Oh y'all...I wanted to give this book 5 stars like I did for Direbound but I can't. It was still a good book, just not as good. It does pick up right where the first book ends, and hits the ground running! Things are not going well for our FMC Meryn at all. Bless her heart, she's been put through it and it keeps on. I was disappointed by some of the new characters, especially Lucien. I just felt a little let down by his story, maybe it'll be better in the next book? Some 🌶🌶 scenes in the book were also cringe. I didn't feel like it fit the characters well. Other than that I did like the ending of the book and I'm looking forward to the next one.
