If he is to return home Peter must find and pay a dwarf of sufficient skill to remove Lucy’s curse. It doesn’t sound like it will be cheap though. Peter will also cross paths with a dwarven genius who may be able to help, but there is a thin line between genius and insanity. That is especially true for a dwarven boy obsessed with girls in a society as repressed as Nirvali.
Despite his experiences and talents, Peter is still a boy growing up. He is beginning to become a bit more aware of girls, but it isn’t just girls and puberty that he must come to terms with.
Please note that this series is unsuitable for young children mostly due to violent content and occasional (non explicit) references to matters of a romantic nature. There are also very rare generally innocent, but compromising situations.
I am an independent author in my thirties. I generally write at the same time as cycling... on my exercise bike. I don't recommend writing and cycling on the road though! I write as a hobby in my spare time, though I wrote my latest book (The Consequences of Trolling God) between jobs. It is a magic fantasy comedy with elements of litRPG. The main character is an internet troll who has to face life as a real flesh and blood troll in a world where monsters are hunted.
I am a supporter of the Open Rights Group in the UK, which campaigns against internet censorship and mass surveillance among other digital rights issues. As I am committed to digital rights I believe it would be hypocritical to use DRM so I have no intention of doing so.
There were some very interesting and exciting plot developments, as well as some very funny characters and character interactions. I really enjoyed this book and am now eager to read the next book. I hope it is out soon.
This is a very interesting series and at times very funny. This book was fun and the large battle in the first half was very exciting. The second half was a bit slower but still fun. This book definitely wasn't just about collecting more people. I'm looking forward to seeing where the next book takes the story.
The first half of this book explores the dwarf city and culture. I love some of the dwarfs because they are funny and interesting. Especially the dwarf genius pervert who is a huge contrast to Peter and had me laughing more than once. It is true that Peter appears less in the first half than in the second but he still appears a lot more than in the first half of the previous book.
The second half of this book continues and concludes the competition from the second book. There are a few more characters added to Peters club but not that many and the ones who are added seem really interesting. In this book Peters body may not change much but compared to the boy who in the first book would have been comfortable changing in front of a girl Peter has changed a lot.
I am looking forward to the next book which looks likely to focus more on the romantic interests which there are lots of. The one boy many girls probably appeals more to male readers than female readers of course.
Least enjoyable of the series, 50% less Peter, no progress or change in other 50%
The first half of this book seemed to be about everyone but Peter while with the Dwarves. The second half while involving Peter really felt empty of any progress or interesting events in the story line. Rin and Peter have almost no dialogue in this book and literally none of substance. Lucy and Peter have no real dialogue in this book, nothing changes, nothing is revealed. It's just a series of fights and collecting of members for the company. There are references to Peter starting to mature physically, but they don't lead anywhere other than cracking of his voice. You could read a synopsis explaining Peter's arms, the new members of the company, Peter's conversation with the Queen, the behaviors of the stars and have missed nothing of importance. .....as long as you called everything and everyone cute. :)
By far the weakest effort in this funny, interesting series.
