Perikar Devon's adventures have taken him from one side of the world to the other. He's learned much but lost everything so, tired and weary, he returns to the Capitol in search of his friends. But before he can find them, he witnesses the kidnap of Queen Shara - the woman who tried to have him killed.
Knowing he will be unfairly blamed for her disappearance, Per resolves to rescue her. She almost murdered him, now he must save her life! Heading out of the city, he starts a long journey that takes him from a magistrate's perverted dungeon to an orgy in a far off dwarven fortress. Will he be able to fulfill a prophesy and overcome powerful sex magic to rescue the queen?
The second volume of John Evans's classic erotic epic fantasy series, The Adventures Of Pervikar, is available for the first time in a new and definitive edition. Per will return in the next installment, Karina's Quest.
John Evans (1985-Present) was born in Tooele, Utah and then spent the majority of his childhood traveling the Western United States in a travel trailer. With little space for toys, Evans turned to writing and drawing to occupy his time. As time went on, Evans's writing talents continued to grow, and he received heavy encouragement from his parents, friends, and teachers to continue developing his craft, publishing numerous poems and short stories in local literary journals, and newspapers. In high school he wrote his first novel, "The Fallen", which was published in 2006, two years after his graduating year. Evans possesses his degree in Information Technology, and resides in Hilo, Hawaii with his mother and father.
There is nothing not to like in this second part of the Perkivar series. The quests of the huge-in all ways- half-ogre hero and his mostly female fellow adventurers in this fantasy world, where sex is ubiquitous and often the solution to many dire problems that can't be solved with swords, is a fun romp. Leave literary pretensions for another day. Relax and carried away on the stream of myriad sexcapades, medieval fights and happy endings.
Another good Pervikar adventure, the sex and storyline are well blended and enjoyable, this book has more focus than book one and a better read although I still find trouble getting 100% behind Per as the MC. Was suprised by the inclusion of a very particular David Eddings profanity/exclamation, "Torak's Beard" seemed very out of place. I do find the leap into the next story and then immediate end of the book, like book one, a little offputting.
