The Scorpio Sons’ only enemy is the Guild. They loath and are physically repulsed by them. So how could the gentle, wheelchair-bound Cooper find Amy Hays, a daughter of the Guild, the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen? How could he go against orders and meet with her in secret? And how could he risk everything the Sons had worked for to be with her?
For Amy, abused from childhood, afraid to make even the most insignificant decisions in case they’re wrong, loving a genetically-engineered warrior clone could prove the worst mistake of her life.
As the deepest secrets that surround the Sons, the Résistance, and the mysterious head of the Guild are revealed, Cooper and Amy must find a way to heal each other and come together to save a world teetering on the edge of destruction.

Nhys Glover is an Australian born award-winning author of over 75 romance novels. She is known for blending heart, heat, and a touch of the extraordinary in her stories. From time-traveling lovers to soul-deep polyamory connections, her work explores love in all its transformational forms.
Now living in Durham County UK, Nhys draws on her background in teaching and spiritual inquiry for inspiration in her writing. As she sits at her desk, staring out at the windy moors, she often reflects on what it means to stay human in an increasingly digital world. It is, after all, the subject of her newest book, a non-fiction called Authenticity, as Taught by a Machine.
But no matter the genre, Nhys is always chasing one thing: the truth at the heart of every story.

Amy & Cooper

Amy Hays has been abused from child hood. She sneaks away from home to attend a faith healer meeting. Amy is trying to find an answer to her uneasiness with life. She finds the healer repulsive and slips out of the meeting. On the way out she meets the wheelchair bound Aussie Cooper. They go for coffee, and bond.

Excellent plotting & characterization.

First things first: I received an advanced copy of this book. Still, this is my honest review.

I really (and I stress the really) liked this story. It flows easily and keeps us interested.

Cooper and Amy are the epitome of star-crossed lovers. And, the Hero, physically challenged, is the opposite of the image that comes to mind by words such as 'engineered warrior'.
Then, their characters have layers even they didn't know about. And we get to join them in their journey of discovery and growth.

The world I knew I'd like -- I'd read the first 2 books, after all -- so no surprise there.

But surprised I was however. There's something in the plot that I didn't expect at all, even after 2 books. It strongly shows the commitment these people feel for their cause; which adds a new layer to the book and the series. (And there are a few other things there that raise the bar and make us wonder what the limit might be in the future.)

It's the 3rd book in the series but fresh and unexpected nevertheless.
Definitely recommend it.

Awesome

This truly is an awesome third book in the Scorpio Sons series. I have loved sweet Cooper from the start and Amy is perfect for him. I loved their chemistry and how this story just continues to evolve. I am really looking forward to hook 4 and what is going to happen next.

Delightfully dramatic. This book had heart. Great new characters and recurring characters from the other books in the series. Passionate and action filled.
