Myrrh & Mayhem: A Jude and Audie West Mystery

Rate this book
Every evening, Josephine Richards strolls the historic district of Missouri’s first capital.
A healthy habit, if she weren’t already dead.

A young bride. A talented artist. A powerful legislator.

When a rep in the Show-Me State’s inaugural Congress returns home to find his wife in a pool of blood and a handsome glassmaker holding the murder weapon, the frontier town of St. Charles is rocked to its core.

Two hundred years later, amid a rash of unusual thefts, another brutal death occurs in the same spot with another makeshift blade. While tragic, it wouldn’t concern the Wests on their holiday break, except the crime scene belongs to Audie’s sister.

Shut down during the busiest week of the year, the artists of her boutique are as dead in the water as their former handyman. Now Vita’s youngest partner finds she’s lost more than just her paycheck, and the gang is left with too many questions for even Santa’s reindeer to haul.

How could the pair of far-flung deaths possibly be related? Where did all the stolen spoils go? Why have Scrooge’s specters chosen Jude to haunt?

And in a city with history chiseled into every cobblestone, can Audie and Jude unravel centuries of tangled webs before a new soul joins the local ghost brigade?

I have read all four books. Jude and Audie West are great characters. The humour between them is brilliant. Ive not been right with the murderers but was pretty close with this one. Waiting for more now please. Will Audie ever sleep all night? Will they find Kate?
