Celebrate the season with three holiday novellas by New York Times bestselling author Shannon Stacey, available together for the very first time!
Holiday Sparks Chloe Burke thinks upgrading the electrical system of her childhood home while her parents are away would make the perfect Christmas gift. Fortunately, there’s an electrician in town who can get the job done by the holidays. A little festive fun is just what she needs, but could their holiday fling turn out to be the real thing?
Mistletoe and Margaritas Claire Rutledge still believes in love, despite losing her husband. After two years, she’s not surprised by the steamy dreams telling her it might be time to start moving on. But she didn’t expect her friend Justin to have the starring role. When they both get caught up in the holiday spirits at a party, their simmering mutual attraction boils over into a night neither of them can forget.
Snowbound with the CEO Adrian Blackstone built a million-dollar business with hard work and determination—and by remaining professional at all times. Denying his longtime attraction to his beautiful executive assistant Rachel Carter hasn’t been easy but it’s necessary. She’s indispensable, and he can’t stand the thought of losing her if things didn’t work out. But then a wicked snowstorm leaves them stranded in a romantic winter wonderland...
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Shannon Stacey lives with her husband and two sons in New England, where her favorite activities are writing romance and really random tweets when she’s not riding her ATV. She loves mud, books, football & watching way too much TV.
Three stories in one book. This is the first time reading Shannon Stacey and I just loved the stories. I didn't even know I had it. I was looking around in my kindle and found it. I gave it 4 stars because each story is about 100 pages and not enough time to really get to know the characters. But the stories were great.
Very cute set of novellas for the holiday season. Characters are all very likeable, and the emotional beats are strong. I thought the first novella was the strongest and the last was the weakest, but they are all certainly worth reading while curled up on a chilly winter's eve with a hot beverage and perhaps a nearby crackling fire.
I was surprised to see this was put out by Carina, however, as the editing errors threw me out of the stories. They're minor nitpits, but still: have some pride in your work, people! When a car is in park, it's lower case "p," not capital "P." When a cat's tail startles you: you feel something furry, THEN you almost fall out of bed - not the other way around. Etc.
Still, if you are looking for something fun and light (although the second novella made me tear up and sniffle during a plane ride - sorry, stranger in the seat next to me!) and enjoyable to read during the holidays, this would hit the sweet spot.
Shannon Stacey never disappoints. These three Christmas stories full Christmas magic.
In HOLIDAY SPARKS, Chloe and Scott are adorable together. Their Christmas romance "sparked" by bad outdated electrical wiring is so good. The city girl versus the country boy is exciting to watch as the obstacles of distance can't compare to the reality of true love.
MISTLETOE AND MARGARITAS is one of those Christmas stories that make your heart flutter. Claire is a 28 year-old widow who falls in love with her husband's best friend, Justin. Justin has been in love with Claire for longing than he likes to admit. So, with he assistance of some mistletoe and a couple of margaritas they begin to explore a relationship. Of course, a little Christmas magic is needed for them to realize that being together is the only path to happiness.
I loved SNOWBOUND WITH THE CEO. Adrian, the CEO and not get along without his executive assistant Rachel. Rachel loves her job and guards it cautiously. Stuck in a storm the two are holed up in one of Adrian's resorts. In this more relaxed setting, Adrian and Rachel begin to react differently towards each other. Their weekend in the snow is romantic and steamy. However, because they never had conversations regarding their relationship back in their real world things get a bit confusing for them. Communication is key and they aren't doing it. It takes Christmas to bring these two together again.
There were a few too many Men Are From Mars Women Are From Venus jokes that we're all supposed to laugh knowingly about because aww how adorable boys will be boys right?? Ugh, I can't with that shit. So this author is not for me. Good to know.
