My first book by this author, and it was such a sweet, satisfying read! Ramona’s detour to Destiny was fun to follow, but Brock is the reason I stayed up late finishing this book. He is seriously swoony—quiet, steady, and carrying a lot more weight than he lets on. Such a good guy. And when he finally draws a line and stands up for himself? I was cheering out loud.

Their romance is a slow burn that feels natural and earned, full of soft moments and healing energy—and the perfect amount of spice! A lovely wrap-up to the series with plenty of small-town charm. Perfect for anyone who loves a beta hero with a backbone and a sassy heroine searching for her place in the world.

4.5 ⭐️-This book is a part of the Love In Destiny romance series but can serve as a stand alone novel. Several different authors collaborated on an idea and this book was the result of Bailey Thomas. This was book 5 and the final book in the series.

Imagine losing your financial base because an ex boyfriend decided to steal from you. What is a girl to do? Meet Ramona or Ram as she likes to be called who has found herself in this sticky situation. Not sure what she should do but start over. With the help of her best friend Laney, Ram throws a dart at a map and lets the dart decide on where she should start over. It sticks in Destiny, FL.

Upon arrival to Destiny Ram must settle in and find a place to live and work. Unbeknownst to Ram, she runs into a local Landscape Architect Manager, Brock, and strikes up a friendship with him after they help one another solve a few problems. Was it their Destiny to meet? Can they both let go of their secrets and past disappoints and open their hearts to one another?

I received this ARC in favor of an honest review.. Bailey Thomas is a new to me author I discovered through Instagram. I enjoyed this book very much. It was a fast read for me, finishing in about 2 days time. I enjoyed Ram and Brock and their budding relationship. They even made me a little angry at the two of them for some of their selfishness and letting their past experiences over shadow the present. There was drama, there was love, and there was low key spice. The content kept my interest and I will definitely recommend this to my bookworm friends and family. I will give this book 4.5 ⭐️. And it makes me want to go and read the other books in the Love In Destiny series!

Also, I know that this was an ARC and not a completed version of the one coming out 9/9/25 but there were a few time line snafus that I found while reading that kinda had me confused a couple of times and having to go back to previous chapters to verify timelines. I’m sure that is not the case with the finished book.

Lord I love a good beachy read and this book sure does hit the spot! When you bf screws you over and empties your bank accounts what do you do, you run! Vowing it will never happen again and you end up in a town named Destiny. Then you meet a hunky landscaper. And just like you he has secrets too. But will it stop them from getting a happily ever after? Trust me you need to read it to find out if romance wins. It sure did my heart good to read this wonderful book! Definitely worth it. 🫶🏻

If you’re looking for a sweet, small town romance then this is the book for you. Ramona (Ram) has decided to start over in Destiny, Florida after an awful break up with her jerk boyfriend. She packed her bags and showed up in town with what she could fit in her truck and her small amount of savings.
She meets Brock, the resident hottie, who has a troubled past that we learn more of later on.

I really liked this because it is your typical, old fashioned meet cute with the sweet manners and respectful pace in their budding relationship.

I personally have never lived in a small town, but my wife grew up in a TINY town and I think that the author hit those vibes perfectly. Everyone knows everyone’s business, the gossip mill is ever running, and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who wouldn’t jump in to help you in a heartbeat.

This is a sweet story of redemption and love.

Now here’s my nitpicky comments. I subtracted half a star because I found the fmc to be a little difficult. There were some ways she was written that just made her seem a little bitchy?? Like written formally I suppose. It just made me hesitant to like her.
And minus another half star because I am not a fan of a miscommunication trope. I HOLD GRUDGES!!!! And I honestly just don’t think that Ram deserved to end up with Brock.

All in all, I really enjoyed the book and I feel honored to have been selected as an ARC reader

Sand Dollars, Secrets & Starting Over is a beautiful story about love, found family and second chances. Ramona/Ram has been betrayed by her boyfriend and has moved to Destiny for a fresh start. On her first day, she meets Brock who steps in to help her with a project. They are immediately attracted to each other but take time to develop a relationship. They are friends first which adds to their love story. When secrets are revealed can they weather the storm?
The duet narration by Grace Grant and Christian Black was extraordinary. Grace Grant was brilliant as sweet, sassy, smart, dedicated Ram. Christian Black was delightful as kind, steady, creative, outdoors living Brock. These two talented voice actors brought this story to life beautifully. I highly recommend listening to this fabulous audiobook.

Sand Dollars, Secrets, & Starting over is a heartfelt sweet romance. This is Ramona (Ram) and Brock’s story that is filled with new beginnings and new adventures. Both of them had an unhappy past and are trying to make the best of it. I love how they both clicked from the very beginning and were willing to helped those who needed it. They both have secrets, and have been hard on each other, but they were able to solve the problems and still find their HEA. I also, love the other characters of this small town called Destiny, it seems this place is where dreams come true. I really enjoyed their story and can’t wait to read more.

ARC read: Super cute story that was easy to read and not just your typical boy meets girl simple story. That being said, it was light hearted and fun to read. I had a cheesy grin on my face for most of the book. The characters were all easy to relate to and had natural chemistry throughout the book. Highly recommend this summer love story!

This was my first experience as an ARC reader/member. I really appreciate the opportunity. First and foremost I loved Ram and Laney’s friendship! I really enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down! Brock and Ram are great, makes me want to meet them in real life haha! I appreciate their miscommunication issue not dragging out / them being adults about it. I did predict some of the book, but even then I thoroughly enjoyed it! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a lighthearted romance. It was the perfect book for me after reading heavier books recently.

Sand Dollars, Secrets, and Starting Over is the final book in the Love in Destiny series and is written by Bailey Thomas. The ARC was offered to me by the author. All of the books in this series were written and collaborated on with other authors. Each couple/book was set in Destiny, Florida.

Out of all of the books in this series I think this one is my favorite. I instantly loved Ramona and Brock. The entire story just unfolded beautifully. I didn’t realize the book was ending when it did, so it made me a little sad to close the book. I wish their love story was longer and I hope we will be able to go back to Destiny to check in with all of these characters every once in a while. Ramona has been severely burned by her ex-boyfriend and is on high alert when she meets Brock. She left her old life to start over completely. Brock has had a rough couple of years and is dealing with his own demons. Just like Ram, Brock is attempting to rebuild his life. He is punishing himself for some decisions he made in the past. He feels unworthy of Ramona’s love and affection.

Ram and Brock are adorable and absolutely relatable characters. They encounter issues and feelings that a real couple could relate to. Given all of the past circumstances for both of them and the hurdles they faced together, I was so happy when they were willing to work together to build a strong foundation once everything was out in the open. This small town in Florida truly came to life because of the authors. A perfect beachy read to end the series!

This book was a breath of fresh air. It had all the components that I love. A small town beachy vibe with secrets, love and new beginnings.
Ramona is just getting out of a toxic relationship and needs a life change. Ramona and her friend Laney head to a bar to relax and unwind. While at the bar they decide to play darts and wherever the dart lands, Ramona says she will move there and start over. Soon after Ramona hits the road and comes into the small beach town of Destiny! While hunting for a job and place to live, she meets several amazing, friendly people who help along the way. Ramona takes an accounting position to build her bank account that her ex stole and starts to dream of one day opening a flower shop, but little does she know that the man of her dreams, Brock, soon will appear.
As they start to get to know each and fall hard, secrets will emerge that may send waves through their relationship and test the waters of the future.
This is a sweet, hallmark movie kind of book and like I said before a true breath of fresh air read!!!

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

The plotline had a lot of potential, and I really enjoyed following Ramona’s story. I especially liked the premise and could see where the story was trying to go. That said, I found myself wishing there was more time spent developing the backstory, since that would have helped me connect more deeply with the characters and their struggles.

Some of the phrasing felt a little awkward in places, but since this was an ARC, I completely understand that it’s not the final draft, and I’m hopeful that the polished version will smooth those moments out.

To me, the tone read a bit more like YA, but the inclusion of spice shifted it into adult territory in a way that felt a little mismatched. Still, I think readers who enjoy crossover-style stories might find this appealing.

While this one wasn’t quite for me personally, I can see the promise in the author’s storytelling. I’m grateful for the opportunity to read it early and will be wishing the author all the best as they continue to grow their work.

I received an ARC and this series is unlike any I’ve read before. A different author writes each book and as a person who micromanaged every group project, I can’t imagine giving over control for the next books in the series. But this worked! I read book 2 a few weeks ago and recently finished book 3, Sand Dollars, Secrets, and Second Chances (both ARC reads).

Ram and Brock end up being such a sweet couple. They both struggle to get past their own demons and secrets to get there but then again, we wouldn’t have much of a book if everything was lined up and perfect from page 2.

It was a cozy summer read, perfect for an easy palate-cleanser between other heavier stories.
A solid 4 stars and the only lingering of summer that I’ll accept (yes I am very over this summer heat… I’ll only accept heat in my books from now on)!

What a cute story about starting over! Ramona Fritz moves to Destiny Florida after a bad breakup so she can start over. I just loved the story, and how Brock and Ramona clicked instantly. he was so sweet, and treated her so well. but when Ramona learns about Brocks past, I was a little disappointed in how she acted. like I totally get it, she had trust issues because of her ex boyfriend, but she understood when she learned the truth of his past, and his intentions so that redeemed it for me. I really enjoyed their story, and the spice was 🔥!! 🤭

I loved the premise: Ram, reeling from something traumatic, uproots her life and finds herself in Destiny, Florida. Brock’s been through his own upheaval about two years earlier, and when these two collide? Instant chemistry.

Laney is absolute best-friend goals—always there to ground Ram and put her in her place when needed. 👏

I was nervous about a pregnancy trope sneaking into the third-act breakup, but thankfully it didn’t happen. The ending was cute and satisfying, though I really wish we’d gotten an epilogue set a few years later to peek into their future.

If you’re looking for a feel-good, low-angst romance with a solid HEA, this is one to add to your list.

I really enjoyed this one! Ramona “Ram” shows up in Destiny ready for a fresh start after a rough breakup, and Brock is trying to rebuild his life after past mistakes. When they meet, the connection is slow-burning and so satisfying to listen to.

This story has all the beach-town charm, second chances, and “love finds you when you least expect it” vibes. No love triangles, no cliffhangers — just a sweet, earned happy ending.

The narrators are amazing. Grace Grant brings Ram’s humor, hope, and determination to life perfectly, and Christian Black gives Brock that quiet, steady energy that makes him impossible not to root for.

If you love slow-burn romances, beta heroes, and small-town charm, this is such a feel-good listen. 🏖️💛
