The Thrilling Conclusion to the Rabbit River Saga Wolf Shifter Romantic Fantasy Set in Present Day Upstate New York
A fledgling pack struggles to survive during chaotic times, when mates are scarce and competition is fierce.
A surprise visit from the nearly defunct Council changes everything when Alpha Lucas Ardennes must refute their allegations and prove his fitness as a leader in order to protect his pack. But Lucas is uncomfortably aware that his greatest vulnerability lies in one area. Mari, the human who has captured his heart, still has no pack-bond.
Caught between duty and desire, Lucas knows Mari holds the key to their salvation, but can he convince her to accept him before it's too late?
Mari hates weakness. Her own, and the fact that she is Lucas’s greatest liability. She knows their connection is real, or at least she is beginning to believe so. But haunted by the trauma of her past, she is just not sure she can handle an Alpha like Lucas.
With time running out, can Mari find a way to face her fears before it’s too late? Because the fate of the entire pack just might hang in the balance.

Author's This series is best enjoyed in order. It is one complete saga told over 8 separate books. Enjoy!
Elyce de Reefe grew up in Santa Cruz, California and New York City. She likes to call herself a coastal girl, since she has spent nearly all of her time on one coast or another. She enjoys all genres of romance as long as there’s a hot, sexy hero with something to learn, a smart female lead who refuses to compromise on who she truly is, and the promise of a happily ever after. Her characters often find themselves on a journey of discovery, struggling to achieve true intimacy while solving the real-life problems thrown in their way.
To date, Elyce has written paranormal wolf shifter romance, contemporary romance, and romantic suspense. But there’s a Sci-Fi series in there waiting to come out, and possibly an epic fantasy series, as well as thoughts on a time travel story. Her ancestors were highlanders, after all.
Elyce loves hiking in nature, riding horses, watching wildlife, swimming under a blue sky, digging in the dirt, and sitting in front of a fire with a good book. She enjoys these things even more in the company of friends and family. Add wine and chocolate, and voila! It’s a beautiful life.
Oh, yes – and she has a very special place in her heart for wolves…
The conclusion to the Rabbit River saga was fantastic. Mari finally accepts Lucas and agrees to be his mate but things never run smoothly for this pair. An ambitious beta who wants to become an alpha who takes a sinister liking for Mari, plus a summons from the almost defunct Council who threaten both Lucas’ leadership and his life play out against the conclusion if the first and last romance of this series.
Next to come is “The Silver Scroll Prophecy” which means a return to Rabbit River pack I believe which means we will return to these wonderful wolf shifters and their determined amazing human mates.
I have read this whole series and it was great to see Lucas and Mari finally get their happy ending, and to know that there is a follow on series makes the ending even better. Can’t wait to read more about this fledgling pack with the strong human females bringing the heroes to their knees with the strong love between all the couples. Recommend you read from the beginning you won’t be disappointed.

So good. I waited so long for their happy ever after. It’s was wonderful. I am so glad the series is not over. I just wish we didn’t have to wait so long.
This book ties up the threads of other books brilliantly. The sweet slow romance between Lucas and Mari is completed and the ending leaves a pathway for more books in the world of the rabbit river pack. I loved this book and the series overall a great read. Well worth reading again and again.
I enjoyed this series. I would recommend you read the books in order to understand the characters' backstories and personalities. Moonglow is the final book where the alpha, Lucas finally gets his mate. I had moments where I liked Mari and other moments where I strongly disliked her in this book. It showed Lucas' strength and restraint and made him that much more appealing. Glad Mari finally put on her big girl panties!! I enjoyed the Council Meeting, but I wondered how other packs didn't notice the deceit. I figured it was a setup for the spinoff...I think I was right! The stories are well-written and thoughtfully developed. The side characters add to the dynamic feel of the story.
The story was a 4-star read for me. There were things I questioned, but I was invested in the story and it was entertaining.
I cannot speak on the editing because I was given an ARC copy that hadn't gone through its final editing stage. My review is my own and I am thankful the author gave me the opportunity to read her work.
Had so been looking forward to this book coming out and for the most part its wonderful, but the lack of research on marriage laws upsets me. All states laws have changed and no longer require a blood test. Yup, even New York don't require a blood test unless you are black or latino. This could have been a solid 4-star if the author took the time to do the research.
It was great to see a resolution to the Lucas and Mari storyline. It’s a well-written story that continues to hold your interest. It is always fascinating to observe the storylines in all of the Rabbit River books and how they are utilized to continue to bring the story together smoothly. Have loved the entire series!
Lucas and Mari are finally mates. The path to accepting Luas was not easy for Mari. I was frustrated with Mari at times, but it all worked out. The council summons and meeting was interesting. The plot is well written and keeps you reading. I recommend you read this book, especially if you read the other book in the series. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
