Callum hasn’t time to take on a new sub for training. He has his BDSM club, Pure, to remodel and open on Friday. He certainly doesn’t have the time to train Lee in all the nuances of submission, even if Lee seems to be a natural.

But someone else wants him. Another Master who has no limits and doesn’t believe in safe words.

If Callum doesn’t wake up and accept the gift of Lee’s submission, someone else will take it – forcefully.

Bullets and Babies!

Victoria writes about guys loving other guys in between dodging bullets, kidnappers, and serial killers. She enjoys putting them through hell to get their happy ever after—it’s a character flaw she embraces.

She also believes that family is who you choose, that dogs are often much wiser than human beings, and that we’re steadily destroying the world we live in.

And if people read more books, they'd be much happier.

This is a really good book that could have been a great one had a few more details been added. While they didn't necessarily take away from my enjoyment of the story, I still wish they would have been there. Pure is extremely well-written and the sex scenes are some of the best I've read. Believe me, I've read a lot. *grin*

There are a couple of secondary characters I would love to see have their own story someday. Aside from the lack of details mentioned above, I totally enjoyed it. I am very eager to read more by this author.

Callum is a Dom who is the process of opening his own club. He is juggling a lot at one time. When he meets Lee, he is unsure he has the time to train Lee properly. Callum wants to protect Lee as well as get to know him better.

Lee is a submissive who has never been trained to be a submissive. He is a natural. He has had a rough childhood and is wary of those around him due to the abuse he suffered at his step-fathers hands.

The connection between Lee and Callum is intense. While the both seem to fight there attraction to each other, but they still end up together no matter how much the try to fight it. The sex scenes were scorching. I enjoyed seeing how both of them kept planning for the future.

I found this book well written with a distinctive plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were mesmerizing. At 120 pages, this book had a well-defined beginning, middle and ending. While the ending was a little predictable, the journey the book takes the reader is gripping with several unanticipated twists and turns. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very enchanting book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Not the genre of book I normally go for,but am so glad I did.Found myself rooting for the two main characters,(Callum and Lee),and could practically see them before me,such was the excellently descriptive writing.Found the character interaction to be touching, and found myself to be quite moved at certain points...all with the added bonus of a little 'heat'. Well done...a great book.

It was hard to put this book down! I love how this book unfolded. I found it easy to bond with these characters right away. Lee is vulnerable and a bit fragile and turns Callum's world upside down. At first Callum isn't sure if he wants to take on a Sub but he finds himself falling in love with the beautiful, sweet Lee. When Lee is in danger Callum does all he can to save Lee and to help him heal physically and mentally. This is a beautiful love story. Sequel? I hope so! I would love to see more of Callum and Lee's life unfold! Very highly recommend! I will be reading this again!

A review by The Blogger Girls.

Right off the bat, I was worried I was going to have trouble with this one. A much younger, damaged, almost completely inexperienced, sub and a club owning, older, Master Dom, don’t usually work very well for me. But, I stuck it out and was glad I did.

Callum, the Master Dom, has bought a somewhat shady club (Spanks) and is in the process of turning it into a new, classier and safer club (Pure). During the change over, he rescues Lee, who, after being thrown out by his abusive stepfather, takes the offer of a room in exchange for doing a scene with what turns out to be a sadistic psycho from the old club who claims to be a Dom.

Lee is in pretty rough shape, but Callum takes care of him, helps him heal, offers him a place to stay and eventually offers to train him. Callum has taken an instant liking to Lee, but he lays it out on the table that they cannot have a relationship. He instead agrees to a three-month contract where he will show Lee the ropes of being a sub so that he will be able to find a suitable dom.

Much of the BDSM in this is light, as Callum and Lee only really work on the basics. Lee’s injuries prevent them from doing any actual scenes, but Lee is eager to learn and please and quickly has Callum wrapped around his little finger. Lee shows how helpful he can be with the designing and decorating for the new club, and the two find they work pretty well together. Callum ends up giving Lee more and more say as time goes on, even to the point of giving him control over the new boutique being added at Lee’s suggestion (Indulgence).

There are a few bumps here and there as jealousy flares, but Callum is a bit bowled over by Lee. So much so, that he finds himself willing to give up the club entirely when circumstances force Lee to question his ability to be in that environment. It was a bit difficult at first to picture Callum, this big, in control Dom, basically fall for and turn into a puppy for Lee, but it really works in this situation. The two care for each other, and it shows in various ways.

This was a very easy read, and I think people a bit newer to the BDSM genre will absolutely love it. It was well written, with sexy and emotional scenes, action and excitement and some sweet and tender moments. I’m looking forward to seeing where this story goes next.

This was a pretty sweet romance that while successful in evoking affection for its characters, tried to do a bit too much too quickly. There were elements of a both a thriller involving a stalker, and some intense family drama, and both were resolved very quickly. I'm also not sure I ever fully understood Lee's draw to kink. This story involved his introduction to the D/S lifestyle, but as such, was very mild in its portrayal of kink. For a book involving a BDSM club, I had hoped for a bit more. Nevertheless, I did like the characters and found the romance believably sexy and intense, even if it too was a bit fast.

I somehow expected a bit more …it was bad but it also didn’t had me fully hooked (if I’m honest I skipped a few pages lol).
I probably will try to read book two of this series at some point and hope this will be a bit better.

It was fine, though not my favorite by Victoria. It had certain moments where nothing was happening and I couldn't help but wish the book moved faster, and others where everything was happening at once. It's more sexy than I'd like, though for many that wouldn't be a con.

4 Heart Review by Tidal

Callum has a great new club just about to open called “Pure”. Not just a club but a BDSM club. Before he can even get his club open, he has a situation to deal with. Lee, a submissive new to the scene, practically falls into his lap. It seems that the poor twink boy has bitten off a bit more than he could chew.

Lee has been abused and used badly; Callum made a difficult call and decides to take him home just for the night to make sure he was going to be ok. Callum practically has to carry the young man up to his apartment. He lets him rest and gives him something to eat. Lee is very appreciative but doesn’t want to take advantage of Callum’s generosity.

Callum takes the young man in and he puts him to work and gives him the opportunity to pull his weight and make his way. Callum employs Lee’s talents in redecorating the club, and lets him stay with him until he gets on his feet. He was definitely attracted to Lee and does not take advantage of his innocence.

Lee is twenty-one and thrown out of his abusive home. With just a few possessions he stays in a shelter, he wanted to check out the club and hoped he would find someone. What makes it nice is that he was not looking for someone to leech from, he is genuinely naive and wants to learn how to be a sub and be properly trained.

Callum is outraged that Lee has been treated so horribly in his first BDSM experience. He did not want to see him abused or be taken advantage of. He lets him stay with him without expectation, at first. Against his better judgment, he makes a contract to exchange training services for Lee’s professional decorating services and other necessary jobs to get the club opened and running smoothly.

Lee is an innocent guy and he has his pride and wants to make his way, Callum respects that in his character and helps him develop that as well as his confidence. There are good guys and bad guys. I like the drama and suspense. In the process, Lee also learns the value of discipline, trust, and mutual respect.

I like the characters in this story a lot. I have not read many BDSM books, but anyone who reads this book will get a clearer picture of what that Dom/Sub life is supposed to look like at its best. The book was not what I expected. The storytelling and the characters really seemed to get around some of the pre-conceived mistaken ideas about the BDSM community. I liked the pace of the story, it was never boring or seemed to drag.

Callum rescues from Lee from a man claiming to be a Dom, but is really just a sadist ass with no limits. Lee is innocent in the way of BDSM and was lured into a scene at the club with the wrong person. Lee may be innocent but he knows what he wants and Callum makes him feel safe. Callum also knows what he wants, but he has his own doubts and issues to deal with.

This story is told completely from Callum’s point of view, so there is not much of an inner knowledge of Lee. But I actually liked how Lee was seen through Callum’s eyes. To Callum, Lee is simply adorable, and I agreed. I loved Lee. He was a mix of young and innocent, with a backbone of steel when needed. When Callum tries to back away from a relationship with Lee, Lee pushes for what he wants in order to keep Callum.

I think this is a story that someone will either hate or love. It has BDSM elements, but not perhaps what one expects. I personally enjoyed the step back from the standard. I liked the relationship that Callum and Lee build throughout the story. The sex was hot, the writing was well done, and I was happy with the ending. It had all the elements needed to make a satisfied reader.

I would look forward to reading more from this author in the M/M genre. There seemed to be an opening for another book with a few of the secondary cast. I would definitely read them.

Pure by author Victoria Sue is a sweet, but intense BDSM romance. Callum is kinda a white knight in a dom outfit. He is starting his own club. He is really finding himself in the community when he breaks up a scene in his club. That moment changes everything for Callum.
Lee, he is a what I would call a twink, he is beautiful blonde hair blue eyed innocence. He really needs help, he has no place to stay, no real friends and now a Dom who wants to take things too far. He needs a teacher he needs Callum.
Callum takes in Lee. He tries to be noble and not take advantage but the heart wants what the heart wants. For both of them. Watching the patience, kindness, and love Callum has for Lee was just beautiful. There are some scenes of graphic violence in this book that are not suited for all readers. I felt they added to the book and brother it to another level. The ending is a bit rushed in this book, and a little too neat but the spirit and intent is just beautiful.

3.4 stars

This is my second book from Miss Sue. I like reading sweet, sappy MM romances and I've come to realize that she's one of the authors I can go to, to get my fix. Lol

Callum was suppose to be this big, bad dom but he was putty in Lee's hands. It was amusing to read his inner struggles of keeping Lee in arms length but sadly failing. He was sweet, protective and best of all, possessive.

Lee is sweet and needs a lot of loving because his parents are boobs. His mom basically abandons him and his stepdad is a d%ck. I'm glad he gets all the loving he needs from Callum.

I gave this a 3.4 stars because I would have liked to get more scenes with his parents. Plus the jerk who kidnapped him. Still, I liked the story well enough to read Book 2. I'm super curious about Joe and Adam.

Not too bad, needed some help.

This wasn't a terrible story but it certainly had some problems. It was very rushed and jumpy. It kind of careened from one scenario to the next. After a bad scene with a sadistic Dom, a couple of days later, they're having sex. Callum, who isn't Dom-like AT ALL, tells Lee they won't have sex anymore, but he'll train Lee to sub. So, of course, they have sex. Everything's too rushed, because in another few days, they're in love. There's just a number of unlikely events and lack of research. It is a nice, sweet love story, if you don't mind the instant part. There was a little bit of character building, even if Lee is too naive and sounds much younger than 21. The secondary characters are okay and I'm sure will be in the next book.

The bachelor life is all Callum wanted right now, except for maybe running the top BDSM club in town. Being the best Master in the club, all the subs wanted to be taught and collared by Callum, but he liked being single and playing the field. His life is turned upside down the first night he owns his own club, a Dom gets too aggressive with a new untrained sub. Saving the young sub awakens something in Callum he never thought he would be, a man who wanted a committed relationship.
Lee's life has not been easy but now with Callum he can be happy, or so he thinks. Danger is around every corner for him and someone is out to take him from Callum.

Great story

An engaging story with great characters, a good supporting cast. Lee is so cute and charming. Callum is a strong Dom with a huge heart. I hope there is more in store for these two, as well as for Adam and Joe, and Derek. Great story, I really liked it!!

Very mild BDSM and I think overall a really great fun easy read. The characters had great chemistry and the story was well written. I think if you have not been a great fan of BDSM but still are just wee bit curious this will be a great start.

A tender, but violent, BDSM read

4 solid stars

This book surprised me in a number of ways. First, it was extremely well written. The plot was solid, having various plot points without confusing the reader, terrific character development (particularly for MCs Callam (the Dom) and Lee (the sub). Lee wants to become a submissive, but every time he gains confidence to allow Callam to train him, something besets Lee that shatters that budding growth. Lee is abused by a perfectly dispicable Dom at the beginning of the story, forcing Callam to throw the man out of the BDSM club "Pure" he now owns. Needless to say, this doesn't sit well with the psychotic Dom, Haines, who begins to plot his revenge against Lee.

Lee moves in with Callam while he recovers from the beating he received. Callam finds himself falling hard for the 21 year old sub and agrees to be Lee's exclusive Dom and trainer. As it turns out, Lee had been attending college for Interior Design prior to his stepfather abusing him and throwing him out of the house. As the two protagonists become closer, Callam gives more creadence to Lee's own ideas for the club and begins to allow their incorporation into the club's design.

Before the grand opening, Lee is abducted by the vile Haines and horribly beaten and abused. Callam finds them in an abandoned warehouse were Lee is being whipped and hung by tether hooks. He's is bad condition, but Callam cannot assist his "boy" because Haines has a gun trained on Lee. What follows is a mind game on Callam's part that gets Haines distracted, allowing Callam's security team to arrive and take out Haines. While severely beaten, Lee recovers at Callam's home, were he becomes a permanent resident.

Unbeknownst to Lee, Callum decides to sell Pure to protect Lee from further trauma. He goes to the club to sign the sales contract, but is surprised when Lee's favorite song blares over the sound system. Looking down upon the performance stage, Callam see Lee in the submissive position; on his knees, hands behind his back and head down. Callam races downstairs and, standing before his sub, says' "Boy!" Lee replies "Master."

I found this book to be an enjoyable read. Yes, it had some violent and sexual triggers, but I think they fit well within the context of the plot. I was pleasantly surprised with how well edited the novel was, having found sparse errors. (Yeah!)

Overall, I would recommend this book with confidence to readers who like a slight age gap, BDSM and light-hearted read that flows smoothly. Enjoy!

I have had the Pure books on my TBR list since 2016; that’s the year I began following Victoria Sue. I quickly became a fan but she already had a decent backlist so I just never made time to read the books in this series. Because I read all three books one right after the other it’s difficult to separate my feelings so I’m going to review all of them here and copy the reviews to the other two books.

These books are best read in order but Pure can be read as a standalone; however, you need to read book two before you read book three.

Pure 5 Stars
Callum is a successful businessman and he’s recently bought a BDSM club and renamed it Pure. He’s going to make it into the type of club he’s always wanted where play can happen but no one gets hurt without consent. Lee is a Sub who is in trouble when an irresponsible Dom doesn’t follow the rules of the new club. This story just about broke my heart. Lee had to suffer again at the hands of a monster before Callum finally woke up and admitted what he wanted.

A mystery is begun in this story that won’t be solved until the next book but I wouldn’t exactly call it a cliffhanger because the romance between Callum and Lee is solid and they get an HEA.

Pure Indulgence 5 Stars
Gay-for-you is a term that is no longer used but this book was written before that trope became bi-awakening. Joe is Callum’s best friend, an ex-detective and a Dom. What he isn’t is gay. Be that as it may, he’s captivated by Adam, a sub who works at Pure, and can’t seem to get him out of his mind.

Oh boy did this book have my emotions all over the place. Adam is Lee’s friend (from Pure). When Adam is bought in a charity auction where he agrees to spend an entire weekend with the Dom who won him, Joe realizes he’s made a huge mistake in not bidding on him.

The mystery that began in Pure is solved but not before Victoria Sue dangles so many different possible baddies there was no way I could have guessed who the real one was.

Pure Innocence 5 Stars
You really need to read Pure Indulgence before you read this one. Because I’m writing all three reviews here together, I’m going to try very hard and not give any spoilers for the previous books. I’ll just say that events that happened in book two brought Damon and Oliver together. Oliver suffered unimaginable things and Damon is now watching over him. He wants Oliver to be his boy but he’s not sure that can ever happen.

Another story that broke my heart and eventually put it back together again but boy was it touch and go for a bit. Victoria Sue loves to put her MCs through he11 but she never fails to give them a wonderful HEA and that was absolutely true of this story.

In conclusion: while this series was one of Victoria Sue’s first published ones it contained all of the things that I’ve come to expect from her writing and I’m very happy that I finally made time to read these books.

A nice story that I would have enjoyed a lot more if the spelling errors and incorrect words would have been cleaned out first. They kept pulling from then scene.

Over and above that, the story was good, though I think the author may have initially planned for it to be longer since it was packed with various scenarios that didn't all gel together. In other words, we jumped from scene to scene. And, I had the impression that the secondary characters who kept popping up would have their own stories in the future so perhaps this was just intended as an intro to a series. Hard to say.

In any event, I enjoyed the developing relationship between Lee and Callum, up to the end when both characters did an about face and proceeded with actions that were unexpected. Not terrible, simply unexpected. So, that happened. Yes. I may have to reread in future, especially if I move on to the balance of the series.

This is one of those books you read and it ends in somewhat of a limbo when it comes to rating.
It's very innocent when it comes to a BDSM books, other than the abuse Lee suffered, there is beginner submission and tame sex scenes.

There was love after a few days, which I suppose makes sense under the circumstances, and the big bad Dom was anything but.

It was most likely not intended for me as an audience as I've read more BDSM heavy books and this did become a bit fluffy. As it's my first book by this author, I'm not sure if this was her first attempt of the genre, it appeared so from the way it was written.

Callums inner musings were fun to read, his struggles with himself as he gave in to Lee's charm, and the book would have benefited from having Lee's perspective, his thoughts on submitting.

So, time for a confession. I started following some ladies who read a lot of books, and their reviews were so enthusiastic that I had to try some of the books they recommended. So I tried this one, and now I remembered that this kind of book was one of the reasons that e-readers were created. There’s something wicked in reading an erotic book in a tavern full of middle-aged men, watching football. Bless my e-reader! In my defense, I was hungry, had no idea that an important match was on, and had half an hour until my laundry was done.
It was an easy read, could be longer, and my rating was three stars originally, but it got an extra one because it reminded me that books are supposed to be fun, only that, fun. And this one was fun! Will read more from this author, that’s for sure, let’s hope that won’t be in the tavern again!

I really wanted to like this story because I usually enjoy Vitoria Sue’s books. It was a story set in Florida but used a lot of British English. This is a pet peeve of mine. I don’t mind reading British English as long as the story is set there. People don’t speak the same in the US so it was weird. This story felt like it was all over the place. Callum bought Pure, wanted to buy Stealth, and it was confusing at times. I always felt like I didn’t have enough information and I was missing things. It just didn’t feel cohesive.

Super sweet BDSM story where a hardcore dom turns into a marshmallow when he meets the adorable twinky sub meant just for him. There is a whole subplot of another bad dom who is out to get Lee and for a guy opening a club and running a security firm Callum doesn't work much, but if you get past a bit of that, and you like marshmallow doms (which I do have a propensity for) then it's a good read. Depends on your taste. Might be too sweet for some. Did make me curious about Adam an straight-cop Joe.

3.5 stars - I wanted to like this book more. I like the premise and much of the characters and plot. It just felt like it had either been edited down to a severely reduced page count or that it was still in expanded outline form. For me, an expanded version with all the gaps filled in would make a much smoother, more enjoyable story.

Callum is starting a new adventure so he isn’t ready for a relationship. But Lee catches his eye and seems to need some help. There was a lot of back and forth with their feelings with a big side of drama. You are drawn into the story. The ending is a great view of how their life is turning out. #CMCon24
