I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.
After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.
Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.
Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.
One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

Some Like it Secret is a modern day fairy tale.
Sebastian is the royal second son the spare to his brother being the heir. With his father’s death he has become the heir until his brother has a child. This brings a lot of responsibilities to his life thus limiting the time he can spend with the woman he loves. For five years they have carried on their affair in secret. Now Meredith is tired of being his dirty little secret and wants to end their relationship.
Both of these characters deserve each other. Sebastian is autocratic and not used to explaining himself. Meredith is smart but has let him get away with it for five years. I wanted to Gibbs smack both of them. But even so it was fun watching them both catch up.

Meredith is a strong willed woman she knows how to put her man in place, "I really don't think I want to be bare-a**ed nude when anyone on your staff comes in...and I thought we could eat downstairs. Maybe on the pretty patio..." Sebastian is a tender guy, loves his girl but sometimes he has to tell her what he doesn't like, "he squeezed her hand, tugged her forward, and pressed a firm kiss to her lips. "I don't like to be interrupted." I liked this book it was a fun read and it was nice to see a woman put a prince in his place.

I was ready for Sebastian’s story as soon as I finished reading Some Like It Scandalous (book 2 in the Going Royal series). Heather Long kept me waiting for five long months, but it was worth the wait. I loved everything about this story: the prince hero, the college professor heroine, the humor, the involvement of the family and friends to help get them to their happily ever after.
The story works as a standalone, so those unfamiliar with the series should have no trouble jumping in. The hero and heroine have five years of relationship history, but there is reminiscing that allows the reader to see how they met as well as other moments from the past. The placement of these memories in the story is perfect for both the flow of the book and for providing a basis for how these two very smart people manage to muck up true love for so long.

Here is the fourth story in the Going Royal Series. This is about the second son Sebastion who has had a five year affair with a woman no-one in his family knew about. Meredith has finaly had enough of seeing her man escorting other women to functions while she is left in the shadows of his life. Even when his life had been in danger and he was hurt she could not contact him. What she saw was him partying with several other women. She is finished with him and she lets him know it. Now he is scrambling to get her back. But with the attempts on his and his families lives he will have to tread lightly. Will she listen to him and give them another chance? Cant wait to read more by Heather Long. This is one story I will reread again.

Secret relationship.
I enjoyed this story a lot more than the previous book. This story is about Sebastian who has kept his relationship with Meredith a secret to keep her safe. However Meredith doesn't want the relationship to continue like that and changes have to happen if Sebastian wants to keep her. However with someone still trying to kill the family it starts to become dangerous. I liked the story and loved reading about them trying to work it out and loved the ending. Definitely a book I will recommend and read again. Xxx

I love this series
Another installment with the yummy Dagmar boys and their mates. I love how strong the women are and how their men love them. Bastian and Meredith make an unlikely but adorable couple. Assumptions and presumption almost doomed them, a five year secret affair that should have been made public long before. Loved how they eventually worked it out and was very happy to see Kate, who is my favorite make a significant appearance. Can't wait to read George's story

ohhhhh it's a good thing Sebastian wasn't in reach when I was reading this one....I'd have punched him!
yes I love Sebastian and once he decided to explain himself everything he'd said and done made sense but dang! getting there wasn't easy! I was on the edge of my seat and the emotional roller coaster the whole time....LOVED the ending but sorry it had to end!!

The 4th installment in this royal line
Love this series. Still have several royals left to read about. The next brother is pretty much a wild card. I look forward to his story. Each book is unique and fascinating. A bunch of fun reads.

Amazing!
I adored both of the MCs, and reading a story with such a brilliant female lead was absolutely delightful. Both MCs had so much depth to them and their personalities leapt off the page. Overall, an absolutely wonderful addition to the series.
