He never thought he’d fall. She never thought she’d survive.
Anastacia I never knew what safety felt like—until him. Grizz is loud, reckless, and everything I should be afraid of… but he’s the only one who’s made me feel protected. After escaping the MC that kept me prisoner, I should be running far from this world. But I’m pregnant. Alone. And terrified. Grizz says he’ll keep us safe. But the men who hurt me—they're not finished. And I don’t know if even he can stop them.
Grizz I never planned on settling down. The club’s my family, and I’ve always been the screw-up with a joke on my lips and blood on my hands. Then Anastacia happened. She’s soft, quiet, and so damn breakable—and she’s carrying a baby that’s mine to protect, no matter what. I don’t know how to be a dad, but I know how to kill. And if the Iron Runners think they’re getting anywhere near her again, I’ll show them exactly what kind of monster I can be.
*The club storyline will make the most sense if the books are read in order, but it isn't necessary as each book focuses on a different relationship.

Raze is the 3rd book in the Mayhem MC Maine Chapter by Penny Fox. This is a storyline that you’ll get the most enjoyment out of by reading the series in order, but as each book focuses on a different couple, you can read each book as a standalone.
I loved this story. Grizz and Anastacia were such a great couple. I loved how it was love at first sight for Grizz but for Anastacia it was a bit different, she found safety at first sight with Grizz. And after everything she’s been through, all the trauma that she’s suffered, I can understand why she would have found safety with Grizz first before she fell in love with him.
I loved Grizz. He was such a teddy bear and you could tell how much he loved Anastacia and how he would give her all the time in the world to realize that she was actually in love with him too. But, more than that, Grizz gave her all the time she needed to heal from her trauma and work through everything that she’d been through.
Anastacia had been given to the Iron Runners by her mother in exchange for drugs. Once she was a part of the Iron Runners Anastacia found herself subjected to abject abuse from one of the MC members until she found herself pregnant. As soon as that happened, everything got worse for Anastacia as the entire MC joined in on abusing her.
Then one day while she was at a bar, she found herself being rescued and being taken in by a member of the Mayhem MC. And then Grizz walked in one day and saw her and he knew the moment he saw her that she was the one for her.
Penny did a stunning job of writing a great slow-burn, giving both Grizz and Anastacia the time to slowly and naturally fall in love and it felt so natural and I loved that they didn’t just fall right into bed the first moment they met. Especially after everything that Anastacia had gone through.
I have to recommend this book as I adored this couple, I loved this story, and I got the feels that I wanted from this book. And I loved the way that Penny wrote this book, with the touches of darkness added in.
Raze by Penny Fox is proof that sometimes what the soul truly needs is a motorcycle club romance with its rough edges lovingly sanded down and its emotional core turned all the way up. Beware of the triggers, there can be a long list if you are somehow sensitive.
This is the third installment in the Hell’s Mayhem MC: Maine Chapter, and once again Penny Fox confirms what’s been clear since book one: she’s chosen a softer, more emotionally grounded route for this series—and honestly? It works beautifully. Raze feels like a warm blanket wrapped in leather, exhaust fumes, and unconditional devotion.
Grizz. What can I say? Massive. Intimidating. And secretly a full-time teddy bear with a PhD in caretaking. He’s the love-at-first-sight, burn-the-world-down-if-you-touch-her kind of man—possessive, protective, and emotionally tuned in. With Anastacia, he’s basically human bubble wrap, determined to shield her from every leftover fear and scar from her past. Subtlety is not his brand; devotion most certainly is.
Anastacia herself didn’t quite climb to the top of my favorite FMC list in the series, but the dynamic between her and Grizz is undeniably sweet and satisfying. Their relationship unfolds as a true slow burn—patient, tender, and emotionally rich. Penny Fox takes her time, and the payoff is worth every page.
The side characters deserve a standing ovation (or at least a round of shots at the clubhouse). Snapper, Lucian, Shark, Tommy, and Kels are as compelling and charismatic as ever, and it’s genuinely delightful to see them again after their own stories in books one and two. Found family energy? Immaculate.
All in all, Raze is a comforting, heartfelt addition to the series—romantic without being saccharine, protective without tipping into toxic, and emotional without melodrama. Penny Fox knows exactly what she’s doing, and now I’m left doing the only reasonable thing: impatiently waiting for the next book, already playing Who’s Next? in my head.
Grizz and Anastacia’s story is a quiet, emotional kind of love, one built on safety, patience, and protection rather than instant heat. After escaping a brutal MC, Anastacia is pregnant, traumatized, and terrified. Grizz may be loud, reckless, and covered in tattoos, but from the moment he steps in, he becomes her safe place.
Grizz is a true teddy bear beneath the biker exterior. Watching him go from joking screw up to fiercely protective partner and father figure was one of the highlights of the book. His devotion to Anastacia and their baby felt genuine and earned, especially given everything she’s endured. I really appreciated that the romance took its time, no rushing into bed, just trust slowly being rebuilt.
The MC backdrop adds tension and danger, and while the threat from Anastacia’s past looms throughout, the focus stays firmly on healing, found family, and emotional connection. Grizz’s brother and sister in law added warmth and support that rounded out the story nicely.
That said, parts of the book felt a little slow for me, and while I enjoyed the couple, I didn’t quite get the big emotional punch I was hoping for, which is why this lands at four stars instead of five.
Overall, this is a well written, well edited MC romance with light dark elements, a fiercely protective hero, and a gentle, healing love story. A solid read, especially if you enjoy slow burn romances where safety comes before passion.
If you read RUIN, you’ll remember that Snapper rescued a woman from a rival MC. That woman is Anastacia, the FMC of RAZE. This is a He Falls First book, where it was Instalove for Grizz and a slower burn for Anastacia. Grizz takes one look at the pregnant heroine and he’s a goner. Anastacia has been through some horrifying experiences. She was trafficked by her mother (in exchange for illegal substances). She was held captive, SA’d, and had a forced pregnancy. Despite all of this trauma, Anastacia is able to build a loving relationship with Grizz and a found family with him, baby Dorothea, and the Hell’s Mayhem. Grizz never tries to push Anastacia past her boundaries, but patiently remains loving and present while being respectful of her comfort level. When they finally do have sexytime, I think it’s a relief for everyone. The time this whole process takes seems very realistic, and I like that her trauma wasn’t suddenly fixed when she met him. Grizz was my favorite element in this book. He has a soft center and rough exterior (total touch her and Unalive). The way he was with Dorothea made my ovaries hum a little tune. Book’s SAFETY is YMMV because of the SA, but there’s no cheating. Heat is SLOW BURN to EXPLICIT. TRIGGERS include SA, Trafficking, Forced Pregnancy, Abuse, Pregnancy Loss, Violence, and Language. TROPES include Dysfunctional Family FTW, Rival MC, Pregnant Heroine, Found Family, Adorable Moppet, He Falls First, Cinnamon Roll Hero.

If you like your MC romances raw, emotional, and unapologetically intense, Raze delivers.
Anastacia has survived hell—and Grizz is the first man who makes safety feel real. He’s loud, reckless, and dangerous in all the right ways, and once he decides she’s his? Game over. Protective, possessive, and all-in from the start.
Grizz may be the club screw-up, but when it comes to Anastacia and their baby, he’s pure destruction wrapped in devotion. He doesn’t hesitate. He doesn’t back down. And if anyone thinks they can touch what’s his? He’ll prove them very wrong.
Penny Fox absolutely nailed the hurt/comfort, the emotional growth, and the high-stakes tension. Anastacia and Grizz’s connection builds beautifully, and the story just keeps getting better with every chapter.
Bottom line: heart, heat, danger, and a hero who falls hard and fast. I loved everything about this book and cannot wait for more from this series.
When she finally escapes the hell she’s been trapped in she is afraid she’ll never find safety. The prisoner of a motorcycle gang used in terrible ways. She shouldn’t trust him. But there is something about him that makes her see. He will burn the world down for her and her unborn baby. He looks at her and knows that she’s been hurt and all he sees is someone that he wants to protect. She she is pregnant with a baby. He has no rights to yet he’s ready to claim. This is the third book in the series and each story is its own standalone with a couple however, there are some interconnected lesser storylines that run through the series. It is not necessary to read them in order however, you will have a better reading experience if you do. This one was fierce and tender all at the same time and I loved it. It was well written, and the characters were beautifully flawed and wonderfully redemptive. In the midst of terrible things, they somehow find each other and learn how to build a beautiful life.

This is definitely an unconventional meeting and love story. These two were absolutely perfect together. I also loved that Anastacia had another woman to talk with. These ladies became fast friends and it was fantastic.
Anastacia was given to the Iron Runners by her mother in exchange for drugs. She had been abused and graped until she ended up pregnant. She was rescued by the Mayhem MC.
The first time Griz saw Anastacia he was drawn to her. They had an immediate connect and she felt safe with him. She quickly moved in with Griz.
Griz was so sweet and patient with Anastacia. I loved watching their relationship blossom. It was a slow burn but with everything she had endured it is actually faster than you would expect. These two complimented each other in beautiful ways.
Griz never cared that he didn't father the child because it was his as soon as they got together. I loved their relationship.
A woman in a horrible situation, and the biker group that saves her.
A biker group with a moral code, and lots of growing pains.
I absolutely adored the MMC, his brother, and his biker brothers. They were all pretty awesome, I mean some of them had their problems but they were working through them and I loved reading that growth.
The only thing I didn’t like is at the 75% mark the FMC Anastasia changes her tone and acts contrary to everything we have learned about her. I would have expected it towards the first half of the book. To happen at the end was odd and to me made the FMC seem wishy washy.
Key points in no particular order: - SA & trafficking - MMC biker member - Community building - Found Family - pregnancy - He falls first - spicy 4/5
There are times when a slowburn has you yelling at your book waiting for the moment when the couple finally gets together because it feels long overdue and then there are times when the slowburn is absolutely necessary and burns just right. Grizz and Anastacia are the latter. Watching them fall in love was beautiful. It feels grounded and secure, which seems insane given all of the chaos surrounding their lives. Grizz does an amazing transformation from playboy to family man and I loved watching it unfold. They grow closer and closer and for a minute you think they might just escape unscathed from the past experiences they've left behind. Raze is book three of the Hell's Mayhem MC Series, and could be read as a standalone, but honestly do yourself a favor and start with Shame, then Ruin!
I enjoyed the story of Grizz and Anastacia. It was love at first sight for Grizz and safety at first sight for Anastacia. Grizz really is such a teddy bear. I like the slow process of falling in love instead of falling into bed right away. Especially given everything that Anastacia went through. For me, parts of it went too slow, though. That's the reason for four stars instead of 5. I liked the story, I liked the couple, I just didn't get big feels from it. Overall a nicely written, well edited love story with a little bit of dark.

I have been excited for this book since Book 2, Ruin. The author says you can read alone, but you definitely get more from reading Ruin before Raze. This fun club of bikers really has hearts of gold who aren't afraid to do terrible things to protect their town and family. This book features Grizz and Anastacia. She was rescued from a terrible situation and is pregnant. It is a sweet love story with a touch of spice. It really stresses found family, the feeling of safety, and home. It is a fun, exciting, and fairly quick read. I recommend this book, series, and other books by Penny Fox. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Raze is book three of the Hell's Mayhem MC: Maine Chapter Series.
Anastacia went through a lot and was saved by some awesome people she was able to learn to trust from. Grizz was absolutely amazing with her. I loved how instantly he knew there was something there between them. He made her know that he was always going to care, love and protect her. I adored that about him. He was there for her through everything she has to go through and helps her when needed. This was a great story about learning to trust someone after going through something horrible. I felt Grizz was a great representation of someone caring and determined to help Anastacia through everything.
This book was about Anastacia. She was rescued from a rival MC and heavily pregnant. She stayed with Kolton aka Snapper. No one knew about her staying with him other than his brother. One day Grizz came over to apologize for something and Kolton let him in. He had sent her upstairs along with Lucian but he told the it was okay. Grizz stayed a while that night getting to know her and he came back everyday. Well eventually he asked her to stay with him so she moved in with him and his brother Tommy and his wife Kelsey. They immediately hit it off. I loved this book. The whole series so far is great.
Another great book from this author. I loved Anastacia ane Grizz’s story. I enjoyed the pacing of the story and appreciate they didn’t feel rushed to a relationship. The story felt like it had the right tempo. All the characters in the story helped both of them in their own ways. Anastacia has been through so much in her life.
I have enjoyed this series. You can read each book as a standalone, but if you read the others, you appreciate all the characters of the MC. I can’t wait to see where we go next! Check out this series!
I MC romance with grit, emotion, and intensity. Anastacia was given to the Iron Runners by her mother in exchange for drugs. She was abused and SA’d until she became pregnant. She was rescued by the Mayhem MC. She has survived hell—and Grizz is the first man who makes safety feel real. He’s loud, reckless, and dangerous in all the right ways, and once he decides she’s his? Game over. Protective, possessive, and all-in from the start. It took her awhile to give up the past and believe in the future. They get their HEA.
Book 3 of the Hell's Mayhem MC: Maine Chapter series. For maximum enjoyment read the books in series order.
'He never thought he’d fall. She never thought she’d survive.'
The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Grizz is such a big ole teddy bear, especially towards Anastacia. I loved how fast he jumped in and went from playboy to family man. He and Anastacia grew closer and she leaned to trust again. He took on the role of dad so easily and his brother and sister in law helped so much. Grizz wants to go after the man that hurt Anastacia but she wants to keep the past in the past. When trouble comes back, can Grizz keep his family safe?
Loved this story!! Even though Anastasia went through a lot in this book, this was still such a cute story. Grizz was such a perfect MMC. He saw her and immediately had the need to take care of her. He was so sweet and just making sure she was comfortable doing whatever. Anastasia has this way of being positive in life although she had a rough upbringing, not letting that drag her down. Loved the little family they all built in this story.
I have been swept up in this MC world by Penny Fox. Anastasia and Grizz story has alot of trauma and heartbreaking for Poor Anastasia to overcome and I love how to continues to thrive. As their journey of love ,heartbreaking and healing grows a great rounded book. Great writing words flowed, plot keeps you turning those pages till that ending. Amazing and rowdy characters in line with MC life. Highly recommend this read.
Anastasia was given to the Iron Runners in exchange for drugs by her mother She was subjected to abuse from one of the MC until she got pregnant and then the whole club joined in She was rescued from a bar and taken in by one of the Mayhem MC and then one day Grizz showed up and new she was the one There’s a lot of emotions in this book as well as love and some sexy time 😉 I’d recommend it
Raze is book 3 in the Hell's Mayhem MC, Maine Chapter series. It's Anastacia and Grizz's story. I love these characters! Anastacia has been through complete hades and Grizz is just what she needs to learn to love and be safe again. And she's just what Grizz needs too. It's a great one sitting read!
This was such a great read, an emotional journey, the characters have been through so much.
Anastasia and grizz will capture your hearts and not let it go. You will have a hard time putting it down once you pick it up. I sure couldn't stop reading it. It's action packed, spicy and so beautiful. The world building, characters storyline and plot where amazing and wonderfully written.
Anastacia was given to the Iron runners MC by her mother in exchange for her next fix, she suffers at thworbhands and ends up pregnant until shes rescued and meets Grizz who instantly knows shes the one for him, and nothing will stop him from stepping up and being the man she needs. Well written engaging steamy desires drama action and more
Grizz is chaos, but his protectiveness made my heart ache, and Anastacia’s fear felt painfully real. The stakes stay high without dragging, and the found-family vibe really works.
If you like gritty MC romance with real emotion, this one’s worth it.
I LOVED this book. I am not usually a fan of a slow burn but, in the case of Anastasia and Grizz it was a must. After all that Anastasia went through Grizz was the perfect gentleman and let Anastasia take the lead. You really got the feel of how much these two really love each other and the story of how they feel in love was truly perfect. Penny Fox did an amazing job. Great read!
Another great read by Penny! We follow Grizz and Anastacia after we see them a little in Ruin. Grizz falls hard and fast. Reading them fall in love was perfect. The slow burn I didn't know I needed. I love their story and the care and love Grizz shows Anastacia. I love the found family and getting bits of the others as the books go on.
He maybe a hardened killer but when it comes to Anastacia, he is a big ol marshmallow. She was running from an MC when she connected with him and he has taken it upon himself to be her protection. Will he be able to keep his newfound family safe.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Grizz is definitely a huge teddy bear and I love it! Anastasia has been through so much her whole life and meeting Grizz is the best thing that could ever happen to her! Fast paced insta love story and read it all in one sitting. Check triggers
Wow! This was such an awesome story. Tragic beginning, but sweet ending. I love that Grizz had total instalove for Anastacia. How gentle and kind Grizz was with her. Totally worth the read.
