certainly wasn’t. It was quite sweet, funny and very hot as two plus one makes three after a naughty scavenger hunt but only for a night then three becomes two. Steve our sweet bartender and his ex, Robert seems to be circling each other unsure why they ever parted romantic ways despite Robert being a constant bar prop when Steve’s working the bar. Carrick is the travelling hot and funny comedian who turns the heads of both men. Really enjoyed this one.

Dish of the Day By Clare London

What do you get when one self-less and low self-esteemed chef receives a taster menu of sexy food-gasms from his two best mates who’ve finally decided to take charge of an inevitable situation? You get Dish of the Day and bloody hell did we devour this one! Richie our soon to be restauranteur is a worry head who hates the thought of being a burden and a user. He’s there for everyone else but refuses to ask for help from Craig and Ben, his best mates. Well; they’re not having it anymore instead they’re having Richie…in his restaurant with a sexy accompaniment of food. The kitchen got hot; as did we enjoying this sweet and passionate lush-ness.

E2 By Sarah Masters

London is not the London we know. It’s been split for a government initiated experiment. It’s all a bit sci-fi which isn’t something we normally read but we enjoyed this story as it was quite thought provoking and not in a good way. Big Brother strikes his ugly head and it’s quite scary. In amidst this change two blokes one from either side meet; one on a mission – one clueless to the situation and they have an instant connection. Because of circumstance or would they have had this insta soul mate thing if London was as is? Who knows but Archie and Dan’s story was quite a page turner.

Locked Out By Josephine Myles

Oooh we love a good teacher romance. There’s something about the geeky dudes that melts our hearts and makes us swoon! Locked Out was funny, sweet and yummy and we enjoyed this fab well written shortie! Martin and and errr Rod hahahaha were definitely meant to be. They meet at a Spa of all places under a funny circumstance and the supposedly sexy first night stand comes back to bite them in the bum and weren’t they just adorable! Really enjoyed this one!

I used to not like anthologies - until I realised they were a great way to try new authors. The Goodreads MM groups free DRitC events were a wonderful revelation to me - I was able to dip my toe in this amazing genre and find authors I liked. Now I've built up a great group of like-minded readers and friends, but way back then I had no idea about any of these amazing authors.

Since then I have loved anthologies and the exposure they give me to new-to-me authors. This selection was no let-down. I have previously read some of these writers and some were completely new. It was great to read such a variety of work. Covering contemporary to futuristic/sci-fi to fantasy and friends to lovers, threesomes, royal marines and some plain old kinky nooky - this compilation is a great bundle of reads, pretty much guaranteed to make your heart beat faster and your nether regions tingle. And sometimes that's all I need from a book.

My personal favourites were;
Dish of the Day by Clare London - friends to hot 'n' kinky. Yes please. Excellent use of food if I do say so.
Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse - hmmm, can't put my finger quite on why, but this really, really worked for me. It left me with a silly grin on my face.
and
Locked Out by Josephine Myles - the one author I knew I liked before starting reading this anthology, Josephine Myles does not disappoint. With her trademark snappy sense of humour and some great sexy times this story was just yum.

Although these three stood out for me, all the stories were fantabulous.

Mixed bag of stories like most anthologies, a couple of menage (m/m/m, Yum), a paranormal (that had a small bit of m/f, she was a conduit) - no stinkin' billionaires (Yay!).

Favorites were:
Bodywork by By Ashe Barker ~ Alex literally crashes into Graham.

Locked Out by By Josephine Myles - Teacher Martin pretends to be someone else when he has a chance with hot guy Rod, and the joke is on him.

Mentions:
The Chase by By Lily Harlem ~ Exes hunt their way back to each other with a little help from a friend.

Dish of the Day by By Clare London ~ Richie is going a bit crazy trying to open his dream restaurant and his long-time friends Craig and Ben take him into hand and they have a delicious rendezvous.

And Brit-speak!

Fantastic collection of stories staring mechanics, marines, actors, gardeners .... I could go on..

I love reading books set in Britain and these are no exception. There is a range of genres on offer and even though I am not a mega Paranormal fan I have to say my favourite story of the collection is Landscapes by KD Grace. The other stories are all brilliant especially Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse and The Chase by Lily Harlem (both of these ladies write cracking stories in allsorts of genres).

If you have not read any works by any of these ladies it is a great place to start.

I received a copy of this collection in exchange for an honest review.

A fantastic anthology, full of "Brit speak" and quaintness.

Bodywork by Ashe Barker, reviewed by Lena Grey
Alex, of 'Bodywork' by Ashe Barker, is on his way to attend a mandatory traffic class when he decides to stop at the supermarket. Since he's in a rush, he isn't paying proper attention and runs into another man's car. The accident isn't a good thing, but the handsome man, named Graham, whose car Alex wrecked, definitely is. Since he is a mechanic, he offers to fix the car and Graham accepts. The next day, when Graham brings around the car, they settle into some steamy, yet emotional sexual intimacy which leaves them both feeling more than they normally feel for another man. But then a misunderstanding leads Alex to believe Graham has been lying to him, and it looks as if everything will fall apart.

This is a very emotional story showing what can happen when one is not honest with someone with whom they are in a relationship with. It's very well-written and I loved the secondary characters; they added so much substance to the story making it even more interesting. Had Graham told Alex the truth to begin with, all of the angst and pain of separation they felt never would have happened. Graham's actions showed his insecurity and seemed like a lack of trust which Alex knew he didn't deserve, but Alex's quick temper; his jumping to conclusions and not letting him explain only added to the misunderstanding. Thanks, Ashe, for the passionate, angsty story and for the happy ending.

Breaking the Marine by MK Elliott, reviewed by Christy Duke
Brandon's only chance of escaping his impoverished upbringing in East London, and avoiding the fate of most people he knows, is enlisting in the Royal Marines Commando School. His last night of freedom, before he discovers whether he can handle taking orders, finds him having a pint in a pub and hooking up with a guy in the car park. Good way to blow off steam.

Unfortunately, when Brandon shows up at the training center the following morning, his drill instructor is none other than Will, the guy who gave him a blow job the night before. Uh. Oh. Will isn't any happier, and can't believe this is happening to him. Will is new at this facility, or he would've recognized Brandon from his entry tests. Now the two of them will have to figure out how to make this professional relationship work, while their undeniable physical attraction simmers, and becomes more.

A very sexy read involving Men in Uniform. Honestly? A lovely fantasy. Thank you, MK.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse, reviewed by Christy Duke
A small, quaint village in the English countryside, an up-and-coming actor hiding his sexuality, and a local man just discovering his. What can happen when these two fall in love? That's just the story which Lucy Felthouse has written in 'Love on Location'. Theo is the Londoner, and Eddie is the local man. Falling in love in front of cameras is rarely easy, but even less so when your closets are threatened.

I liked how the author found a solution for Theo and Eddie to continue their love story past Theo's time on location. This was a sweet story, with a very nice happy ever after. Thank you, Lucy.

Landscapes by KD Grace, reviewed by Serena Yates
In a departure from the style and tone of the other stories of this anthology, 'Landscapes' doesn’t only contain bisexual characters (and some explicit descriptions of what the men get up to with the female succubus in the early pages of the story), it is also decidedly not a fluffy romance. In fact, it is not a love story either; the closest I can come to describing it is as "highly erotic with questionable morals". It is also an interesting paranormal tale that mixes sensuality and an array of all the senses with the sheer brutality and ruthlessness of a vampire's existence.

Alonso is that vampire, and he takes no prisoners. When his desires collide with Reese's, who is human, Alonso's overpowering and heavy-handed approach pushes aside everything that is right and wrong as Reese sees it, and disaster ensues. However, there is an undeniable connection between the men. Neither can deal with staying away from the other but it is up to Reese to deal with his own reactions to the catastrophe of Alonso's revelations and the truth of what he has done to get close to Reese.

If you like stories outside the traditional boundaries of romance and don’t mind some nonconsensual activities and one main character's rather inconsiderate use of others to achieve his goals, if vampires in all their brutality and thirst for blood appeal to you, and if you're looking for a read that is sensual yet brutal, then you might like this short story.

The Chase by Lily Harlem, reviewed by Serena Yates
Threesomes come is all shapes and sizes, and this one has a special flavor. Steve and Robert are best friends hanging out in a bar, watching stand-up comedian Garrick dazzle the audience. As they talk, it becomes clear they both fancy the comedian, which made me wonder who would end up with him. Steve thinks he isn't interesting enough and Robert seems to believe he can charm Garrick into his bed. Then it emerges Steve used to be Robert's sub before life got in the way—and suddenly things get interesting. The late-night treasure hunt through Cardiff that Garrick sets up for the two newly-decided-to-maybe-try-it-again lovers is cute, and leads to more than one sexy interlude while they try to figure out the clues.

If you like couples getting back together, if two men fantasizing about the same third guy sound interesting, and if you're looking for an entertaining read with some very hot action, then you will probably like this short story.

Dish of the Day by Clare London, reviewed by Lena Grey
Richie, of 'Dish of the Day' by Clare London, has always supported his friends Craig and Ben through all kinds of issues in their lives, but he's never asked for help from them. They are both well off financially and have offered him assistance several times. Richie doesn't want to take advantage of their friendships and keeps rejecting their offers, never realizing that this hurts their feelings. Richie considers himself inferior to them because his ambitions run in a different direction. They are both so rich, handsome, and secure that he's not even sure why they bother with him at all. He's merely a chef, struggling along.

When Richie decides to open a restaurant, his friends are enthusiastic and, again, offer him their financial assistance. Again, Richie turns them down. Richie wants to prove that he can be successful like his two friends. Unfortunately, one by one, things happen which seem to point to disaster instead of success. He's short staffed, there are accidents in the kitchen, even the flowers are wilting! Richie keeps trying to be optimistic, attempting to come up with alternate plans, but finally admits to himself, that the night can't be salvaged. When Ben finally arrives, Richie is in pieces, bemoaning the day he ever thought that he could actually manage a restaurant to begin with. Ben comforts him, of course, but chastises Richie for getting in such a state and not letting him help. Craig is the next to arrive, looking smashing as always. Even with both men offering Ritchie comfort, he is completely humiliated by his apparent failure compared to his friend's successes. Then they show Richie how they want things to be from now on, in one of the hottest dining experiences ever.

This story was an amazingly sensual reading experience which also reminded me that everyone needs help sometimes and that denying someone's help is denying them an opportunity to be closer to you. I loved the characters who were all described succinctly, but clearly. I felt Ben and Craig's frustration from Richie's constant denials. I understood Richie's reticence to accept their help and the inferiority he felt in comparison to his friends, but I was also a bit frustrated about his refusal to accept their assistance. The ending was exquisitely described in an extremely satisfying manner. In other words, it was HOT! Thanks, Clare, for making my heart beat faster and my breathing harder.

Locked Out by Josephine Myles, reviewed by Christy Duke
Totally fell in love with this contribution by a favorite author of mine. Martin is absolutely adorable as a shy primary school teacher, who stinks at seduction and is clueless when it comes to flirting. Rod, as the super hot guy in a Speedo, no less, is equally charming, especially when he finds Martin, naked, in the hotel hallway, in the middle of the night.

Martin uses his sister’s suggestion of a creating a "story" about what he does, in order to gain confidence and sound more interesting. Unfortunately, after his first ever one-night stand, Martin would like to see more of Rod, so he can get past his white lie. Well, who would've imagined the way the author put them back in touch. So to speak?

Wonderful short story! Thank you, Josephine.

E2 gy Sarah Masters, reviewed by Lena Grey
Archie, of 'E2' by Sarah Masters, goes along with his daily life, trying not to question why things are the way they are, after the disaster which split London into two. The side Archie lives on is pretty much the same as before, but the other side of the river looks decimated, disease ridden, and dangerous. No one would ever want to go over there. Would they? That's what the government tells them through constant propaganda. Archie's fear is not negated by his growing curiosity, that is, until Archie meets Dan, a citizen of the other side. Dan swims through the murky waters of the river that divides them, just to meet Archie and prepare him for the near future.

At first Archie is afraid, but as he gets to know Dan, he begins to realize that many of his concerns about his life are confirmed. Archie gets caught up in a maelstrom of doubts and confusion as Dan explains that their lives and everything around them are part of a huge experiment by the governments of the world on Earth One. Dan explains that when the experiment began, Archie was on the wrong side of the river and he has been sent to fetch him and get him over to the proper side. It's a big leap of faith for Archie to deny all he's being told and go with Dan. Archie is frightened but he and Dan have established a rapport. Archie trusts Dan, in fact, he's beginning to have deep feelings for him in spite of all the uncertainty. They have what they fear may be their one and only night together and make the most of it which brings them even closer. A threat even bigger than going to the other side is the fact that their memories will be wiped clean, meaning that, even if they meet again on Earth One, they won't remember what they've shared.

This is a complex story with lots of layers: the love story between Dan and Archie, the experiment and all it involves, and the conflict the propaganda causes for both men. It's well-written and has a lot of substance and emotion for such a short story. I liked both of the characters and felt their affinity. I was really hoping that, after finding their soul mates, they would find a way to stay together. Thanks, Sarah, for a thought provoking story.

Bodywork by Ashe Barker–-4 stars

Only a few points from having his driving license yanked from him, Alex does not need any more problems with, in, or near his truck. So of course, on his way to a mandated Speed Awareness class, he backs up into Graham’s car. Luckily Alex owns a repair shop and is able to convince Graham to have his car repaired on the down-low…free of charge. But what should have just been a quick patch-up job leads to heated kisses and quite a few late night working on each other’s bodies.

It took me a few pages to get into the swing of this story, mostly due to the fact that I had trouble wrangling my brain into a more British mindset. But once Alex and Graham got together I was pretty much set. There was a lot of sex going on here, and the relationship did move at lightning pace (they’d known each other for less than a week before they exchanged keys), so I did have trouble sometimes buying the ‘love’ between them. I guess I just wanted to have the relationship built up a bit more before they barreled full gear into love and cohabitation, and because the groundwork wasn’t really there I had mixed feelings about the whole ‘Big Misunderstanding’ near the end. I mean, no wonder it went so far off the rails so quickly…they barely even know each other! Still I did enjoy the story, so it clearly wasn’t that horrible.

Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliott–-3.5 stars

As he sees it, Brandon has two choices: let himself get drawn deeper into the local gangs (and resign himself to a life in and out of jail) or sign up for the Royal Marines. Despite the fact he has no clue how he is going to survive in the straitlaced Marines, Brandon prefers it to a life of crime.
This was his escape. It might not be perfect, and he knew he was going to struggle taking orders, but he couldn’t see any other way to make something decent out of himself.

On his last night as a free man, he takes himself off to a local pub and ends up meeting Will. Will, who is older, hotter, and just about everything he could ask out of a one-night–-ok, more like 20-minutes-if-he-was-lucky stand. Only problem is when he wakes up the next morning and finds that Will of the back alley blowjobs, is Corporal Will Stewart, Drill Instructor and pain in his ass (in more ways than one!).

Hunky Marines in a forbidden romance? Yes, please! Ok, the whole illegality of a Drill Instructor boning his recruit was a bit hard for me to handle, but I have to admit that it sure did make the rest of it rather hot. Sure, it wasn’t the best idea in the world, but it was also clearly something they were not going to be able to outrun, either. Plus with the 33 week timeline for this story, I was able to buy that something indeed had grown between them. Plus, I’m just a sucker for high-risk sex in very dangerous places…say like the showers in the recruits bunk?

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse–-3.75 stars

Theo is in Stoneydale to shoot at movie when he runs across part-time groundskeeper and sometimes extra in the film. What starts as a friendly walk around the local area to help Theo get in character, though, soon turns into something more. Too bad Theo isn’t–-can’t-–be out…no matter how much the local man gets his blood pumping or his heart jumping.

I kept expecting something big to drive a wedge between these two, but other than a brief spat of stupidity on both sides, this was rather more angst free than what I was expecting. That was probably a good thing, since low-angst is the name of the game this time of year. The story was good, and the sex seriously hot, so I enjoyed this.

Landscapes by K.D. Grace–-3.75 stars

Alonso Darlington is usually very good at keeping certain parts of his life separate, but when he sees Reese Chambers across the pub he is tempted to break all types of rules (though, at this point, there are very few of those left). But there is something about Reese that is dangerously tempting, and seeing as Alonso is rather well acquainted with thing that are dangerous, he should know.

So, for the most part I found I liked this. Alonso has nothing glittery about him, and that is rather refreshing. He has no deep moral dilemma about who and what he is, and I like that. However there’s rather more het sex in this than I normally like popping up in my m/m. It certainly had its place in the story, so I don’t mind too much, but still…not something I enjoy reading. Overall, I guess it was a good story though I had to get thru the beginning before I really started to enjoy it.

The Chase by Lily Harlem-–2.5 stars

Steve and Robert have been quits for about a year. But even if their Dom/sub relationship crashed and burned, their friendship actually stuck around. Now on a busy night at Jugglers, a Cardiff comedy shop that Steve bartends at, the two men are finding their sights set on the comedian on stage. But they don’t know if the man would want either of them…or maybe both.

I had a hard time feeling any real chemistry between these guys. Which is odd because threesomes and D/s relationships are something I love, both apart and together. But the connection between them never really got off the ground. Also, the editing here was a less than stellar. There were several sentences where the names Steve and Robert got swapped incorrectly, and other times where the words used made no sense at all (I have no idea if these words were some type of weird Welsh slang or just spelling errors, but either way…not clue at all what was meant to be said).

Dish of the Day by Clare London-–4.25 stars

Richie’s dinner is a disaster…which wouldn’t be the end of the world if that dinner didn’t also happen to be the very thing he’s serving in his new restaurant that opens in only a matter of hours. And it’s not only the food that seems to be off. Everything on his opening night is falling apart around Richie and he’s at his wits end trying to save what seems like an already sunk ship. Luckily he has a few friends of his sleeves.

This would probably have slightly higher rating if these guys would have nixed the food. I just have a weird thing about food and sex…that thing being that neither the twain shall meet. But seeing how this is a personal issues, I tried to minimize how it affected the rating. (Though if anyone had decided to use butter as lube there’s a chance I would have just run away screaming ‘ewewewewwwwww!’). Other than the food this was a great story. I love me a threesome, especially ones where friends decide that what they really need is each other. I will say that if anyone had pulled the stunt that Craig and Ben did on Richie, though, I would have given them a close a personal inspection with my shiny knives (but then again, I don’t do well with secret plans I’m told nothing about till it is too late anyways).

E2 By Sarah Masters-–3.5 stars

Ever since The Change six months ago, London has been divided between those on the other side of the Thames and those on Archie’s side. Archie’s side are the lucky ones, though. They are still normal, still relatively unharmed. But when Dan comes up from the river–-from the other side-–Archie’s preconceived notions about ‘safe’ and ‘normal’ are turned upside down.

This was never going to be a story that I really enjoyed. I just don’t like dystopian-esc, big-brother is controlling your every move, type stories. They drive me nuts, to be honest. From the get-go I had a really hard time buying the very premise of the story…and that made it very hard to actually enjoy reading it as I got deeper into the ‘truth.’ But if you like this type of story (or, hell, just don’t find them as annoying as I do) then you are probably going to love this. I just can’t. It’s well written and the characters are interesting, but the whole government control thing just doesn’t do anything for me at all.

Locked Out by Josephine Myles–-4.5 stars

When you are spending Valentine’s Day with your recently dumped sister, something is not going right in your life. When you get locked out of your room, stark naked, you pretty much have proof of it. But when Rod comes across the incredibly embarrassed (and under-dressed) Martin Cooper in the hallway of their hotel, things might just be looking up. Except for one tiny little detail…

Josephine Myles was pretty much the reason I first picked up this anthology. I love her stories and didn’t want to pass up the chance to read this short one. And I’m glad I did because this has to be my favorite story of the bunch. It was cute, it was funny, it was hot (if a tad embarrassing). And even if there is a bit of issue with Martin’s inability to keep to the truth, it never really got angsty, which as nice. Also, who knew I would find toe-sucking a turn on. Not me, that’s for sure.

This is probably going to be my last anthology for a while (thank god!) and overall I have to say it was a nice way to end my month-long run of anthologies. I always love a story set in Britain, and there was enough variety in these stories that I was never bored. Some of the stories might not have been to my own personal taste, but all of them were well written. And I have several authors I’ll now be checking out because of their stories. In the end, a nice anthology.

3.5 stars

Bodywork
By Ashe Baker

This is the first piece of work I have read by Ashe Baker and I was not disappointed. It was short and hot!!

Alex was in a hurry, he could not be late so when he runs into a car while backing out, he is beyond frustrated until he sees the man behind the wheel. The most gorgeous man he has ever seen, he was ready for words until he could not get them out. He could not get insurance involved so he offered to fix it himself. Alex owned his on body shop so this was do able just like he hoped Graham would be...

The next day when they saw each other again there was an instant flame going on between them. Things move fast between Alex and Graham. Alex is not sure if it's just sex between them but they want to try for more. Alex has a past that he is over but doesn't really talk about. Will it get in the way of their future?

This was a fast paced hot read. You also do get a lot of story for a novella. It's not just about these two but others as well. And it was awesome that I had the British accent going on in my head while reading making it extra hot.

Can't wait to read more of the box set.

Quotes:

He is fucking gorgeous. Jaw-dropping, absolute perfection. I'm not normally given to ogling other men outside supermarkets, but for him I'll make an exception.

"I don't mind your van, Alex. I don't mind it at all. In fact, I think I could get used to it."

"Cranky owner?"
"Yeah. Nice arse, though."

BREAKING THE MARINE
By M.K Elliott

This is also the first story by M.K Elliott that I have read and it was wonderful. Short, sexy and love a man in uniform let alone two!

Brandon was at a pub on his last night of freedom. He was starting training in the Royal Marines the next morning. He needed to a new start and knew this was what he needed to do. He wasn't young but strong and determined enough to do it. When he saw a man across the room and moved closer to him, he felt the heat.

When Will saw a man looking into his pint class across the pub he had to go to him. He was was not the type to have a quickie but there was something different about him. After a few minutes of talking things moved quickly and it got hot. When done and over with Will walked away and Brandon didn't think he would see him ever again...boy was he wrong.

Brandon and Will do see each other again as Corporal and Recruit. There is something there but neither of them can risk being caught. When things get complicated and hard to handle, can they make it work? Can a weekend of getting to know each other outside the barracks change things?

This novella was hot! Great story and hot Brit marines....yum!!

Quotes:

This was his escape. It might not be perfect, and he knew he was going to struggle taking orders, but he couldn't see any other way to make something decent out of himself.

"You disobeyed the rules, Recruit Rosen. You need to be punished."

The other's man mouth tasted like everything he'd ever hungered for, and be couldn't get enough.

I've noticed that it really is difficult to rate a combined book from different authors. There are a few stories in there that not appeal to me - there are others of which I'm an absolute fan.

I've got this book as an ARC from Lucy Felthouse - for Love on Location and I must say that this one falls in the lines of a 4 star. I really liked it. the story was believable, the conversations were good and the steamy part was, euh, hm...steamy and hot??
It's about a guy, Theo, who goes off to film in a small village. There he meets this obviously gorgeous guy Eddie. There are all kinds of things happening between them, which neither of them want to acknowledge at first. they could have saved their breath - because they are drawn to eachother. could a relationship between the two of them work? while he being an actor and the other he a local fellow? one way to find out... read all about it ;-)

A bunch of short stories from some of really good authors. Lucy Felthouse is one of my favorite m/m authors and she doesnt disappoint. All of the stories in this set are short and can be read quickly. I wish some were longer because I felt they was real potential for more history of the characters. All in All a entertaining box set and well worth the price

This was a fabulous compilation of a variety of short stories by 8 talented authors. They all had steamy hot scenes from M/M to M/M/M. I thought I was going to combust a few times…phew.

Even though I enjoyed each and everyone, and knowing these were short stories, they all ended too short. I became part of each character and wanted their story to continue. There were a few that I would love to see as a full-length novel. I know I would be the first in line if they were. Here’s a quick review of each one.

Bodywork By Ashe Barker

If interior decorator, Graham was to get into fender bender it was well worth it to have it with a mechanic, Alex. The two were sizzling right from the start. This story also had some emotional pull with a heart attack, and jealousy. Quite a few emotions were played with in this well-written short story.

Breaking the Marine By M.K. Elliott

Brandon thought his last night of freedom one-night stand with Will was perfect. That was, until the next day, Brandon realized Will is his Drill Instructor. How will these two hunky men get through basic training with the emotional and physical attraction to each other? That would be late-night sneaks and a weekend leave.

Love on Location By Lucy Felthouse

Frustrating that public opinion can hinder love. Theo is an actor on location and falls for a local, Eddie, helping on set. Theo has to keep his sexuality hidden to advance in his acting career. Eddie hasn’t come out to his parents. Will these two be able to live life as they want it or just be friends? This was sweet and lovable story.

Landscapes By K D Grace

This was one of my favorites. What happens when you combine a vampire, a succubus and a landscaper? One fantastic and holy hotness story! I was captured from the first paragraph with my heart racing, not knowing what was happening. Alonso was mysterious who lived in the dark. Reese was the gorgeous landscaper that Alonso cannot stop thinking about. Being honest and nonjudgmental wins out and love can be obtained.

The Chase By Lily Harlem

Knock, knock… even though the beginning of this takes place in a comedy club, it is the riddles that Carrick, the comedian leaves to be solved by Steve, the bartender and his ex, Robert that makes the fun in this story. The riddles leave the ex-couple on a road of finding themselves back together again and in the hotel with Carrick. How does 2 doms and 1 sub play together? Let’s just say, very well and very HOT.

Dish of the Day By Clare London

Loved, loved, loved this story! What’s on the menu for tonight? Richie, a chef/restaurant owner, never asks or accepts help from his 2 best friends, Ben and Craig, even though Richie is always there for them. When the 2 friends decide to stop Richie from not accepting help, they do in a way of creating orgasmic appetizer, main entree and of course, can never leave out dessert. What Richie doesn’t know is that he is the appetizer, main course and dessert all in one or should that be all for three? This story was steaming HOT, needing an industrialized fan to cool off and plenty of time to catch your breath before the next read. It definitely makes you think of food in a whole new sex-a-licious way.

E2 By Sarah Masters

Can two people fall in love in a matter of a few hours? In this Sci-fi, it seems possible. On Earth 2, a separate earth, London has been split into 2 sides and is controlled by the government with an experiment. Dan is from one side sent to the other to save Archie. The 2 fall in love within a few hours and are scared that their own self will die on Earth 1 or be sent back to Earth 1 and never meet. But could this all be just a dream?

Locked Out By Josephine Myles

Valentine’s Day….for single people can be treacherous….so can be locked out of your hotel room stark naked! But for Martin, it was a blessing to be locked out and only to run into Rod, the man in question between Martin and his sister (who was spending Valentine’s Day with her brother at a Spa/Hotel). Martin used one of his sister’s lying/acting techniques to swoon Rod into a one-night stand in which Martin has never had. 3 months later, the two run into each other at the pool where Martin took his 1st grade class for swimming lessons from Rod, who became an instructor there. Both men are sweet and real.

I was given Brit Boys: On Boys by Lucy Felthouse for an honest review

I love anthologies they are not only give you an introduction to authors you have never read before but they are always fun to read.

How I rate an anthology is by each individual story that I read rather than the whole book so you will see this book again with each review that I add.

The Chase by Lily Harlem

☆☆☆

Steve is a bartender who yearns for his ex-lover Robert who in turn still yearns for Steve. Then you add in Carrick the Comedian and you have threesome.

The Chase was one of the stories that was brought to my attention by someone else so I put on my next to read in Brit Boys: On Boys. I have another story that someone thought would be interesting that I will read next but first my review of The Chase.

I thought The Chase was okay except it seemed like there was something missing. Okay, yeah, Steve and Robert were seeing each other then drifted apart and then WHAM! They are getting back together as they chase down a mutual attraction they want to fuck together; it kind of makes no sense because I think the feelings are missing. All I sense is that they are horny and want sex real bad and most of those scenes were pretty hot.

I was a little worried when I found a few edits because with the three star rating I am giving this book the edits would really obliterate The Chase. Thankfully that is not the case as there are only a couple of typos where all that is needed is to remove a ‘t’. But I do have a question; when Robert and Steve go into the trees to relieve Steve of his hard-on who is actually giving the hand job? Because one in sentence Robert is touching Steve’s dick and in the next Steve is doing himself, making this sex scene the only one to skip over.

The Chase Blurb
Steve’s killing time working in a comedy club. Why not? It makes him laugh and both the clientele and the comedians are not just fit but also great company. One stand up joker decides to create a wild goose chase for Steve and his ex Robert. Cavorting around Cardiff on a frosty night, however, does more than just show them the way to a threesome, it also reveals the reasons why they should give each other one more shot.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse

☆☆☆☆

Love on Location is focused on how Theo fights his attraction to Eddie but cannot resist him even as he thinks it’s the best thing for both of them if they remain just friends. And when Theo pushes Eddie away, he can’t bare the hurt he caused the other man and tries to save their friendship and being honest. But as Eddie seems to be feeling the same those problems fall to the way side as they explore their mutual attraction even as the clock is ticking to then end with the broken hearts and all.

My favorite quote was actually a thought from the person that said but I really was thinking that it was a standout and want to add it even if it does have the potential to get me censored by those that I share reviews with and those that put ads on my page.

Fuckity-fuckity-fuck-fuck! Argh—don’t you know I’m trying to avoid you as I’m developing quite the crush on you, you insufferable man! –Theo

I thought this was a very sweet love story with a very hot bedroom scene, yum. Really that it was pretty awesome when Eddie found the solutions that saved them from parting. Great job Lucy Felthouse Love on Location is a well thought out and written short story and look forward to reading more of your work.

Love on Location Blurb
When Theo Samuels heads off to film on location in the village of Stoneydale, he’s expecting drama to take place on camera, not off. But when he meets gorgeous local lad, Eddie Henderson, he struggles to ignore his attraction. A relationship between the two of them would be utterly impractical, yet they’re drawn together nonetheless. Can they overcome the seemingly endless hurdles between them? Or is their fling destined to remain as just that?

This was an awesome collection of stories. My favorites were Bodywork by Ashe Barker and Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliott. These were the first two stories and they just sucked me right in! I enjoyed all of the stories in this collection, but the first two were my favorite.

Bodyworks by Ashe Barker was a great story. I loved Alex and Graham, but the supporting characters Roy and his granddaughter, Cassie were awesome and added to the story too. They were a family together and it showed how much Graham integrated into Alex’s life. I liked the angst this story brought out in me and the reasons behind it were something I did not expect at all.

Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliott was a super great story. It was one about not giving up, being true to yourself and following your heart, despite the societal pressures. I really liked these characters a lot. Elliott did a great job at portraying a love that had to be kept quiet, but was super supportive.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse was an OK story for me. I usually really enjoy Lucy’s writing, but this story had something missing from it. This could have been a great story, but there was just something about the characters and how quickly the story moved along that made me sit and think more about it – and not necessarily in a good way.

LANDSCAPES BY K.D. GRACE WAS NOT IN MY VERSION OF THIS ARC.

The Chase by Lily Harlem was a great story of finding love again with an old flame, but with a spicy twist. I think the one with the hottest scenes for me was The Chase. I enjoyed the story, but the sex scenes made the story for me, super-hot and steamy.

Dish of the Day by Clare London was a great story of friendship that becomes something much more. I liked the chaotic beginning and the sweet ending. I would love to read about their lives from back in college.

E2 by Sarah Masters was, unfortunately a story that I didn’t quite understand. I understood the premise and what she was trying to do, but it didn’t quite pan out for me. Despite its awkward delivery, the idea behind the story is an intriguing one.

Locked out by Josephine Myles was a great story of being true to yourself. I really enjoyed this story, despite the omissions of the truth that happened.

I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.

I have to say I really enjoyed this anthology of MM romances with varying degrees of eroticism. All the stories were really good, a rare occurrence with anthologies especially when you haven't read all the authors before. But I can honestly say that I will read from these authors again.

The book opens up with Bodywork By Ashe Barker. When Alex dings Graham's car in a supermarket car park because he's in a rush, his sedate life takes a very sexy turn when he agrees to do the body work on the car free of charge. Romance blooms between these two quickly but when someone from Graham's past turns up, a spanner is thrown into the works.

For me, Breaking the Marine By M.K. Elliott was the outstanding story of the anthology. Imagine having a one night stand with a stranger and then turning up the next day for your training in the Royal Marines only to find said stranger is your Drill Instructor. The chemistry between Brandon and Will was just off the charts and the sexual tension stayed throughout this story and kept me on edge, I couldn't put the story down and when it ended, I wanted more. Please MK, tell me that I will see more of these two in a longer story. Pretty, please.

The gentle unfolding of the romance between Theo and Eddie in Love on Location By Lucy Felthouse was sweet. It was nice to see how these two overcome their initial impressions of each other.

In Landscapes By K D Grace I found Alonso's seduction technique quite intriguing and I don't blame Reese for his reaction when he found out. But then again fans of vampire romance will enjoy this one.

I enjoyed the roundabout method in which Steve and his ex Robert got back together in The Chase By Lily Harlem. And the threesome scene was HOT.

Another book involving hot threesome but this time with best friend Craig and Ben who rescue Richie from a disastrous opening night is Dish of the Day By Clare London.

I have to admit that some of the sci-fi elements of E2 By Sarah Masters went over my head. I think it was too sci-fi heavy for such a short story and the romantic elements were eroded. Still an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed Locked Out By Josephine Myles because it had elements of a romantic comedy especially with Martin who seems to be the only gay guy with a non-existence sex life. A humorous and hot story.

Reviewed for Sarah & Kirsty's Book Reviews

8 sizzling books by 8 new authors (new to me anyway!) This anthology has something for everyone.

Bodywork - Super sexy mechanic and a hot interior designer. I loved the passion Alex and Graham had for each other from the start and how that passion settled into deeper feelings of love by the end.

Breaking the Marine - 2 hot men in uniform; one is a Corporal and one is a Marine recruit. I loved this book as it touched upon the military and I am a huge fan of books with this theme. I enjoyed the forbidden love plot, it kept me hooked as I was desperate to find out how it ends. Hot sex scenes and an enjoyable read.

Love on Location - I loved this book. It's my favourite of them all! I thought Theodore was hilarious with the way he spoke, like a typical londoner. Paired with Eddie, they could be a comedy act. I enjoyed the sex scenes, it wasn't overbearing like it can be in other books. I absolutely loved it.

Landscapes - I am not usually a fan of paranormal books of any kind but I really enjoyed this! I read it a few times to get my head around certain parts and found myself completely immersed each time.

The Chase - This book had me laughing from the beginning! It was great reading about Robert and Steve's attempt to find Carrick, whilst having a few intimate moments along the way. That last scene? Wow, it was hot!

Dish of the Day - Food and sex, what's not to love? This book is hot and I am not talking about the food. I loved that it was focused on one event and didn't jump around to different times and places.

E2 - I'll be honest, I have never read a book like this and I very nearly skipped it but I promised myself I would read them all. I am glad I carried on with it though as I really enjoyed it. A good story and I loved Dan and Archie - their chemistry was hot!

Locked Out - This was a wonderful romantic read. I loved Martin and Rod as they seemed to have a real spark between them. One of my favourites in this box set.

REVIEW

I read and reviewed 3 of the books in this boxed set all of the authors are new to me.

Bodywork by Ashe Barker

In this book we have Alex who owns a car repair body shop and that is a good thing
since he hits someone in the grocery store parking lot. Graham accepts Alex's reply of fixing his car
why not? Alex is one hot looking male.
If Alex had not been in such a hurry he would not have gotten himself into this mess.

Graham brings his car to Alex's shop and then needs a ride home. Things get all HOT and then some from that moment on.
Not badly written at all short and sexy !!

Breaking the Marine - M.K. Elliott

Brandon is a recruit 22 years old and is feeling like crap after a night of drinking. While in the club he meets an older man by the name of Will. Will tells Brandon he is also in training but doesn't exactly tell him what he does.

Will is a very dominate kind of guy and takes Brandon out back of the club and things get all kinds of hot between these two.

But later Brandon figures out just what it is Will does and things could not be worse.

Short and hot story here I enjoyed it.

Bodywork by Ashe Barker - 2 stars
I didn't like this (sexual feats -which I hate as a rule-, timeline error and a weak conflict based on miscommunication), but I don't rule out entirely the author, there's something in her writing that I find interesting and worthy to give her more chances.

Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliott - 3 stars
Nothing special to say. I liked it.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse - 2 stars
Three days to read this novella says it all. the conflict point is very weak and implausible in the present-day England

Landscapes by K D Grace  - DNF
A clear case of "it's me, not you".

The Chase by Lily Harlem - 1.5 star
The riddles were boring. I prefer trios in which all the members have their feelings invested and I didn't like Carrick's smarty attitude neither the speech artificially porny during sex, like "Come, my gorgeous little sub, come for your Master." or " Open up, sub. You know you want it", ugh. The best were the gags from Carrick's perfomance in the beginning, without them I would give it barely 1 star.

Dish of the Day by Clare London - 3.5 stars
I truly enjoyed this, especially how different they are and how they complement each other so good.

E2 by Sarah Masters - 2 stars
Dystopic Alternate Universe. A relatively original scheme although very inconsistent in scientific terms; I know that it's fiction but that's not to say that I admit nonsensical facts without any internal logic and without some kind of explanation.

Locked Out by Josephine Myles - 3.5 stars.
Cute light story, with a perfectly measured children touch and very likeable main characters.

Very mixed bunch of stories and writing styles.
Of course they are all well written romances with happy endings as you would expect from this group of reputable writers.
For bargain low price it is good value for money as just one or two of these stories alone is worth it .
My favourites are not those chosen by other reviewers but these are what I personally most enjoyed reading
and it is mostly down to the writing style more than the story content.
In no particular order because I can't choose between them my favourites:
1.. The very last story Locked Out by J Myles had me laughing out loud in many places, in a good way. It is told in first person. When I'm not reading smut I read a lot of kids and YA books in a similar style. I will be looking for more by this author.

2.. E2 by Sarah Masters. I do like SciFi and was very interested in the world and ideas in this story.

3.. The Chase by Lily Harlem, a good story with good characters.

4.. Breaking the Machine by MK Elliott - this was great and I really hope the author fleshes it out to publish as a longer novella or novel. I would have liked a lot more detail about how things went on through the weeks of training or about the weekend together. It was very similar to Cat Grant's The Only One Series and I'm happy to read a lot more like that.

Loved reading about places I knew!!! Being an English lass reading m/m books means lots of american books. But this gave me a taste of home.
A few books that I was glad I didn't pay for. But some I wish were longer and parts of series.
A great mix of themes too.

Brit Boys: On boys is an anthology where the leading topic is that all the main characters are British (yes, that sexy British accent). It comprises eight very different but utterly enjoyable stories. I’ll briefly review them one by one:
Bodywork by Ashe Barker: When Alex Findlay decides to drop at the supermarket for an early shopping, he expects to avoid the rush of customers of later hours; he does not expect to have the most unlikely accident ever (in an empty car park!) and find the man who is going to change his life. Graham Parr is everything he likes in a man, and their relationship seems designed to last. But Graham keeps secrets, and Alex’s hot head nature threatens to destroy their blooming romance. Is there a second chance for them?
I loved this one. It is very well written, both main characters are likeable, and there are plenty of secondary characters which make the story lively and interesting. Albeit a short story, the feeling is one of wholeness, the story is perfectly rounded, although I would love to know more about these two… 4.5 Stars
Breaking the Marine by M.K. Elliot tells us about Brandon Ronsen, who decides to make a change in his life to avoid the grim expectations young men face in his neighbourhood. Joining the Royal Marines seemed a good idea… Until he discovers the guy who he had a hot sexual encounter the previous night is his Drill Instructor Corporal Will Stewart. How is he going to survive the hard instruction under his command? Will there be payback? Will Brandon get over his attraction toward the sexy corporal?
Wow! This was a sexy one. Both Brandon and Will are really alpha males, sexy and stubborn. They both have issues which threaten to keep them apart. There is secrecy, a bit of anguish, lots of hot sex and a happy end. What else do you need? 4.5 Stars

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse introduces us to Theo Samuels, a young and successful actor who is closeted because of his agent’s advice. Theo is focused on his career, so being closeted is not a problem until he meets young gardener Eddie Henderson when filming at Stoneydale. They share a brief romance which is doomed to end… Or is there a chance for their relationship?
This is a very sweet story. Both Theo and Eddie behave like drama queens sometimes. They are passionate and their relationship feels like a roller coaster from the beginning. There is a bit of distress and a HEA. 4 stars.

Landscapes by K D Grace. The supernatural genre is presented in the anthology by this story. Alonso Darlington is an ancient vampire who uses the help of a succubus to gain access his hew landscaper, Reese Chambers. Alonso falls completely for the young man, but when Reese finds out the method used by Alonso to get to him he feels cheated and abused, and breaks his relationship with him. Alonso is in despair, not knowing if the bond he feels is strong enough to bring his lover back…
Again, a really sexy story. I confess I was a bit lost at the beginning, but as soon as I got into the story I really enjoyed it. Another story about forgiveness and second chances. 4 stars.

The Chase by Lily Harlem: Steve does not remember why his relationship with Robert did not work. They are still friends and spend a lot of time together. He still finds Robert sexy as hell, and they share many things… Including their attraction towards Carrick, the comedian who performs from time to time at the pub where Steve works, and who seems remote and impossible to conquer or… is he?
Another very sexy story, it tells us how Steve and Robert rekindle their relationship with the help of Carrick, who turns out to have an agenda of his own when he proposes the two men. Sexy and entertaining. 4 stars

Dish of the Day by Clare London. Richie, Craig and Ben have been friends from College. Richie has always felt awed by his friends, popular and wealthy Ben and larger-than-life, successful Craig. He knows he is lucky to be their friend, and does not want to impose himself on them. That means not accepting their freely offered help when he decides to open his own restaurant. The night of the grand opening everything seems to go wrong, so the last thing Richie needs is his two friends turning up to witness his failure. But his friends are here to prove him they can be not only supportive friends, but much, much more…
Wow! Another really sexy story. I confess I did not quite like Richie attitude at the beginning, but he kind of grows on you. As for Craig and Ben… Well, they are excellent friends. And even better loves. 4.5 stars

E2 by Sarah Masters, it’s a story about a dystopian society: in Earth 2, a perfect replica of Earth, different experiments are carried out in several places. Archie and Dan, two men, trapped against their will in these experiments, meet and fall in love under the gloomiest circumstances.
This was my less favourite of the stories. The story would benefit with some more explanation as what was going on. There are many things one has to imagine, and the whole story feels a bit rushed and disjoined. I cannot feel the chemistry between Archie and Dan. The premise is interesting though… 3.5 stars

Locked Out by Josephine Myles: Martin Cooper is not good at one night stands. That’s why when he finds himself naked with sexy Rod Howlet in his hotel’s room, he decides to follow his sister Michelle’s advice and make up a sexier personality which would give him self-assurance. The thing seems to work but when he meets Rod again some time later…How can he come true and keep any chance of making things work between them?
Oh, this was good. Martin is shy and cute and Rod seems so sure of himself and sexy. The two of them complement each other to a tee. Funny, sexy and utterly enjoyable. 4.5 stars
All in all, this is a great anthology. All the stories are high quality and a variety of subgenres are present. I think everyone can find something to their liking. Highly recommendable.

I was gifted Brit Boys: On Boys for an honest review. Eight short stories of M/M by British authors. Living state side, I found myself reading these characters with an acsent!! I must say, I do love some of the British terminology. If you're looking for some HOT M/M....this is a MUST!! All the authors that contributed to this set I had never previously read. I would gladly read future works from all of these authors!
Body Work - Alex never should have stopped at the store before getting to his driving class. If he wasn't in that parking lot, he never would've hit that car! Graham isn't worried about his car, that's what insurance is for; but Alex can't afford another driving mishap. Owning a shop that specializes in repairs, Alex does his best to make things right. Can Alex fix more than just metal?!

Breaking the Marine - Brandon is ready to turn his life around. Joining the service is the right move. A chance encounter in a dark alley was his last bit of fun before starting to train. Little did he realize his memories of Will would be constant.... seeing the man every day....because he was the Instructor!!

Love on Location - Theo can't seem to get into character for his newest role. He befriends Eddie, an extra on the set, who offers to show him around town. To repay the favor, Theo invites Eddie to visit his home in London when the work on the film is complete. Theo quickly has a change of heart on the invitation.

Landscapes - Alonso uses Talia to do his dirty work. Her job is to seduce Reese. When she has succeeded, Alonso is able to draw from her every intimate deal. He pulls Resse's scent from her body. How will Reese react when Alonso's powers are revealed?

The Chase - Steve misses the relationship he and Robert shared. Some how they managed to keep their friendship. Both men have a burning desire to be with comedian, Carrick. On a "come and find me" quest for one fantasy night with Carrick, Steve and Robert explore the idea of getting back together.

Dish of the Day - Richie, Ben, and Craig have been close friends. Richie finds himself without the support of his friends on the opening night of his restaurant. What Richie doesn't realize is his friends postponed the launch of the opening. These men have some christening to do first!!

E2 - A tragedy occurred that split the city. Major devastation took place on "the other side." Archie, had he not called in sick to work, would have perished that day. Looking across the river at the ruins, Archie sees a human swim to the surface. Dan is sent to collect Archie and return him to "the other side" , where they both belong!

Locked Out - Martain accompanies his sister Michelle on a Valentine's get away originally meant for her and her ex. They have fun using the spa and getting pampered. They even check out the hot guys at the pool. Having a little too much to drink, Martain loses his wits a bit. In his half asleep state, he finds himself not in the bathroom, but rather wondering the hotel's corridor...naked!!

If you're looking for a NASTY, STEAMY M/M read.....here are a few that are sure to please!

What a fantastic and very hot anthology! I thoroughly enjoyed every story, there was something for everyone.
Bodywork - An unfortunate accident leads to a very fortunate and sexy turn of events. A well thought out story with plenty of steam.
Breaking the Marine - Forbidden love, marines, hot sex, enough said.
Love on Location - Set against the backdrop of a stately home. An actor and a gardener explore their feelings, the surroundings and each other. Fantastic characters and a great story. One of my favourites in the collection.
Landscapes - Loved this story. Give me a vampire and I'm a happy girl and this is one sexy vampire with an unusual way of gaining information on potential lovers/food.
The Chase - This story is fantastic. It's funny, sizzling hot and features ménage. What more can you ask for?
Dish of the Day - I have two huge passions in life...sex and food. This story has both, together. Woohoo!
E2 - Wow! This story intrigued me from the start. The more I read, the more I adored it. I would really like to see this expanded on and made into a full story.
Locked Out - A lovely romance with real chemistry and speedos.
