Reign isn’t looking for love. Not after everything she’s been through. She’s focused, guarded, and quick to shut down anything—or anyone—that threatens her peace.
Then Neil walks in with that smooth voice, confident stride, and a smirk that says he’s used to getting what he wants. And what he wants… is her.
What starts as a flirtation turns into something neither of them expected—deep, raw, and hot enough to burn through every wall Reign’s built. As nights grow longer, touches linger, and her guard begins to slip, she’s faced with a keep running from love—or surrender to the fire he lights in her.
Because Neil plays for keeps. And this time, he’s all in… if she’ll let him.
The writing in this one definitely leveled up. You can tell the author took her time and added more depth to the story. I loved how patient he was with the FMC—he saw her walls and didn’t rush a thing. When that threat came for her and her daughter? He handled it, no hesitation. I love a man who moves with intention and an author who keeps sharpening her pen with every book.
Okay Ms Nicole Monroe This second book book was light years better than the first. I’m glad I listened when they told me to keep going with the series. I guess it’s on to book three
Neil was straight pressure as an MMC. He was kind, patient, loving, willing to do whatever when it came to Reign and a beast in the bedroom! I love how he pursued Reign for as long as it took! Reign had been through so much in her past relationship that she didn't trust easy however Neil knocked down every single barrier. I love how Neil protected Reign at all costs! Neil easily became my favorite MMC from this series!
There are a lot of things that Neil will joke about, but none of them have anything to do with his relationship with Reign. Without hesitation or half stepping, Neil is crystal clear about his intentions with Reign. While her apprehension proves to be an obstacle, it’s not one that Neil is afraid of overcoming.
Now my good sis Reign, has been through the wringer. Marcus ain’t worth the gum on the bottom of a shoe, but is the other half of Iya’s parentage, he unfortunately poses a problem. His behavior towards Reign has created a deep pang of fear and frustration for her. While she sees that Neil is greatly different from Marcus, she is still fearful.
Neil ain’t no punk. You hear me? The moment he realizes the source of Reign’s trepidation, he makes it his duty to extinguish those fears. The start of their trust practices are a little unorthodox, but it works for them 😏😂. With time she sees the potential for something outside of just having a good time.
Neil’s tenderness towards Reign and Iya make him a fierce protector from day one.
A friggin Dom! This book was hilarious and freakier than I expected it to be. I thoroughly enjoyed the scene where Neil said "on second thought I already have you a warning bitch ass nigga" made me proud. We don't do third chances. I love how Neil loved Reign and Iya out loud, proud, and full of protectiveness. I love how Reign decided to try again, take her power back, and lean into love. Very admirable. The men in these books have no problem saying wild shit like "I will fuck you in front of all these people" 🤣☺️
Wow. Nicole Monroe really leveled up with this one. I enjoyed the first book, but If You’ll Let Me felt steamier, more intense, and so much deeper emotionally. You can truly see how much the author has grown between books. Her writing is more layered, the characters feel more lived-in, and the pacing is just perfect. This book took me on a total emotional roller coaster. From start to finish, I felt everything the characters were feeling. I felt like I was in the story, like a fly on the wall. That kind of emotional pull doesn’t happen by accident. Nicole didn’t just tell this love story, she made me feel like I was inside it. I got to see every piece of these characters, even the messy, vulnerable parts, and that’s what made the story hit so hard. If you liked the first one, you’ll love this.
Some men dont know treat women. It was sad to hear that a pregnant woman almost lost her and her baby lives behind a man who didn't care about anyone but himself. I was glad they both survived. Then she found a man who loved, protected, and cherished, plus helped her heal. It was a great book to see both of them heal each other and grow to become a loving family.
Haunted by inner turmoil, Reign wrestled with her personal struggles until Neil's unexpected arrival soothed her turbulent spirit, bringing a calm that washed away her deepest anxieties.
Reign, putting her attention on raising her Babygirl who was Blessed along with Reign to survive that awful ordeal which is Marcus. Her ex and baby's father. But a night out, a man not phased by her smart mouth, but actually turned on by it. Neil set out to have this woman who's peeked his interest and his loins. With the right amount of sexy, words to pique Reign's curiosity the desire between them brings them closer than expected. When I say Reign got more than just Neil. This woman got "Sir". I'll let you read to see how she was introduced his world but adjusted right into it. Neil promised to love and protect Reign and Iya. He did just that. It's cute and sexy when a man accepts the children involved and treats them as his own. Steamy Read, entirely!
