D. D. Story writes stories of romance and love. While D. D.‘s stories are for the most part of two women in love, her stories could be about a man and women in love or two men in love. For what it truly is, is a story about two people in love, and that dear reader is D. D. Story’s strong held belief of exactly what love is. Love is a feeling, one that you cannot explain, between two members of the human race. If you can explain it, then it is friendship.

D. D. Story has written numerous works of poetry and short stories involving romance and love between two women, her major works are the five full-length novels that comprise the Suzy & Katie series. Conceived during a time of turmoil and uncertainty in the author’s life, the story of Suzy & Katie simply flowed out of the author’s mind. There was never a pre-established plan for the series, and as D. D. has often stated, “She often didn’t know what was going to happen next, until the girls told her what to write.”

While D. D. wrote the story, almost as a therapy for herself, she has published these stories, purely for the pleasure of entertaining her readers. The series is classified as a Romantic Lesbian Love Story, but it could equally be classified as a Romantic Lesbian Fantasy. Author D. D. Story writes in a world that she wished existed. One filled with love, peace, and understanding, and not the world we have today, one filled with conflict, anger, miss-trust, and greed.
