This is a great primer sprinkled with enough humor to make a newbie actually absorb some of the new rules and language about this humbling game.

This is a very baseline/brand new to golf guide. Some of the items discussed I considered common sense, but who knows. I did learn a few tips and tricks and it was actually pretty funny so I was able to read through it quickly.

I read this book right after my first golfing excursion, which was, in all honesty, an utterly unmitigated disaster ending in my nearly quitting my job. If nothing else, this book made me feel better about all the terrified, embittered emotions that golf has now engendered in me.
