Jaeda Dillinger isn’t so lucky when it comes to love. Between running her family's covert operations and being the timid, shy and quiet one of a rowdy bunch, she’s convinced romance just isn’t in the cards for her. But when a tech breach threatens her most secure files, Jaeda shifts into full-on defense mode—only to discover the hacker isn’t some faceless enemy, but a quiet, brilliant man who just might be everything she didn’t know she needed.
Quaid Michaels lives in a world of logic, lines of code, and quiet curiosity. The one thing he can’t rationalize? His growing obsession with Jaeda Dillinger. When admiration turns into action, he makes one reckless choice that lands him face-to-face with the woman of his dreams—and her gun-toting family. What started as digital help spirals into something far more personal.
As their worlds collide, sparks fly in unexpected ways. Can something that started all wrong turn into something completely right?

Writing has been a part of her journey since a young age but really became a focal point during her high school years. With the support of her classmates, she began sharing her love of words with others. In 2019 she took her first step towards becoming a serious writer with self-publishing. August of 2021, she made her BLP debut with “Pretty Caged Bird” and is continuing to grow her catalog. Deuce, Maceo, and Smoke have all gotten married and started families and Jaeda is ready to find her own happily ever after. She may have found her perfect match but, when she finds out what he’s been doin’ in his spare time, she has her four eyed admirer kidnapped and she might have to put a hot one in him before their fairytale can even begin. Quaid has been pining after Jaeda like a love sick puppy for months after he saw her profile on a dating app. But, for some reason, he just wouldn’t pull the trigger and send her a message. Luckily for him, the geek Gods were shinin’ down upon him and put him in the same space as Jaeda. Just not the way he would’ve liked. We love a man who knows what he wants and not only declares it but, proves it through his actions. From the moment Quaid saw Jaeda’s picture on the dating app, he knew she was the one for him and he was intentional from the very start in his pursuit and he didn’t let her rude azz brothers run him off either. My guy stood on business and never backed down. Quaid said, “Ain’t no bytch ova here.” And wasn’t! Jaeda’s story came through with all the angst free feels. No shootouts. No murders. Just love, attraction, and vibes.
This one was a bit boring more so just a cute lil romance with the overbearing family trope. Sorry that’s just one thing I hateeeee especially when they grown as Jaeda was.
I knew Jae , Q was going to be Everything and it was!
This book literally a breath of fresh air. Nothing but smiles and love in the air no drama . Jaeda, & Q was just what I imagine them to be . & the family and their dialogue gone to get me every-time . If you haven’t stared with the Dillinger family what are you waiting on!!!
Jaeda's story was different. She mentioned a few times that she always felt emotionally disconnected from her siblings. And yet, she was the center of attention for her brothers. I liked that although her brothers did not want Jaeda to date, they accepted the man she chose. Eventually. He likely survived because he stood his ground with them. A fearless nerd had to be a new phenomenon for the fellas. I liked this one fairly well. I rated it 3.75 stars due to the pace of the story. See what you think.
2.5⭐️ I found all her brothers annoying in this book, I think they were way too overbearing. Jaeda is GROWN. The constant meddling from every family member annoyed me a lot.. this one just wasn’t for me. Jaeda and Quaid were cute though
Omg, I was smiling this entire book! I just love that love found Jaeda—because she was so deserving of the kind of love where she felt fully accepted and seen for exactly who she is.
The meet cute of Quaid and Jaeda bumping into each other at the toy store? Him being completely speechless? Ahh, so cute! And from there it just kept getting better. Their first date at the bookstore 📚🥰, the dinner and ice cream date, their Comic Con adventure, even watching Jeopardy, building Legos, binging anime, and Criminal Minds—it all felt so natural, so soft, so them. They really are the cutest!
And listen… Jaeda & Kitana! “Kitana Wins” 🥵😮💨
Of course, Deuce, Maceo, Smoke, and Steel showed out like only the Dillingers can 🤣🤭🤣. Kimberly Brown weaves in family in a way that makes these stories richer, funnier, and full of love.
I also have to mention the sisterhood and blended families. This book gave me everything: soft romance, laugh-out-loud moments, family ride-or-die energy, and so much joy.
And now… I just KNOW Titan and Mia’s book is going to be hilarious. I’m already ready. I’m so curious about Steel’s book.
This was the sweetest most hilarious story about the Dillinger's. Jaeda and Quaid were such a couple. Miss KB gave us a book showing us that black needs need love too🤣...
Quaid is definitely my favorite outside Dillinger, That man knew what it was up front and was not scared to catch a fade with any of Jaeda's brothers and that is the type of man she needed in her life he could go tow to toe with them devilish heathens😊
I really like getting into all of the aspects of what makes Jaeda jaeda, She wasn't just shy and nerdy she was definitely big Jada she could hold her own if necessary... Her relationship with her sisters through marriage and her sister mia was a beautiful thing the girls were just hilarious together it was not a moment that I was not smiling while reading this book.
This book was the epitome of the perfect balance of sweet and spiciness I needed I giggled and kicked my feet like a school girl the entire time.
And is always there's never a dull moment with the brothers, They are so overbearing and overprotective but I love that for my girls...😅
Now the situation with steel I don't know what's going to happen there but I'm intrigued on how that's going to play out in his book.
Even getting to know a little bit more of the dynamic between Titan and mia was very interesting I really can't wait to see how that book plays out.
And I miss Maddie and Stanley senior sneaking off.... I don't know what you got cooking but I got my eyes on that👀👀🤣
Probably the least dramatic and the sweetest one in the series her. Reading this I was filled with the biggest “awwwws.” I absolutely loved Jaeda and Quaid’s romance. Yes it was light on action and plot, and yes there was very little drama, it was just sugar candy levels of sweet, but I loved seeing Jaeda coming into her own and finding confidence and happiness. I loved how surrounded by family and friendship the couple was. I loved getting to know more Dillingers and potentially seeing Mia and Titan, and Steel and Donna’s relationship’s emerge for future books. I would definitely read more in this series.
4/5 — Watching her older brothers find love and start families, my girl was waiting on her chance. I was happy to read how my girl Jaeda finally found the love she deserves with her twin flame, Quaid. — The two (Jaeda and Quaid) were so smart and nerdy, the chemistry just made their love stronger and cozy to watch unfold. Quaid stood his ground when it came to them Dillinger and I loved it. — I love how her overprotective brothers step behind her and Mia. Can’t forget about Stanley Senior.
Jaeda and Quaid are soooo cute!!! 🥹🥹🥹🤎🤎🤎 I love how protective her brothers are of her, how she met her match with Quaid, how she's finally seen and treated well..... The Dillinger family connection is something so special and Kimberly Brown knows how to create that perfect family dynamic.
This was actually the perfect love story for Jaeda. Low angst, lots of romance and a man absolutely obsessed with her. Some interference from her brothers as expected but still the sweetest love story for the sweetest Dillinger sibling.
She did it again! Ms. Kimberly ate this one up. Jaeda got her happily ever after, and then some. Because Quaid isn’t playing about his! I can’t wait to see whose book is next.
This was a good time!! I loved that there wasn’t a bunch of drama or action like in the first 3 books of the series. This was just about Jaeda finally getting the love she deserved, and forcing her family to see that she’s a grown woman and they need to respect her boundaries. The Dillinger family still cut up in this book though and had me cackling the whole time, but Quaid was time enough for them and I loved it. I loved that Jaeda and Quaid connected on all things nerdy and both found a love that allowed them to be unapologetically themselves. Also the set up for Steel’s book is in this one & I’m interested in his storyline now…it’s giving a setup for a second chance romance but I’m wondering how his “situation” will play out. I’m over Mia & Titan though lol. The toxicity is outta this world.
Kimberly Brown does it again with Jaeda, delivering a sweet, quirky, and unexpectedly heartfelt addition to the Dillinger family saga. This installment zeroes in on Jaeda Dillinger—the quiet, brainy underdog in a family full of loud personalities and even louder firepower. Always in the background, Jaeda finally steps into the spotlight, and what a soft, tender, and hilarious ride it is.
Jaeda isn't your typical romance heroine. She's introverted, analytical, and more comfortable behind screens than in social situations. Enter Quaid Michaels—a charming tech genius with a gentle soul and a growing obsession with the most unassuming Dillinger. When his curiosity lands him on the wrong side of her firewall, sparks fly… and not just the digital kind. Their chemistry is nerdy, sweet, and just the right amount of awkward, which makes it all the more endearing.
The standout element of this story is their dynamic. Jaeda and Quaid are both quiet in their own ways, but their connection is electric. From shy glances to hilarious family interrogations (cue the gun-toting relatives), the journey from "What are you doing hacking my system?" to "I think I might love you" is both funny and feel-good.
Cameos from the rest of the Dillinger crew add extra layers of chaos and charm. The kids’ instant love for Quaid melted my heart, and the updates on the other siblings—especially Titan and Mia—were gold. Those two are pure, messy drama and I couldn't get enough.
Jaeda is a warm hug of a romance. It’s filled with humor, heart, and a soft kind of love that makes you smile long after the final page. If you’re a fan of introvert-meets-chaos love stories with a family that feels as real as your own (but with more guns and tech skills), this one’s for you. Swoon and steamy Vibe: Sweet, funny, nerdy romance with family antics galore Perfect for readers who love brainy soft boys, strong but shy heroines, and found family dynamics.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for not letting the book end with her having a baby!!! Happily ever after doesn’t have to always mean marriage and babies! Yes I know they are engaged and will probably have a baby in the next series lol but if you decide to keep them the cool/rich uncle and auntie I would be cool with that too! This book was so cute to me cause like the awkward black kids need love too right?! Jaeda and Quaid were literally the perfect match! I’m glad that this book had a different feel than the others because it’s authentic to who Jaeda and Quaid are. They can get active if need be but they are better behind the scenes so the action wasn’t needed in my opinion. I was a tad bit surprised at how her brothers were acting about her being a relationship tho seeing as how they are married with children and super soft for their wives! I was also surprised to learn that Jaeda wasn’t as innocent as we thought 😉 Shar is still and will always be my fave!! Every girl needs a Shar in her life. Titan was also funny to me, now him and Mia got on my nerves with their back and forth! Once we get through the siblings I ‘d be interested in reading about Senior and how he was able to pull his baby mommas 🤣

3.75⭐️ “Jaeda Janelle Dillinger, . . . you are everything I hoped for. Everything I prayed for and some things I didn’t know I needed.” ❤️
I was ready to be back in the Dillinger world. It felt good seeing the guys, the family, and side characters again. Overall, this one was a little boring compared to the other books. There wasn’t any action or drama, it was just a light cute love story. Quaid and Jaeda were cute together. It was nice to see her find her person and getting her happily ever after. They were pretty perfect for each other, they did the same things as far as work, they liked the same things, and fell just has hard as the other person. I loved Quaid. He was sweet, romantic, attentive, affectionate, dominant in the best way, didn’t let the Dillingers (or anyone for that matter) punk him, and he had the spice spiiiiicing. The meddling family trope was a big part of majority of this book, because those brothers of hers were doing to most lol but I’m glad that Jaeda checked them every time and they got with the program eventually. All of the Dillinger’s/side characters were all hilarious as always. I know Steel’s book is next, but I’m definitely looking forward to the shenanigans of Titan and Mia‘s book.
I've wanted Jaeda's book since book 1. I can't lie...it was EVERYTHING! It was giving soft life and love without drama. Now let's just say there was a slight kidnapping, but it worked out. Quaid was perfect for Jaeda. I mean it's not often you find the opposite sex version of yourself where you don't have to conform and be someone else with them. It was like Quad unlocked something within her. She became more confident, she made her brothers and her dad respect her ability to be a woman, and Quaid had her out here doing finishing moves...IYKYK! I didn't want this book to end and wanted more of these two. Kimberly Brown has never missed for me. I was more upset that I didn't get an email that the book had been released, but even though it was a week after release, it was worth the wait. Welcome to death row Quaid.
Now, let's discuss Steel and Donna and Mia and Titan...are we going to see a friends to lovers with the first, and a enemies to lover with the latter? Or, will Steel and Mia find love elsewhere? I'm on pins and needles waiting to find out! I tell you what, The Dillingers are going to have to build two more houses just for all the babies alone! Happy Reading Y'all!💋
Kimberly sure knows how to write a story. She teased us for MONTHS of snippets of Jaeda's story and was too hyped to read this! Our girl got everything she wanted AND needed with Quaid. I was wondering how the kidnapping theme would continue in her story, and I was not disappointed.
We love a man who knows what he wants and not only DECLARES it but proves it in ACTION. Quaid was that dude. We all wondered how he would be around them Dillinger boys, and he stood and never backed down, and I was here for it.
Now, the way he took care of our Sis Jaeda in the bedroom!!!!! He brought that freak right on up out of her, and we appreciate him for it! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I loved every update from the other 3 books. Babies being born, marriages finally happening, just love all around, and I appreciated that. Not too much action, just a girl and a guy finding one another and their families adjusting to it.
I can't wait to see who is next. We skipped over Steel, and we saw a little for him. Mia, though, we got a teaser for her, and I am curious about how that will go and if her and Titan are going to get it together or move on.
